Avoid

I would strongly advise avoiding Lowe Guardians. Some of my experiences over about five years with them include:

- Serious leaks left unresolved for months
- A leak affecting two floors that led to a ceiling collapse - a clear safety risk that was met with little urgency by the agency
- Damp and mould not addressed at all (we had fungi growing on the walls)
- One kitchen shared between 22 people
- Rooms with no windows
- Accomodation with asbestos
- Total lack of compassion from staff

Overall, the setup felt highly extractive. The organisation appears focused on maximising income while meeting only the bare minimum safety requirements. In my experience, they are exploitative and provide substandard accommodation at only just below market rents.

We take feedback like this seriously, particularly where concerns have been raised around maintenance, safety, and the way you feel you were supported by our team. I’m disappointed to hear that this was your experience.

While I can’t comment on all of the details raised publicly, I do want to clarify that Lowe does not knowingly place guardians in unsafe accommodation, and some of the points mentioned here do not reflect our housing standards or operating policies.

That said, we recognise that issues can arise in the buildings we manage, and when they do, our responsibility is to respond appropriately and resolve them as quickly as possible. From what you’ve described, it sounds like you feel we fell short of that expectation, and I’m sorry for that.

Being helpful goes a long way.

This company are super-helpful and friendly. Property can be complex, and there will always be little snags, but if you feel that the company is on your side, those don’t matter too much.
The whole experience has been great.

I had a really good experience with…

I had a really good experience with LOWE Management.

Everything was clear and easy from the start, and the team was always helpful when I had questions. The house was in good condition, and the people I lived with were friendly, which made it a nice place to stay.

Communication was smooth, and any issues were handled quickly.

Overall, I enjoyed my time there and would be happy to stay with them again in the future.

The LOWE team was wonderful in how they worked through procedure. It turned out I had made a mistake but Jade and Adam were kind enough to give some leeway and sorted things out with an issue. I found Lowe Group to be very professional and understanding

I found Lowe Group to be very understanding and helpful to my accommodation needs. I had to.move out of my previous accommodation at very short, but Lowe made sure I could move in prior to my deadline date to vacate my previous accommodation. There are three floors in my building and each floor has kitchens, washing machines fridges, etc.
Each guardian is selected after proper background checks and I've already met some very nice new people.
I would thoroughly recommend Lowe Group.

Great experiense

We recently moved out of our flat managed by Lowe Guardians and wanted to share some feedback about our experience.

Our stay in the flat was very positive. The property was comfortable, well maintained, and provided a safe and pleasant place to live during our time there. Whenever anything needed attention, it was handled quickly and efficiently, which we really appreciated.

We would also like to thank the team for their professionalism and support throughout our stay. Communication was always clear, and everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and responsive. The whole process, from the beginning of our stay until moving out, was smooth and well managed.

We are grateful for the time we spent in the property and for the support provided by the Lowe Guardians team. We would happily recommend them to others looking for a reliable and well-managed property guardian company.

My experience with Lowe

My personal experience being a guardian with Lowe was honestly a smooth time. Very professional. The company itself is full of nothing but kind & diverse staff. Very accommodating. Any maintenance issues I had was also solved in a timely manner. So glad I found this guardianship to be honest. If I consider guardianship again in the future, I know I’ll be heading right back here!!

My experience as a new LOWE guardian has been incredible.

I don't usually write reviews but I have been blown away by Lowe - my experience as a new guardian has been incredible.

It was only a month ago that my boyfriend and I decided to become Lowe guardians and the entire process since then has been incredibly easy and straightforward. We went from signing up and submitting references etc to moving into a beautiful, wooden floored, high-ceiling warehouse studio in central London in just over 2 weeks, with hands-on support from Poppy, Isaac, Adam, Harry, Teresa and the Lowe team. Nothing has been a problem and the team has responded quickly to any questions we have had. What's more is that I feel the Lowe team really want to help, going above and beyond to be accomodating - we were allowed to move in a couple of days early, decorate the space as we like and Isaac came round within a couple of hours of an email I sent to answer a couple of questions I had. A far cry from the ways of estate agents.

In all honesty, I can't believe there isn't more talk about guardianships in London's staggeringly overpriced, dead-end and depressing rental market. We also feel very much a part of a new and exciting creative community here - something that I have found lacking here in London.

Thank you so much Lowe team - this is the happiest living situation I've ever had in 14 years of living in London. If you're umm-ing and ahh-ing about becoming a guardian - take this as your sign.

A very positive guardianship experience


I was a guardian at a school in central London and had a very positive experience with Lowe. They were professional and responsive, with maintenance issues dealt with promptly, including same-day repairs to my fire door. Communication was clear and I felt well supported throughout my stay. I plan to return to a Lowe guardianship when I’m back in London.

Great guardianship

Great guardianship, been with them more than 3 years now. Very helpful team. Of course it's not like the private tenancy. But they respond and try to solve any issues/ maintenance. The 2 locations I lived in where decent and well kept. You do feel part of a community, and I met great people. We still keep in touch.
