One of the most unprofessional firms I have dealt with, from reception through to the solicitors.

They are extremely difficult to reach. Even when you manage to get through to reception, the level of assistance provided is very disappointing. I am currently selling my property, and despite instructing them to act on my behalf, my solicitor has still not responded or made contact with the buyer’s solicitor. This is extremely concerning, particularly when delays could potentially affect the progress of the sale.

Their fees are also expensive, and while I understand that professional legal services come at a cost, I would expect a corresponding level of communication, efficiency and customer service. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience so far.

The lack of communication and apparent urgency has left me feeling very frustrated and concerned about whether my sale is being handled with the attention it deserves.

Based on my experience to date, I would not recommend this firm. I sincerely hope the situation improves and that they begin communicating and progressing my sale promptly.

My overall experience with Taylors Legal was disappointing, particularly in relation to communication.

I never actually spoke to the solicitor allocated to my purchase by telephone throughout the entire conveyancing process; all communication was conducted by email. While I have no issue with communicating by email, there were several occasions when I had to chase for updates, information and explanations rather than being proactively kept informed.

There were also occasions where I felt that the level of knowledge and clarity provided fell below what I would expect from the solicitor handling such an important transaction. Having since spoken to other purchasers in my building who also used the firm, I understand that some experienced similar frustrations with communication.

Unfortunately, the communication issues continued after completion. I was specifically told that monies owed to me would be returned on a particular day. The date passed without the payment arriving and without an update, and I ultimately had to chase the firm myself.

I have also been advised that registration of the title/deeds could take approximately two to three years due to delays. Given my experience so far, I am concerned about whether I will be proactively notified when this is completed or whether I will once again need to chase for an update.

I do want to recognise Murray, whom I dealt with briefly. Although he was not my allocated solicitor, I found him pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and detail-oriented. He made a very positive impression, and it is a shame that he was not the solicitor handling my purchase.

Buying a home is a major financial transaction and, in my view, clients should be able to expect clear communication, appropriate explanations and proactive updates without repeatedly having to chase. Unfortunately, that was not consistently my experience.

Extremely disappointing experience with Taylors Legal. I found the whole process slow, frustrating and poorly communicated. The level of communication from the solicitor handling my matter was extremely poor, and I often felt completely out of the loop.

This was not what I expected when purchasing a property. The experience was so frustrating that it has put me off wanting to continue with the property purchase process altogether….

What made the situation even worse was the cost. I was charged £1,800 (with no contract) to terminate the sale, despite having received very little communication or service. I was also charged £65 for a phone call that I did not request and, as far as I’m concerned, never even had the opportunity to have with the solicitor.

Around 75% of the fees were taken when the sale was terminated. In my opinion, the charges were extremely expensive compared with what I understand other solicitors charge, especially considering the level of service I received.

Overall, I found the service poor, the communication unacceptable and the costs far too high. I would not recommend Taylors Legal based on my experience. If you are considering using them, I strongly recommend getting a full breakdown of all fees, including termination and cancellation charges, and comparing their costs with other solicitors before committing.

I am highly considering escalating this to a formal complaint under your Complaints Handling Procedure if necessary, and to the Legal Ombudsman for an unfair assessment of costs as I was recently informed I was overly charged…

I used Taylors for my first ever property purchase in the UK.Laurence Hutt was the Conveyancing Executive and did a very professional job which was most appreciated in ensuring I made a very tight timeline to complete.He communicated well throughout the whole process and returned every mail or call that I made to him especially towards the end when we were chasing a deadline.Thanks very much.I would highly recommend Taylors as a result.

Taylor’s legal came recommend to me and their response time was excellent to my enquiry. Extremely bad at communicating. Slow and unprofessional. I regret using them

I asked several times to supply information I needed for property completion purposes only to be told at short notice before handover,which was not good enough.
This was very stressful to me and made me angry with them for not supplying information in good time.
Could have done better.Attention to detail is somewhat lacking.
Go elsewhere is my advice.

We used Taylors Legal for our property purchase and were looked after by Safaa Noray. She was always pleasant to deal with and kept us updated throughout the process, which made everything feel straightforward and well‑managed.

There were a couple of moments where we felt we were repeating paperwork, but as we weren’t under time pressure it wasn’t a major issue.

The only real area for improvement is the clarity around fees. Even after exchange (and before completion), I’m still not entirely sure what the final cost will be. The pricing structure is quite complicated for someone who isn’t familiar with legal terminology, so a clearer breakdown would really help.

Overall, friendly and professional service — though with the amount of forms involved, I’m starting to think the real house move was happening in the filing cabinet.

The good reviews cannot be trusted. They are very expensive and very bad. No communication no explanation, it takes at least 1 week to respond to an email. Very bad please keep away from them. I will elaborate when I’m done with them .
