Don't use Lizzie's Hog Roast
We have been to the hop shed a few times and it's been great.
Unfortunately on 28th July the food van was atrocious. Six of us went. 3of us queued for an hour for food only to be told just as we were 3 people away from being served that they had run out of rolls and there wasn't enough of the hog roast to serve us. It was supposed to be Top Hill Hog roast who were brilliant before, but this time it was Lizzie's Hog roast and what a shambles it was. There was only one person serving, with a young child with them who was digging about with the pigs head and pulling out its teeth, not a nice sight. We had to rush to pub for a meal which obviously cost a lot more.
Sorry Hop shed lovely beer but you have lost a customer here, infact 6 customers. It will take a while for us all to come back.

I'm so sorry that you did not get fed last Friday. Hill Top Farm is now renamed as Lizzies Pig Roast - it is the same lady and the same pigs. Unfortunately food vendors have to estimate how many portions they are going to sell when catering outside events and cannot bring infinite amounts of food. The number of portions sold varies considerably from week to week and last week we were exceptionally busy early which meant the food sold out early.
I can appreciate how frustrating and disappointing it must have been to have queued for so long and not been fed. I apologise on Liz's behalf. (The food vendors are separate businesses to The Hop Shed).
Fab beer, excellent customer service

The whole family took a picnic and…
The whole family took a picnic and enjoyed tasting the different ales. It was nice to be able to go inside the barn to get out of the hot sun. Maybe some parasols could be put up outside in hot weather. Good quality and fast delivery of t shirt ordered.
