Información sobre la empresa

  1. Servicio de análisis de agua

Escrito por la empresa

TapWaterData is a free, independent website that helps people understand what is in their tap water. Enter a ZIP code or city and you get a plain-English report on your local water system, built from public records: EPA Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS) data, utilities' annual Consumer Confidence Reports, and federal contaminant monitoring such as UCMR 5 PFAS testing. We cover more than 18,000 US cities and the utilities that serve them. Each report shows which contaminants were detected, how the levels compare with EPA legal limits and health-based guidelines, recent violations, and water hardness, with a link back to the source so you can check the numbers yourself. Our approach is science-based and calm. We do not use scare tactics. Most US tap water meets federal standards, and when it doesn't, we say so clearly and explain what it means for your household. When treatment makes sense, we recommend only filters whose claims are independently certified (NSF/ANSI, WQA or IAPMO) for the specific contaminants found in your water, and we check those claims against the certifiers' own listings. Some product links are affiliate links; this never changes which products we recommend, and it keeps the site free. We also publish guides on well water, water hardness, lead in school drinking water, boil-water advisories, and how to read a water quality report. Found an error? Tell us at hello@tapwaterdata.com and we'll correct it.

Andy Zhang

Andy Zhang delves into his research and digs up everything he can find. He then presents the information in an orderly, concise and comprehensible fashion. I have learned so much from his newsletters...and afterall, "Knowledge is power" as they say.

If there was a Pullitzer for this type of research; Andy would get it!!!! I have learned so much from his newsletters.

We've needed an advisory like Tap Water Data for decades! It covers nearly every aspect of our water quality whether it's obtained from delivery service of a municipal utility, private company or privately owned well.

Some important aspects of water quality can become relatively complicated. Tap Water Data enhances understanding of such an important resource.

The Real Deal & Water ExpertS

TapWaterData is a phenomenal place to get real, authentic data from. Living here in Arizona and how hard the water is, among other issues, I’m big into water, climate, and environment research. I have gone on a lot of sites to research and TapWaterData is my go-to. Factual and data to support it. The maps and graphs make it a lot easier to analyze and compare and brings a lot into perspective.

I reached out to TapWaterData to ask a few questions about some places I was looking into moving to. A lot of what’s online is either too vague or written to scare you. I had the pleasure of emailing Andy a few times and he was outstanding. He was responsive and definitely knows his subject. He works from the utility’s own water reports and EPA records, and he was clear about the part people mix up: meeting the legal limit is not the same thing as meeting the health goal. He also didn’t treat a whole city like it has one water supply. If more than one utility serves an area, that changes the answer, and he walked me through it for the places I asked about.

I always look forward to their newsletters. So incredibly informative! One of the many that was an eye opener for me was the one called, “People Have Been Boiling Their Water Since 2010”. It stated, “In Grayling, Alaska, 207 people have been under a boil water advisory since December 2010” and also described the difference between a “boil water” advisory and a “do not drink” advisory. I learned so much from this newsletter that I had to reach out and personally thank them for the information.

Highly recommend TapWaterData! Top notch experts in the water field and customer service! I give this place 5-stars all the way! Appreciate the information and data. Keep it coming!
