I believe they have gone bankrupt with over $3,000. of unused ticket value.I thought I was calling United and somehow got this travel consolidator. When Covid came, my money was refunded from United to the consolidator.Does anyone have any information on how to claim a loss?

RED FLAG! When I tried to call a legitimate airline, my call was redirected to an agent of ARC/theairticketscom/Wayfare FL (as I found out later). The agent confirmed that he was an official representative of the airline and that I had called directly the airline. He did change my tickets and charged me $360.00!!! When I received their confirmation email and after I read it carefully, I realized that I dealt with a travel agency. I searched it online and there were only negative comments including phone redirection, extreme overcharging and other scamming actions. I sent them an email immediately requesting the cancellation of their service and a full refund. Then I called my bank and asked them to stop the payment. After that I made sure that this time I was calling and connected to the airline, I changed my tickets without been charged a penny, because I was not supposed to pay anything anyway as the airline informed me. On top of it, just for a peace of mind, I went to the airline's counter at the airport to confirm the transaction. A rep from ARC called me to reassure me that they were going to fully refund me and begged not to take any legal actions. At least, I did get my money back which I would in any case since I had disputed the charge with all the necessary evidence.
