Seven years of writing, four abandoned manuscripts, two agents who didn't work out. This book was my last serious attempt before I was going to quietly give up. The team saw something in it I'd stopped being able to see myself. Eight months later it's on a bestseller list and I'm writing the sequel under contract. Never actually give up.

Went with their premium self-publishing package this year after seeing them promoted on a few bookish podcasts. The editing and interior formatting were both handled well and the turnaround was faster than quoted which never happens so credit where it's due. What I wasn't thrilled about was the BookTok and social media marketing strategy they offered as an upsell.

It felt very templated the kind of content that worked in 2022 but doesn't really cut through anymore. When I brought this up they were receptive but the revised plan still felt generic. I ended up hiring a separate book marketing freelancer to handle that side of things. Production? Great. Marketing? Do it yourself or find someone specialized.

So i had this story idea that would not leave me alone, but I am terrible at actually sitting down and writing. The Ink Experts helped me figure out the structure and get the actual words on the page.

They weren't pushy about it, which I appreciated. Some parts of the process moved slower than I'd hoped, and there were a few back and forths where we didn't quite understand each other at first. But we got there eventually. The final manuscript is solid. Not life-changing or anything, but it's what I wanted to write.

As someone new to publishing, I appreciated having guidance, even it it was not perfect. The team explained steps when asked, though sometimes I had to ask more than once for clarity. Editing improved the manuscript but didn't dramatically reshape it.

This wasn’t a flashy experience, but it was a dependable one. Publishing tasks were handled carefully, and timelines were generally respected. Marketing support leaned toward building a solid foundation rather than chasing short-term results, which felt more sustainable.
