Mediocre Espresso Machines - Terrible Customer Service
I would absolutely avoid this company. We purchased a Demi Espresso machine a few weeks ago and have had nothing but problems with it. The machine itself is definitely not very intuitive to navigate or use in terms of the design and menu. They claim the benefit is that it’s a simplified unit, but with only a knob and a button to push unless you read the manual and memorize it it’s not fun to use. My wife and daughters definitely had a hard time figuring it out without the manual.
Maybe we got a bad unit but we consistently had wet mushy pucks and bad quality espresso. Lots of malfunctions (machine not responding) causing us to have to unplug the machine to restart everything. I decided to take it apart to clean the brew unit hoping it would help, and after cleaning the brew unit it would not go back in the machine no matter how much I tried (it’s a bad design compared to the other automatic espresso machines we’ve owned).
BUT, the real reason I would avoid buying anything from this company is their customer service is horrendous. There is no phone number to call to actually talk to anyone, there is a number posted online, but it only gives a message stating that they are receiving high call volumes and hangs up. After doing some additional homework on trying to reach someone, I scheduled through their website a virtual meeting. After receiving confirmation for this meeting, I the. received an email stating that my problem was an easy fix, and that there was a secret menu that I could access to fix the problem. I followed the instructions and of course it did nothing to help. Before even allowing me to respond about the non-fix, they canceled the virtual call.
I had to open a fraud claim with Affirm to finally get the RMA team to respond after almost 2 weeks. They responded to tell me they couldn't process my return because of the fraud claim, that the money had been frozen (weird the responded within a day after opening the case). I eventually did receive a return label (refund still pending), however they stiffed me on the TK-02 & Demi Better Brewing Bundle ($56) which was unused as they claim they don't have a way to process a return for an accessory, even for a broken machine.
I highly recommend staying away from Terra Kaffe. If you look hard enough, you’ll find plenty of reviews like this. I believe they delete / will not allow negative reviews to be posted (I have not been able to). Bad machines and terrible (non existent) customer service.

Awesome Customer Service
Our new Demi arrived with a tech glitch. TK support staff worked with me to try and troubleshoot but when that didn't work they got a new machine out to me quickly. It's easy to have great customer service when everything goes right; it's when something goes wrong that you find the true nature of a company. TerraKaffe is top notch and I sing its praises to anyone who will listen.
Well Designed Compact Machine
The machine arrived quickly and was easy to unpack and set up. Most of the operations are intuitive, and they also have a handful of videos on YouTube which are helpful. They ability to customize drinks is a major plus. They still need to expand the library of videos, but they are a startup so it may just take time. For example, I purchased brewer cleaner packets but could not find anything on how to use them. I sent a note to their support team and got a quick answer.
One minor inconvenience: there are three things that need to be done regularly, 1) Refill the water tank 2) Empty the waste bin 3) Refill the bean grinder. Since it’s a compact machine, these three tasks have to be done frequently, and they never sync up, so it feels like I have to do one of the tasks after every 2 drinks. The water tank and bean grinder can be done proactively, but the water tank bin seems to be on a counter rather than a sensor, so I can empty it when I’m filling the water tank and still get message to empty the waste bin one or two drinks later. This minor inconvenience is worth the compact size and customization options. Very good product so far. I’ve been using it for almost a month.

Working with TK has been a pleasure since I was one of the first to try the original TK-02 back in 2023. I’ve bought almost all their new products since then because of how well-made and stylish they are. Plus, their customer service has been fantastic, especially with their support email. Feder, in particular, on their support team, has made it super easy to find a solution and always puts the customer first. I really appreciate them and love using the best-tasting and most visually appealing espresso machine on the market today.

TK-02 doesn't live up to the marketing
I wanted to love this machine but I just can't recommend it to others. Issue 1: it doesn't adequately heat/warm milk for latte's, my spouse uses microwave. Issue 2: the app is kludgy and flaky
e.g. when my Internet goes down -- i have to go through hoops to reconnect the app (though it says connected, it's not so schedules don't work) Issue 3: the amount of water volume consumed by starting/cleaning/sleeping is huge, means constantly filling up the water reservoir. Issue 4: you can have a lot of beans in the hopper - but they don't slide down far enough to get to grinder leading to yuck coffee.
I've done 275 brews - so gave it a good try.

We had a great overall experience since they launched the TK-01 (around 2020). Even after the warranty expired, when we had an issue, their team still took care of it. The unit then worked perfectly for another four years before it finally gave out.
The support team was highly motivated and did their best to troubleshoot and resolve the problem. Unfortunately, we ultimately had to replace the unit, but it lasted a long time and the team behind it was excellent.
The Terra Kaffe Demi Dream
I recently received the Terra Kaffe Demi for Christmas from my family and she is just absolutely beautiful and has worked like a dream! It did take some time dialing in the grind settings, strength, and volume to pull that perfect shot but with the help of the Terra Kaffe concierge team we got it just right! I’ve had other espresso machines in the past that just didn’t work out but the Demi is amazing! She’s compact, user friendly aesthetically pleasing and honestly super easy to clean/maintain. I like to tell people if I can use it/figure it out, you can! I honestly love love love her!

We bought the TK-01 before production and LOVED it for several years. When the TK-02 was released we gave the TK-01 to our daughter and son-in-law. He LOVES the machine and has commented that he’s waiting for us to give them the TK-02…
The TK-02 is a better machine with better options, and we still love it. In the mean time, my wife’s sister just bought the Demi on our referral.
Customer service has been excellent to date. I’ve emailed at 7 or 8pm Central time about a question / concern and had an email response within 15 minutes 💥. That’s unheard of with the majority of businesses. We will continue supporting Terra Kaffe.
Demi is great + customer support is top notch
I’ve just purchased the Demi and was immediately provided individualized support upon set up. TK was responsive with troubleshooting. Only a few espresso shots in and I was thrilled with the taste and quality! Even though my Demi needs some extra troubleshooting (it’s stuck on the rinsing step), the support provided by TK has left me confident it will get resolved with minimal stress.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. We have had a TK-01 for a few years after trying many other coffee machines. We love the ability to create our own settings in every part of making a cup of coffee. In the beginning we had some issues with the machine, but the company worked with us to fix our problems. There are also many helpful videos online. If our machine every stops working we won't hesitate to trust this brand to buy a new one. The only thing I would like to see changed is to lighten the color where the brew chamber and coffee puck receptacle is. It's so dark... when we have to clean it we cannot see well. In the mean time I love their other products...lately I've been loving the Aeris cups. Very well made and not fragile at all. Too pretty to put in a cabinet.

I really enjoy my TK2! I have it for two years and it is going strong! I can say I have used it every single day in these last two years. Recently I was experiencing a occasional glitch on the screen and the company promptly send me the box with shipping label to send the machine for repair. I m very happy with their customer service!
worst decision ever
Should have checked the reviews before placing the order.. If you don't have the time to read the full review, just know that if you buy the machine you'll have issues getting any response from their customer "support". Once they get your money, they don't care about your experience. I first wanted to buy the machine on Black Friday sale, but I was going to move from one apartment to another, so I sent them a couple messages through their website support chat and also through the 'contact us' form to ask if the machine could be shipped in couple weeks after the order was placed (which is what their info usually says, but I wanted to make sure it won't ship in 1 day or something). Never got a reply to either of the messages, and by the time I decided not to wait for them anymore and just order the machine to my work address, the promo code was gone. In January I started seeing their paid ad on IG reels saying that they had a biggest sale ever, etc and when I followed the Ad link, it would show me a promo code BCAI200 for an extra $200 discount on the TK-02 machine, which was bringing the total price to the one I saw during the Black Friday sale - $1595. It was still extremely expensive for me but I kept seeing the Ad multiple times a day, so they convinced me and I went ahead and placed an order with the promo code I had, that brought the cost of the machine to $1595 ($200 discount with coffee subscription + $200 with my promo code). I also bought 3 yr protection plan from them at $399 + the coffee itself. Order placed, card charged in full. One day later I got a fraud prevention email from them that prompted me to go through a verification to make sure I paid with my card, etc. I did that and got an email that my verification is done and approved. But another day later my order was cancelled by Terra Kaffe anyway under a pretense that it was 'fraud prevention', which I already verified. So I got a feeling that the promocode for extra $200 might not have been a part of their planned promotion and they just cancelled my order for that reason. I sent an email to their customer "support", but they didn't mention my code or discount at all, said that it was just a fraud prevention and I should place my order again and it won't be cancelled. When I tried to place my order again and used the same promo code Shop app showed me an error message saying that this promo code can be used only once and I've already used it for the order they cancelled. I contacted the "support" again and explained what happened. They said no worries, place that order without your code and we'll honor the original price anyway by refunding the $200 to you. I placed another order, sent them the order number to process the refund and then it began... At first they replied you already have a $200 discount on your new order so you're good. I was surprised and explained once again how my first order was placed with $400 off and they promised to order that price. They just stopped replying to me after that. I was waiting and waiting, then sending follow ups, had to contact them via IG and leave comments under their posts to finally get some sort of response. After that they just started gaslighting me saying that I never had any additional discount, that they system doesn't allow any promo codes when the item is on sale on their website and that I just don't know how to do basic math. While the ones who don't know how to do basic math are their support and their executive Cate who jumped on that conversation and started gaslighting me even more into saying that I'm basically s.t.u pid and don't know what I'm doing and that I never had a $400 discount. I couldn't stand being insulted and gaslighted like that anymore, so I just asked them to send me a return label for their machine, because my money would never go to people like that. If I got a bigger discount due to thei system glitch, they should have just said that the first time instead of cancelling my order and lying to me. I would have accepted that, won't place another order and just forgot abt this. But they decided to quadruple down, gaslight me, lie to me and re-invent calculation. So, Cate, Crustal, and the rest of the TK team, here's a free math lesson for you. The first order I placed had a $400 discount, so the machine was 1595+399 for warranty+ 21.60 for coffee + 164.51 in Tax = 2,180.11. The second order I placed had the machine for 1,795 + 299 warranty + 21.60 for coffee + 172.76 in Tax = 2,288.36. Good luck with your business not knowing math or how to deal with customers.

This machine is beautiful and easy to use. I really enjoy the app which allows me to warm the machine up from bed. The ability to schedule times to start the machine and put it to sleep is also wonderful. I had a glitch with the app not connecting and the customer service was excellent. They responded very quickly.

I just bought the Terra cafe Demi and it is the most complete machine for my needs!!! It’s not only modern and well designed, it has just the right amount of options necessary. And I love the automatic cleaning feature!
Decent Coffee Machines, Subpar Customer Service
The TK-02 coffee machine itself is pretty solid. It looks nice on the counter. The convenience itself outweighs the fact the variable taste/quality of the drinks it makes. Even the espresso or americanos can taste a little different day by day.
What truly disappointments, however, is their customer support approach regarding an item in my order that took almost 30 days to ship. The rest of my order shipped for "free" and shipped quickly for delivery within <7 days, but for whatever reason, this cleaning/maintenance item that took a month to ship did have a shipping fee attached to it. Terra's shipping FAQ page, which was updated a couple of biz days after my order, clearly stated that the item should only take 3-5 days to ship out unless it was backordered. I was never notified that the item was backordered, with Terra ultimately claiming that this cleaning accessory was in super high demand and thus the long shipping time. Hard to believe a cleaning item is in such high demand...
Their support claimed to understand my frustration and acknowledged that the shipping time didn't match their own FAQ communications BUT still refunsed to refund the $8 shipping charge. I spent over $1,600 on a coffee machine, some bags of coffee, and cleaning supplies and they wouldn't refund 0.005% of my spend due to the poor shipping performance.
Being this rigid in their refund approach gives me tons of pause about recommending Terra to friends/family or making additional purchases from Terra myself.
