We have a stunning selection of big houses to rent in the UK, from historic manor houses to uber sophiscated barn conversions. All the houses have plenty of space for you to enjoy with your group. Spaces for socialising together, spaces for fun and laughter and large dining spaces for those all important times with everyone around the table for a delicious meal. Then, when the evening draws to a close, you'll find blissful sleep in comfortable, stylish bedrooms. We are a small, family run company founded in 1994 and we pride ourselves on helping our guests have a wonderful time, celebrating birthdays, , reunions, anniversaries, family holidays and corporate away days. We handpick the big houses we feature on our site and only include those properties that will give our guests a great experience. If our standards aren't met we don't include a house within our collection. We expect all the houses to be immaculately clean, have a luxury feel, have large spaces so you don't feel crowded and have features that wow you. We have visited them all and we would be very pleased to give you our first hand knowledge of each house, whether by phone or email, you'll always get personal service from our small and dedicated team. Amazing House and very helpful before visit
We Spent the weekend at Tone Dale, Somerset and had a wonderful time. The house is amazing with plenty to do and the gardens are beautiful. Beverley and Victoria were also really easy to contact before our trip and all information given prior to arrival was useful.
Cannot recommend it highly enough

Wonderful Tone Dale
Wonderful few days spent at Tone Dale, Somerset. The house felt spacious and full of character. There was so much to do in the garden and house that we were content to just be there. Suited all perfectly, from aged 3 to 90.

We had the most incredible weekend at…Middleton manor
We had the most incredible weekend at Middle Littleton Manor! The photos really didn’t do the house justice. The rooms were huge and it was so well equipped. It literally had everything we needed and more.
The house is very beautiful, quirky and steeped in history. It was truly wonderful to spend time here with 6 families - the children were never bored and loved exploring the house and of course the HUGE hot tub.
I would highly recommend this place and the Big House Co

Fantastic stay at Widcombe Grange for…
Fantastic stay at Widcombe Grange for 22 family members. Booked pre covid and rescheduled several times but always with great communication and assistance. The BHC recommended several caterers and activities (clay shooting, murder mystery) which were brilliant. The house was amazing. Thoroughly recommend.

Dream Holiday for our Family
Our holiday hasn't taken place yet, but so far the experience of booking with The Big House Co is fantastic and we are looking forward to meeting Peter and Caroline to help us celebrate our events at Widcombe Grange (a breath taking venue!!).

The Ideal Party House
We have visited Tonedale House for a big family get together before Christmas for four years now. It really helps that it is a small family run business; they are always polite, helpful and anxious to ensure that all goes well with this special weekend. The house itself is extremely comfortable and well appointed, with space and facilities to keep three generations occupied, with a music/party room, a games room with pool, table tennis and table football as well as the ever popular jacuzzi! (I nearly forgot the croquet set too). Even though it is a period house, the heating is fantastic. We have been there in the Winter only, but I'm looking for an excuse to have a Summer party!
Situated just on the edge of Wellington, it is only five minutes drive to the town centre where there is a welcome large super market, and there are easy walks as well.
We are all looking forward to this year's visit!
