A great opportunity
I chose this course after watching a YouTube review because I wanted a legit interior design course and a valid diploma, even if it isn't accredited. I appreciate being able to learn and complete assignments at my own pace. My tutor, Laura, is exceptional: so human, diligent, and highly professional. She answers all my questions with insightful professional tips and tricks. What you get from your course depends on you. You can choose to speed up and get your diploma ASAP within 6 months, or take your time to develop your designer brain and make sure you know what you’re doing. That’s the path I chose, and I love not having to compete with anyone but myself. The student support is amazing, too. I’ve faced very difficult challenges lately, and IDI and Laura supported me every step of the way, helping me get through it and realize my dream of becoming a professional interior designer. IDI - Highly recommended!
The modules are clearly written and easy to follow, even for someone with very little experience.
The content is comprehensive and very informative, and the tutor's responses are quick and helpful.
The journey to becoming an interior designer has been pleasant, exciting and great value for money!
My only comment would be to perhaps add suppliers in South Africa for sourcing furniture in module 10, as the listed countries are not relevant to SA students

I enjoy studying through IDI, the course has given me a strong foundation in both the technical and creative aspects of interior design .

Easy to understand

Module 10 taught me the true value of…
Module 10 taught me the true value of client engagement. I learned that a successful design doesn't start with a mood board—it starts with listening. This project pushed me outside my comfort zone by challenging me to design a bedroom in a style I wouldn't normally choose, which expanded my creativity and made me a more versatile designer. The step-by-step process, from the initial client meeting to the site evaluation, gave me a realistic understanding of how a professional design project unfolds from start to finish.

Genuinely have enjoyed this program. Was able to do this while working full time as it is flexible. I just wish that as a Canadian student, when you are provided with links and recourses for products that they were not all Australian suppliers.

Amazing course but surely I am not perfect...
I cannot fault my experience of learning through this course. It has been amazing to be doing it at my own pace, as life can really take a turn, and rushing through studying that I am passionate about would have me feeling very different. Instead, I feel like I am able to absorb all the information and really push my thinking outside the box. The tools are so useful, and the guidance is clear. I have scored 10s throughout, and honestly, this does have me questioning just how much my tutor is paying attention to my submissions (are they really perfect)? I am not receiving the type of critical feedback I thought I would. This would be my only comment to be taken on board.

Worth it!
I love the feedback I am getting from my tutor. She continues to give me very useful feedback to take into account to keep striving to become better and better. The way it is set up is also another thing I am a big fan of. It’s super easily set up and keeps everything organized.
