All aspects of our nights stay at Terrace Downs were 5 star +++.
Exceptional staff, exceptional accommodation... and the dining ..... absolutely fabulous. Thank you chefs for for the amazing meal.

Very enjoyable. Quality food, accomadation and Quality people.

We only stayed 1 night however my husband played golf and loved it. Accommodation and dinner in restuarant would have to be the best on our 3 week trip around the South Island. The staff were all fantastic.

Staff were excellent, rooms were great, all in all a really enjoyable stay. I would suggest you put on transport between villas and club house/reception (golf cart/mini bus) especially when the weather is not good though?

Both really enjoyed our short stay with Terrace Downs. Friendly service and very accommodating. Lovely clean and warm villa.
Only disappointing thing is they couldn't fit us in at the day spa while we were there . Highly recommend the clay bird shooting and archery session.

On arrival the reception was friendly and efficient. The villa was spacious, spotless and everything worked. Both the restaurant and the cafe menu was extensive and the food divine.

The best part was the stunning uninterrupted views over acres of lawn and forest. From our room we never saw or heard a car, a bus, a paraglider, a mob, a work gang, just total tranquility and peace.

I would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to relax and unwind… and we are not golfers. I did utilize the spa facility though. Ahhh total bliss.

Our unit needed all the spider webs on the deck and bannister sprayed or swept. The outdoor chairs and table also had webs on them. The food was very average for the $$s however the service was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was disappointing as everything was soggy. Hashbrowns soggy, bacon soft not crispy, sausages very pale and uninviting. The card in our room called us Mr and Mrs Murray which was incorrect.

Indulge yourself for a couple of nights at this great retreat or stay longer. Amazing views over the countryside and mountains, excellent accommodation and good food to suit all tastes.

A definite must if your touring in the Canterbury area.

We spent a fantastic night in a warm comfortable villa. The food at the restaurant was exceptional and the service of all was above excellent.

We had the most relaxing time away and felt removed from all the normal goings on of everyday life. We loved it and cannot wait to come back

Was there for possibly a game of golf but gale force winds and rain prevented that

Absolutely loved the accommodation and beautiful views. Dinner was nice but nothing to get excited about. Staff were excellent.

Terrace Downs staff were helpful & accommodating from our very first email. They extended our voucher use-by date, included another couple at our request & transferred credits. On arrival the staff were welcoming & friendly, this was continued throughout our 2 day stay & included cafe, restaurant, bar & spa staff. The food was excellent with a good selection & reasonably priced, the accommodation was spotless with amazing views, the golf course was beautifully groomed & the Tranquility Massage was the best I've had. Overall we had a wonderful weekend & would recommend a break at Terrace Downs Resort to locals & tourists alike.

We arrived to a very friendly welcome. Our unit was spotless. We turned the couch around and sat just enjoyed the view over the golf coarse. We are not golfers so just enjoyed walking around the coarse to take in the amazing views of the Rakaia river below. The food in the restaurant is as good anywhere, and highly recommend . The only thing I didn't like was the join in the king size . But overall an amazing place to stay.

8 of us stayed in a villa - very spacious for us all. Everything lovely & clean, 1 mug did have a tea stain in the bottom but presume not cleaned effectively in the dishwasher, happens quite often if cups are not rinsed!!
Meal was delicious, staff friendly and efficient.
Totally enjoyed our stay, no complaints.

Our stay was fantastic, stunning scenery, wish we could have spent more time there. Exceeded my expectations! The service was very friendly and attentive, the room was top notch, dinner was delicious, buffet breakfast could have been better (it was nice - room for improvement). I am coeliac, it would have been nice to have some Gluten Free Cereal to choose from as well as maybe Gluten Free Sausages.

We stayed and played golf in the off season but still the service from staff and the quality of accommodation was exceptional.
Everyone was friendly and relaxed without being intrusive.
Highly recommend.

We stayed for a wedding. Very impressed with our unit and the facilities. The staff at the wedding were excellent and we will be back at some stage.

From reservations to check out, everything was fantastic and easy. Staff were happy to accommodate all of our crazy requests- taking group photos, jump starting our car when we had a flat battery. Nothing was a problem for the amazing team there. We stayed in Yuki's chalet as a group and the accommodation was fantastic. There was enough space for all of us and we had a great stay. Waking up to ducks on the pond and hares running across the field was amazing. Would highly recommend terrace downs and hope to go back again soon to explore more of the resort.
