We have shopped a couple of times during the lockdowns and the selection and customer services is always 5 star!! The staff are friendly, helpful and make the whole atmosphere welcoming- we cannot wait to be able to sit in and enjoy their selections once they are allowed to fully reopen! We will be first in line!

We came to The Grape Variety for the scaletrix event, this was booked as a surprise for my husbands 50th birthday. We had a great time, the big boys were very competitive! and we enjoyed great wine and cheese boards with family and friends.
Would definitely recommend coming to The Grape Variety as the staff do so much for you and the atmosphere was just perfect.

Fantastic to have such a friendly and knowledgeable presence in our village. Every wine has a story and Ben knows all of his stories and recounts them articulately. This feeds into the experience of enjoying each wine you select. Not to mention every bottle I’ve purchased from him I have enjoyed immensely.

We have a monthly wine subscription and it’s become our favourite day of each month! The guys are always friendly and helpful and the wines are lush!

Great service and communication, also amazing wine!

I have used TGV twice. The first time we went with friends to their branch in Chipstead & had a fantastic night out. Such a charming place, great wines, helpful staff, was a really fun evening. After the pandemic set in, we found out about their delivery service. We ordered a hamper of half bottles & had another hamper sent to our friends’ & we had a brilliant evening doing a wine tasting over zoom. The wines arrived on time, hand delivered by their staff wearing wine aprons, beautifully wrapped hamper & again a fabulous selection of wines. I have worked in the wine trade for over 10 years & am very particular about my wines, but TGV have a super selection of good quality niche wines that you won’t see in every supermarket/ wine warehouse. A great little business!

TGV , is a great local business, friendly staff, can’t wait for the winebar to open again , pizza night, cheese & meat boards , great wine , lots of knowledge. Support Local Business... highly recommend

Great feeling and atmosphere, great staff and great wine!

We are lucky enough to have this gem of a place within waking distance!
It really is the best place to have a relaxed evening with friends enjoying a bottle of your favourite wine. The atmosphere is just perfect.
The staff are all very very friendly but extremely professional, they certainly know they’re stuff when it comes to wine advice!
Can’t help recommending it to people but at the same time want to keep it our little secret!!

Found this place before the first lockdown, gutted I didn’t find it sooner otherwise would have gone a lot more! Really great wines and great service whether that be wine buying or eating/drinking at the bar. Just has such a personal feel to the place and hidden gem in the local community. Can’t wait to visit more once we are allowed!!

It’s great place for a night for 2 or with a group Of friends. The team are very friendly and very knowledgeable about wines!! The atmosphere makes a great night out! Definitely a hidden gem!!

The Gems of lockdown are hidden from most people. The Grape variety adapted to customer needs and became a pop up restaurant, bistro, cafe and wine bar to keep us all happy and continue business. It was not easy but they have succeeded. Customers are their greatest asset and I am sure they will continue to put them first when lockdown is over. A great place to visit, buy wine, talk about it, attend events and most of all enjoy the experience.

We love The Grape Variety! My husband and I have been quite a few time since they opened their doors. Every visit is a super experience. The staff are lovely and very attentive. They always recommend great wines and we love the charcuterie plates and the Thursday night pizzas! Look forward to getting back their as soon as they open again. A super little place in Chipstead!

Great night out with innovative food and wine pairing. My husband and I enjoyed an evening here with a guest chef and very attentive staff.

We moved to the area in October ‘19 and quickly fell in love with our new local wine bar, The Grape Variety. Super friendly staff, a fantastic selection of wines and a relaxed atmosphere meant we have spent a number of afternoons / evenings there as a family, couple and with friends. We also used the delivery service when the bar had to close over lockdown. We’ll be back as soon as we can!

Lovely little wine bar!! I came here last summer with my bestie for some wine. It was our first visit and we weren’t sure which wines we would like, the staff were super friendly and helpful and ran through some options they thought we would like. The place is cozy with a lovely atmosphere. We had some nibbles too which was beautifully presented. Quite dear but I think worth it as it has a really nice vibe and is somewhere a bit different for a quiet drink with a friend. I’ll be returning when we can. highly recommend.
