Stay away. Nonexistent costumer service. After waiting for them to fulfill my order, I had to contact my CC company to cancel payment.
Placed an order over the weekend and it still has not shipped. The website says 3 business days and it has been 5 still nothing, also sent an email and no response they will take your money very quickly but getting the advertised product in the timely manner like they claim won’t happen.
I placed an order on January 7th. 15 days later it hasn't been processed. They do not respond to email nor chats. Avoid this company! UPDATE: After sending two texts (no response), two emails, two emails (no response). Only after I called them out on Trustpilot, you guessed it, I then got a response. Proceeded to tell me that one of the items I’d order was out of stock….here’s the kicker, stated they’d been trying to contact me but the phone number I entered into the email was not a complete number. STOP IT! The number I entered was indeed a complete number. Tried to clean it up by untruthfully blaming me. Of course I understand they were trying to come up with some believable tale for you who indeed read their reviews. Funny thing is if they had tried to contact me and the number was incomplete (it was not) all they had to do was revert to the info I entered when I set up my account. Both my phone number and email are shown there. No, they didn’t try to contact me and only responded after I entered the negative review. Sad sad sad, they compounded an already negative situation with falsehoods. READ AND HEED the negative reviews about THE BARREL TAP. I’d made a number of purchases successfully but when they dropped the ball they counter with untruths. They earned the 1 star review, and after their untruthful response, if I could change it to zero stars I would. Read and heed the negative reviews about this company. My last experience with them tells me that they earned every negative review that you read.

The worst customer service and delivery (or lack of) experience. My company placed an order for a client gift over a week ago and I have followed up multiple times on shipping, with someone responding each time and promising to ship asap. Several follow ups later and still no shipping confirmation or refund. Absolutely terrible.
STAY AWAY FOLKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! This website is a total scam bot set-up. Ordered a liquor, took my money ASAP..........end of story. Waited and waited and NO tracking info or order status. Never reply to the so-called email. Never answer the phone! And the chat is a bot that refers you to the email or phone number. what a set up!! So there is no way to get your money back unless you appeal to your credit card or what ever method of payment utilized. I should have researched this scam website first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Update: In reply to the lying reply from them, I have NEVER ordered from this company before and have NO account!!!! I cannot even look up my account pertaining to the one and only order I have pending now!! That is a lie! I cannot belive they are replying to a true review only hours after I posted it - BUT they will not answer my 8 emails and 4 phone calls I have been sending for weeks!!!!!!!!!! People, this is a fraud company.

I would give A 0 if I could. I paid $44 for 3 day Shipping on Dec 5th. No one replies. I called and that person lied and said “ order on his desk it will be going right out” that was a week ago. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!!!! Can’t get anyone to call or email me back.
I've had an order that went unfulfilled, was told that it was lost and they would send a replacement out. It's just been crickets over a period of 30 days, after 5 attempts and aggravations I need to make better use of my time. I missed out on the order, out a few hundred bucks. I don't write many reviews, but I feel like I've been taken by total crooks!
For the third time I specifically paid the higher price for the original "MAISON FONDEE" marked label HENNESSY 750ml. For those who can't tell the difference get The Barrel Tap's watered down NBA edition. "MAISON FONDEE has a more Robust flavor.
I pay $62.80 per bottle for delivery from "thebarreltap.com" vs. $47.40 at a retail outlet.
I AM beginning to think they really don't carry the real Hennessy as advertised.
Are there Any other true Hennessy drinkers agree to the difference is robust flavor vs. their so-called NBA/Hip Hop knockoffs ?
Made two orders so far. First order everything went very smoothly. Second order, it was the correct bourbon brand only incorrect series. Sent an email explaining problem with pictures.No response was received, called and spoke with Tim. He quickly sent a return label and refunded my money. Would Purchase from Barrel Tap again.
Fantastic packaging and very timely shipping. Order placed on 11-12-23 and delivered 11-20-23 without any issues. A customer cannot expect more from an online purchase and they have earned a second order.
Everything went very smoothly with my ordering experience, from placing the order to checking with The Barrel Tap to ensure that the order had been correctly processed. When there was an issue with something I needed to change, Tim in Customer Service immediately effected the change, and could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. They stole from me. 0 stars. Placed an order just under $1k. They tried to ship it one time, was returned to sender due to damaged product. They have yet to reship product. Wont answer emails, phone calls, etc. Complete SCAM.
If I could give negative stars I would. I bought a bottle of whiskey as a gift to be shipped to the west coast. I live in the Midwest. They incorrectly shipped it to me and I am unable to ship it myself because I’m not a distributor. My money is wasted because I’m not a whiskey drinker and I have no way of having it delivered. They will not return my phone calls or emails.
If it was a mistake Barrel Tap, then how come you kept my shipping payment and wouldn't have refunded it if I didn't say something. I DID order items, but they never showed up on my order. Look at all the negative reviews you have and how many important gifts you screwed up for people. We all know where the problem lies.
They sent a “ rotten” $60 bottle of tequila. The cork broken into a hundred pieces into the bottle and it smelled and tasted rancid. I called multiple times and sent multiple emails with no response. Will never use again
Please be aware... I paid for a tequila adictivo extra anejo cristilano and they sent me a cheap reposado. Half the price bottle
I wish we could give 0 stars for this place. We spent almost $400 for a birthday/Father’s Day gift. It’s like they are crappy on purpose to scam credit card companies to pay them and refund the customers. They ruin experiences on purpose. They made the packaging seem trustworthy on the outside, but when our dad opened the box, all of the bottles had broken seals. We notified them of our issue, and they just came up with excuses with no resolution. The employee said the manager wasn’t at the warehouse but was on the way and would give me a call back. That was a LIE! We got no call back, and they dodged the rest of my calls. At this point, just you’re better off just getting it from a brick & mortar. This company will just steal your money and deceive you with their fake 5 star ratings on their website. Do not use this company and waste your time with them.
This company is unreliable and has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They never shipped my dad's 80th birthday present after I paid 100 dollars for shipping. I used a chat function and no one answered and 8 calls with my number on an answering machine went unreturned. Don't waste your time or money !!!
In my experience, this company doesn't deserve even one star. I ordered something for my son in law's birthday and I waited months for it to be delivered. I finally contacted (by email: they never answered their phone) them and received a message back that my order was in transit, supplying a tracking number. When I looked for it it said it had "been delivered. Left at front desk." I wrote them back, explaining that there IS NO front desk in my development. I asked politely how they intended to fix the problem. I never heard from them again, despite numerous emails. I had to resort to a "charge-back." I will never use their service again and advise everyone to follow my example.
The Barrel Tap doesn't even deserve a one star in my book. I ordered 2 items to be delivered to my son for his 21st Birthday. It took forever. While tracking it said something was damaged was sent back to them and then shipped again. It did not make it in time for my son's Birthday and one of the items was missing. I have tried everything to contact them. I called the number I found on instagram no answer so I left a message, I have emailed them letting them know an item was missing, and I have tried to chat online with them and no response. I am very frustrated. If he is not going to get his other item then I would like my money back for that item. I stated this in one of my many attempts. Would not recommend to anyone ever!!!
