I had Dr.Amari and she was extraordinary! She helped my neck pain from being super tight to nice and loose! She will even give tips on how to reduce pain. She was truly a great chiropractor!

I was in desperate need of pain relief from a bulging disc and a friend suggested maybe seeing a chiropractor. I had never been, so I didn't know what to expect.
However, after two visits, I knew they weren't for me.
The location in McDonough has very limited equipment and offered no comfort
I did find another Chiropractor with a full office and treatment rooms with all the necessary equipment, they're doing an amazing job for me.
The joint then tried to stick me for a three month membership. That is what they're selling. They did appear to be interested in what their patient was going through. They simply wanted to sell membership even if they can't help you.
If you go there, be aware of the membership push.
Great Care

I drove to BR and after about a 6 hr drive my sciatic nerve was bothering me some. I stayed w friend who use The Jojnt very frequent and the wife was going the next morn (Sat Sept 19th to get her treatment. They convinced me to go ahead a get one done as well. The "TECH" went thru his SCRIPTED ROUTINE and NEVER addressed my issue, what was worse, I left there w very weak legs and pain. My leg almost gave way when climbing onto the truck.. My shoulders were hurting, in fact, I had to put ICE of them.....the pain did not go away until the following Thursday after I had returned to Dallas. The sciatic nerve was never addressed. USELESS and possibly dangerous. Then he had the audacity to draw up a plan and try to SELL ME ON A TREATMENT PLAN even though he never addressed the initial problem. BTW, I asked on multiple occassions about my issue...he ignored my question and just said ... your mobility is better now. I did not go in for MOBILITY. I expected some manipulating of the hip and legs area while on my side ...ZERO. (I was never on my side) I received the invoice via email and I replied inquiring as to the name of the TECH who did the treatment... NO REPLY. Seemed more interested in SELLING A MULTIPLE TREATMENT PLAN THAN TAKING CARE OF A PATIENT.
update: It is now 9/28 and I am still sore...something happened when he put me on my back and front side and applied his PRESSURE TREATMENTS....on going problems now.
Disappointing place
This place disappointed me with its pricing and staff. I understand why places don't take insurance because it helps to avoid filing claims, but it makes it difficult at times. I just wanted to get an adjustment, but I felt as though I was being sold a bunch of 'deals' instead of medical help. Also, an employee Taj made me feel uncomfortable with his invasive and sexist comments and came off as just trying to sell me stuff. I will not be coming here ever again, and I feel obligated NOT to recommend this place.
This place is a scam.
This place is a scam.
I went there for about 2 months last summer, haven't been back since. I just received a phone call from them asking if I wanted to cancel an $80 subscription that had been coming out of my account for the last 9 months. The people were always friendly when i was in there, but they'll rob you blind. I had NO IDEA I was signing up for a subscription, now i'm out about $700 bucks i didn't know was missing. Avoid this business.
Monthly billing, no notification, lose your sessions each month
They bill you monthly without notifying you so you don't realize it for months.
Even if you signed paperwork they didn't say the billing would happen automatically and not tell you.
They don't call or email and say 'hey, we miss you so please come on in since you're paying for it'.
And then you find out the sessions don't carry over so you're paying monthly for nothing.
Then they say you cannot cancel over the phone and have to come in. Very simply, they don't care about you or they would ensure you are aware of billing happening monthly.
Please be aware of their billing.
Please be aware of their billing.. they do not cancel the service without having you pay one more recurring charge. It is a scam their policy and customer service are very bad as well as rushed service.especially the San Leandro location. The guy at the front desk is very rude.
The ole bait and switch.
You are lured into a "contract" for a minimum of three months and the initial visit is via an appointment and lo and behold, there are no other patients when you arrive so you are seen rather quickly but after that first visit it is "no appointment" and just walk in on a "first come first serve" basis and unless your timing is impeccable be prepared to sit for an hour or more until your next up. I do not not have an hour plus to sit and wait. Joining this "gym like" contract is one of my life time mistakes that I wish I would have not made. Live and learn. I do not and cannot recommend this business for chiropractic care unless you have time to sit and wait and waste away
joint in Whittier California wasn't…
The joint in Whittier California wasn't able to help me with the pain level in my hips and leg that i had told them were the problem area. I had even showed them medical records that had showed them what the problem was, and the method that was being used were just making the pain level harder to manage. The moment that I had started going to a different chiropractic clinic that has helped me more than what the joint chiropractic was ever able to do for me. They had said that the type of method used by the joint chiropractic wasn't the correct one to treat the type of issues that I have. The drop table as well as the clicker method that they used had made the pain level absolutely unbearable, and i had told them that they were hurting me and it went in one ear and right out the other ear. When I had started going to a chiropractic clinic, the staff members were far more interested in actually helping me than the Joint.
I wish that the Joint chiropractic was more concerned about their clients and used other methods to help their clients. The Joint chiropractic is more concerned about their bottom line than what is in their clients best interest. I don't recommend them and recommend finding another chiropractic clinic
DR.Karen Joanson
DR.Karen Joanson gave me my 1st and today was the second adjustment for a stiff neck that created a white noise that I heard constantly. Then it was 24-7. No sleep. I knew the chiropractor was the choice this time..get aligned from head to toe. Karen proved me right. 2 adjustments in 2 weeks and the noise is gone. Thank you so much.
PREDATORY: The Joint Chiropractic
The Joint Chiropractic - Mayfair at 4705 W. Foster in Chicago, IL. PREDATORY!!! They have been charging me for MONTHS for a contract I never committed to... no communication whatsoever. I came to this location 12/23/25 for terrible neck pain. Their locations are incredibly hard to get to for me and I informed them I'd try to return only for the neck pain in the immediate future but could not commit to a contract.
As of 7/23/26 I noticed that there was a charge from The Joint, I called in to inquire and was told that I opted out of communication and that is why I have no emailed, mailed, text communications and that they don't send receipts that this is no longer a practice of theirs unless a customer request it. I went in for one time service due to painful neck pain. I never received a single form of communication that I had been committed to a contract, not even a receipt.
This is quintessential predatory practices the only evidence I have of any transaction is the debit on my account. I NEVER signed up for a contract, I informed them several times during my visit that it was extremely challenging getting to the locations. I requested that my funds be refunded, they have refused, I've received no services. Due to no communication I wouldn't even had been able to cancel, This is dark pattern, subscription trap, it's purposely deceptive. I don't even have supporting documents because I was never sent a contract. They've charged me $210 for NO SERVICES.

Regret Working For The Joint
Working for this company for several years, I've watched it morph into every major criticism I've ever heard about chiropractic. They will prescribe a boat load of unnecessary visits so that they can upsell you on a package or a monthly membership, and some groups of clinics will even go so far as to deceive their patients by withholding key billing information that would likely directly influence their decision to buy. They'll call the treatment plans "personalized," but they're virtually copy-pasted between each patient so that they can do exactly what I've described above. And they'll do all of it while telling themselves that it's ultimately in the patients' best interest. The staff can't speak against it without losing their jobs, so the higher ups just keep pushing it further and further. The ethical standards of this company are dropping at a ridiculous rate, and all for the sake of more profit. It's not just unethical in my opinion, it's wrong.
The Springdale Ar locations hurt my…
The Springdale Ar locations hurt my husband so bad he had to go the hospital and have x-rays. Then I told them that I wasn't coming back because my Dr told me only surgery would help my back. They didn't have me the sign the cancellation papers ( no I didn't know I was suppose to, they didn't explain the paperwork and I didn't know most of what it said because the type is so small I couldn't read it,) the next month they charged me another $69.00 for nothing. My attorney wants to file charges but I just want everyone to know DO NOT go there.
They don't care about you! ~ they are thieves!!!
Same as many other reviews. They kept taking $ from my account. I was told multiple times that the owner would call back but never did. Don't go there and sign any papers!!! It will cost you!!!!!!!! Also they go so fast that a person can't relax a bit before they attach one's spine! Just get it over and on to the next person so we make lots of $$! l wouldn't go there if you care about your body and your pocket book ~ they keep taking $$ even if you stop going there. They have hundreds of my dollars with NO intent of caring to give it back.
BEWARE THE SCAMMERS
I signed up in Jan and paid $188. Went a couple of times until I thought the last time they had a cracked rib in Feb. I called in early Feb and cancelled my plan. I hurt so bad I couldn't get there. Turns out I just noticed those crooks charged me $79 a month each month and it is the end of July now! WHAT A BUNCH OF CROOKS!!! I'M CONTACTING THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU SO THE PUBLIC CAN BE MADE AWARE OF THEIR DECEITFUL PRACTICES!!!
Do Not Go Here
I had been going to The Joint Chiropractic for routine treatment for back pain, and unfortunately my experience resulted in what I believe was a preventable injury.
I am 6’8”, so I understand that my height can make certain medical equipment more challenging to use. During one appointment, I was instructed to lie face down on one of their chiropractic drop tables. I trusted that the table and positioning were appropriate for someone my size.
During the adjustment, the chiropractor used the drop mechanism on the upper section of the table while applying significant downward pressure to my upper back/chest area. Because I was not properly aligned on the table, part of my chest remained supported instead of being positioned correctly over the drop section. When the chiropractor applied force and activated the table, I immediately lost all the air from my lungs and gasped in severe, audible pain.
What upset me almost as much as the incident itself was the response afterward. Rather than stopping to fully evaluate what had happened or documenting the event, the chiropractor essentially brushed it off. To my knowledge, no incident report was completed, and there was little concern shown despite my obvious distress.
After the appointment, I experienced chest and rib pain that lasted for months and affected my daily activities. Several nurses I work with at a nursing home believed my symptoms were consistent with a rib sprain, although I understand they were not providing a formal medical diagnosis. Regardless of the exact injury, I know that I was in significant pain for an extended period following this appointment.
I was never offered a refund, compensation, or any meaningful follow-up regarding what occurred.
If you’re a very tall person like I am, I encourage you to be especially cautious with chiropractic drop tables. Make sure you are properly positioned before any adjustment is performed, and don’t hesitate to speak up if the table doesn’t feel like it fits your body correctly. While others may have positive experiences, mine was painful and disappointing, and I hope sharing it helps someone else avoid a similar situation.
Despite speaking with the manager from…
Despite speaking with the manager on 6/16/2026 and her confirming receipt of my cancellation form on 6/15/2026, I was explicitly told that my membership was terminated effective immediately. Yet I was charged again today. This charge must be refunded without delay. If this is not resolved promptly, I will escalate this matter and file a formal dispute with the Maryland Consumer Protection Department.
