I recently attended the Taste Film…

I recently attended the Taste Film showing of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and unfortunately came away very disappointed.

To start with, the film was shown on a surprisingly small screen, which immediately took away from the cinema experience. The interactions and activities before the film began felt very forced and awkward rather than fun or immersive.

The food was a mixed bag. The fries served as a starter were actually quite good. The burger also tasted nice, but for the price paid, I expected much more. The burger patty was tiny – about the size of a 50p coin – which felt poor value for money.

The biggest disappointment was the meatballs, which were seemingly intended to be the main highlight of the experience. They were genuinely terrible. The quality was so poor that I wouldn't have been surprised if they had come straight from a cheap microwave meal.

The dessert was equally disappointing. I'm still not entirely sure what it was supposed to be, but it was unpleasant and left unfinished.

The cocktail was probably the best part of the evening, but even then, considering the overall cost of the event, it didn't feel worth it.

Overall, this was an overpriced and underwhelming experience. The concept is great, but the execution fell far short of expectations. I left feeling like I had paid a premium price for mediocre food and a lacklustre experience.

Incredible

I have been to two separate taste film experiences (White Chicks and Hocus Pocus). The staff were very friendly, the booking process was simple and the food was delicious. The amount of creativity and work in those meals and drinks is amazing. 10/10

Terrible communication

When we booked the tickets, the website glitched and booked for two weeks earlier than the intended day (the correct date was in my basket initially so I have no idea how this happened.) I went in and changed the date to the correct time, but it would only let me change one. After three weeks of constant emails, I didn’t receive a response from the ticket company. Finally received a response after my third time ccing taste film in the email (by which point the original ticket had sold out), no offer of a refund, no offer to let us have the second ticket anyway (seeing as the tables are in twos and we already had one ticket anyway), just offer of a voucher to use in the future. Well I won’t be going there ever again so a voucher won’t be of any use! Such a shame, as the first time we went we had a lovely experience. They need to sort out their communications / use a different ticketing company other than Fever.

Ruined our honeymoon experience

We ordered the Lion King meal and showed up to an empty location. Like most people, I just searched the business name on Google, clicked "directions," and went there. Only later did I find out the real address is completely different.
This is unbelievably unprofessional. No phone call, no phone number on the website, no way to reach anyone.
It was our honeymoon, and instead of a special experience we were left with a bitter taste and huge disappointment. In the end, you basically took £200 from us for nothing.
