I was visited by a lovely representative on the 4th of August from Drain Doctor to give me a quote for 3m of Aco Drain’s that needed installing. I was quoted over 3.5K for this job that would take two men two days to complete. I have since found a competent installation team that will do the job for £550.
I really do question the Drain Doctor’s overly priced quote and their ethos to not deliberately attempt to rip people off! If my parents had accepted this quote I would have been livid with this outfit! I know every business needs to make a profit but surely not through deception and blatant over pricing?!

I hired Drain Doctor to put in a new water main, I had several quotes and theirs was in line with others so I had them do the work, it was done quickly. A month or so later after a heavy rain water flooded into my garage from around the old water main they had cut off. I was out of town on vacation and so they met with my daughter they informed her that the down spouts from the roof were not draining out into back yard, and that it would cost $16,000 to fix it. I was panicked and as I had used them in the past I thought that I could trust them. I authorized the work, it was done quickly, in just one day with only two workers. Once I saw how quickly it was done I asked why did it cost so much, he told me they charge by the food. Now the line is only one foot deep. So now I decided to get another quote from another contractor, he estimated 5-6000 for the job not the 16,000 drain doctor charged. Yes it was my mistake for trusting with out getting other bids. JUST BEWARE OF DRAIN DOCTOR DO NOT WORK WITH THEM WITH OUT GETTING OTHER BIDS...this is for the US based company
