It’s been such poor service, I kept writing to say I haven’t received the cabinet after paying in full, I already approved and they kept responding to tell me to ‘log in’ and approve without sending the link and then from nowhere sent me a refund for 32£ less than I originally paid for the cabinet
What horrendous service .is this a scam ? And a total waste of ver 5 months time !

Had a really good experience with this shop. Louis was super helpful throughout and when I asked if they could speed things up, they expedited the whole process for me, really kind of them to go out of their way like that. Delivery was great and the quality is outstanding.
Can't recommend them enough. Will definitely be ordering again and I've already been telling people about them!

After a lot of searching and emails to various companies to get a custom made shelving unit for an alcove coffee station, and not having any success. I came across The Cabinet Shop. Originally sent an email with dimensions and a rough description of what we wanted. The response was very quick and helpful with a link to a similar unit. With this sample unit sent through the link provided I was able to adapt it , by adding shelves, dividers and changing the dimensions etc etc. After a couple of emails to confirm sizes with sketches/diagrams to confirm everything was as expected. (Within this time we were still able to make changes should we have wanted/needed to) The order was then confirmed, paid for and manufacturing then starts. The order took possible 5 weeks from this point to delivery.
Once received, the unit was assembled by us with clear instructions and all fixings provided. It is very well made, very heavy and very sturdy.
The price was very reasonable and would not hesitate to order further products from The cabinet Shop.

I needed to design my bookcase myself but lacked the know how and skill to make it. The cabinet shop does this perfectly. They were very responsive to my several alterations and then delivered exactly what I needed. Even with paint and a bit of fiddling it saved me a lot of money on hand fitted shelving by the usual big boys but still allowed me to design it. Very satisfied with both product and price. I would use them again.

Excellent quality product. Really helpful to deal with. Very pleased - we ordered a large bookcase with cupboards underneath and it looks really good.

I paid £150 for 5 small pieces of unpainted MDF and a bunch of screws. I had to wait 6 weeks for delivery too. What's worse is that the door didn't fit and I was told that was normal. They'd send a replacement but I needed to pay for delivery. Terrible customer service and vague small print. Instructions we also generic and poorly printed.

Avoid at all costs. I recently purchased a large dresser from the cabinet shop. ( I had purchased once before)
Firstly there are no instructions how to assemble.
They have changed their fittings and the quality is not the same. In order to save on 2 pieces of mdf instead of splitting into 3 sections it was 1 large piece. This meant the shelf fittings were not the same and so piecing it to gether was like solving a Rubix cube.

These shelves all needed to be fitted in order to build the unit. All adding to the weight needing lifted

The doors were un attachable and are now in the bin

1300 for what is now a giant mdf bookcase. If you are thinking of buying don’t bother go to ikea save yourself half the cost and all the mental anguish of trying to instal. There are so many ikea hacks and compared to building this unit they would be a doddle. Plus ikea give you the bonus of assembly instructions.

By the way I still have to paint my mdf bookcase

I have never been more impressed with the care that went into the packing of the unit I ordered from this company to ensure it’s safe and undamaged delivery.

One can add to this the exemplary quality of materials and the precision with which the individual panels were prepared according to my specifications,

As yet I have not assembled the unit but if it is the wrong size it will only be my fault.

I would have no hesitation in choosing this company over and over again should the need arise.

From the ordering to the details provided to insure our cabinet was correct before the production has been outstanding. The delivery and the way it was packaged to the detailed instructions and each piece being labelled is more than we expected. Cabinet went together perfectly now I just have to paint. Will certainly be buying more items in the future.

Able to design a cupboard to fit perfectly into an awkwardly shallow space - very happy. Double doors always a self-assembly challenge but the precision of the parts here and quality of the hinges made aligning them actually easy.

Really impressed with this company. Really easy website to provide options, drawings were provided in advance, and regular updates along the way at every stage. Final doors were of excellent quality, and exactly as specified.
Wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.

We are so pleased with our bespoke cabinets and bookshelves. Working with Louis to perfect the design was easy and efficient - the design process was extremely thorough and we were asked to double check all measurements and aspect of the design on several occasions.

Customer service was great during and after - delivery was great - delivered to a room of our choice and the instructions for building were easy to follow. We had a couple of issues where the feet were missing and a hole hadn’t been cut but after reaching out we were sent the feet which arrived next day and found a solution to the missing hole.

Really pleased with the finished product and they were easy enough to sand, prime and paint. They look fantastic - much cheaper than bespoke carpentry yet still bespoke!

We were looking for a TV unit tall enough to cover a high wall-mounted plug socket. After scouring the internet, we found very few options that met our size requirements—until we discovered The Cabinet Shop. Their products are highly customizable and finished to an exceptional standard, and we couldn't be more pleased with our TV unit. Despite being a bespoke piece, it was reasonably priced. The only downside was that the assembly instructions were a bit sparse, but they do offer phone support if you need help. Overall, I highly recommend this company.

Even this DIY failure managed to assemble the bookcase within 5 hours of receiving the packages - including numerous cooling off stops in the current hot weather! Parts well labelled with peel-off labels, and holes & mortises accurate to the mm (and so was the rest of it). Company says their online assembly guide is generic, and it is. So you have to think carefully as you proceed but nothing seemed to be taken for granted and the one question I asked by phone was answered promptly. The made-to-measure bookcase is exactly what I was looking for.

Ordered two corner bookcases. They didn’t put in cutaways so they would fit around the skirting board so the had to resend amended pieces. When putting them together there was a major design flaw in that the tenons would not fit as the that part of the shelving was already in place . I was advised to just saw it off and ‘it will be fine’. Precision engineering indeed. But in other respects it was too precise. Measured in the factory to such minuscule tolerances that a skim of paint made it very tricky to fit. And of course I was advised to paint it first, also resulting in painting large portions that were not seen. Minimal fitting instructions, incorrect labelling of parts and not enough connectors being sent.Disappointing doesn’t adequately cover it.if you need something like this, choose a local carpenter and boost your local economy. Steer clear of these guys

These guys are amazing. I drew a complicated triple cabinet with a false back and top cut-out for a big TV on a riser stand, with various cable holes and shelves. It was designed and manufactured perfectly and I am amazed at the quality. Big thanks to Louis and Lewis.

It is a sad to see that the vast majority of companies out there don't come anywhere close to these guys and at a fair price to boot. Where others skimp, they focus on getting the basics right and it really shows. They use superior materials for their furniture, they have a great design team who work with you to get things exactly right, the packaging and delivery is far beyond what I've seen from other companies and when something goes wrong, they sort it out.

I just wish other companies were this good. We will certainly be returning in future and I look forward to it.

I would highly recommend the cabinet shop the dresser that I ordered was first class they helped me all the way from measurement to finalizing the project. they made the flat pack so easy to assemble with there modern techniques. thank you mark, will and the team I will highly recommend them to my friends and colleagues

Ordered and paid for (in full) bespoke solid oak, they delivered veneer. Got money back from the bank and Cabinet Shop was supposed to be collecting units. Whilst awaiting their collection as agreed, The Cabinet Shop tried to claim the full price from the bank! They didn't collect the units, the bank didn't pay them and we ended up scraping the units! Shame I can't give negative stars!
