Contacted this company about having a new drive laid, but the company just put us in touch with a cowboy who has left us with no end of problems. The Driveway Company just washed their hands of all responsibility.

This Company is truly the most honest and professional company that we have ever dealt with. After having a complete disaster with our driveway only months after being laid by another company, where there 10 year guarantee meant nothing, we were at our wits end. Thousands of pounds out of pocket and an embarrassing driveway! A friend recommended this Company and Steve and his Team were so friendly and reassuring explaining what they would do to resolve the problem. The result is amazing! We now have a driveway to be proud of!

I really do not know where to start other than first of all a big thank you for Mick, Steve and installation team.

They have transformed and average sized front garden / driveway which was mixture of grass and old crumbly tarmac in to a spectacular resin driveway with a two tone border and it looks fantastic, even our neighbours are having theirs done.

Called Mick from his website, no answer but he called me right back, he arranged for Steve to contact me to go through a few things, Steve gave me a rough idea over the phone which to be honest was in between the two other quotes I had received, one was extremely low so we discounted that.

Once Steve came round to do the onsite visit it was quite apparent he knew his trade and advised us on a number of areas we had not considered, even the higher quote had not given us these options, suffice it to say we went with Steve.

The boys were very courteous and respected our neighbours with the minimal of noise etc.

So once again to Mick, The Driveway and Home Improvement Company Ltd for putting all this together and to Steve and his team for an incredible transformation.

I would just like to say thank you to Mick and the Driveway & Home Improvement Company Ltd for an amazing service and to Steve for an amazing new resin driveway, what a combination.

I contacted Mick through his website and within an hour I had a call from Steve, who asked a number of questions, most of which I answered, this gave him enough information to give a ballpark quote which Mick passed on to us.

They did say that if the quote was within budget then Steve would complete a site visit, which we asked him to do.

Steve came out a couple of days after and confirmed a lower amount, I had given a higher square meterage than it should have been, so a bonus.

The work could not be completed for nearly 3 months because they are that busy (I can see why) however once they got here they turned a grotty old tarmac driveway into something magical, they were very professional, clean, tidy, and worked seamlessly.

All in all, I would highly recommend The Driveway & Home Improvement Company Ltd along with Steve and his team.

Our experience in dealing with this company has been incredibly frustrating and unsatisfactory. The company quoted for installing a driveway. We were pleased with the work done, but the promised 15 year guarantee never materialised, as Mick Young, the Managing Director of this company, said that actually a second company had carried out the work. This was the first time that a second company had been mentioned to us. The quote for the work was provided by Mr Young, and we confirmed to Mr Young that we were happy to proceed on the basis of the quote. The quote was on an email with his company’s logo on it, and there was no mention that another company would be doing the work . Despite the involvement I’ve just mentioned, Mr Young claims that his company merely provides an introduction service and therefore has no responsibility for providing a guarantee. The company that we belatedly learned did the work claims that they were merely working as a sub-contractor to Mr Young’s company and therefore have no responsibility for providing a guarantee. Clearly both parties can’t be right, and we are not making any judgement as to which one is right. However the lack of clarity over roles and responsibilities of both parties falls firmly at Mr. Young’s feet and has led us to the frustrating situation we are now in, with no prospect of after sales service should we need it .
