I clicked on on the add for Lumi from Instagram. I took their clothing quiz and then it asked me.to join for $6.99. I agreed. After paying it asked if I wanted to add other services for an additional charge. I said no. After getting through those prompts it created an appt for me to visit with a stylist. I set my appt and then checked my email. They charge me for all the services I said No to and it will not let me log into my account to cancel. They are not responding to me emails and nowni have to dispute charges with PayPal.

They send influencers and pay for followers to attract rave girls to buy from them, but they drop ship from AliExpress and other cheap companies, and mark up the prices for profit. Their customer service is horrible. I have reached out several times to get my order and I’m being ignored. They deleted my review about a product because it didn’t paint them in a good light. Apparently they’ve been doing this for years, so please do not make the same mistake as I did by purchasing from them. You will just be wasting hundreds of dollars.
Terrible - you've been warned
So reading all the reviews it looks like most people have had the same experience that I did with TheLumiShop. I ordered an outfit for an event with priority shipping. Shipping is supposed to take 5-7 days. The day before the event, they hadn't even created a label to ship it. I emailed them and they said they were "waiting on a part for my outfit". Ok, but they didnt advertise this item as not ready-to-ship. This was COMPLETELY misleading and I would not have ordered from them had I known. I asked them to cancel the order and they refused. They said I could get store credit only. And then they immediately shipped my item after they responded to my email (even though they said they were waiting on a part for my outfit, hmmm) - they didnt honor the "store credit" and shipped the item anyway despite my request to cancel.
When I finally did receive the item they sent the wrong size. I emailed them again to let them know that I would be returning the item and they asked what size it was. No return shipping label, nothing.
Also, I can confirm (like the other reviews before me) that the actual quality of the outfit was terrible.
I ended up with no outfit for my event and this nightmare with their customer support. This is absolutely awful, Ive actually never had an experience like this with any other store.

It says the shipping would take 5-7 days, I ordered on September 18 and it is now October 6. I emailed them after two weeks three separate times before they told me “it was in production and has an estimated 1-2 weeks turnaround” this is false advertising on their website. I didn't even get an answer for how long production would take. This was supposed to be for my Halloween costume which is why I am so frantic about time. I have NEVER written a yelp review but my experience was so horrific I had to share. They have the exact same outfit on Etsy for half the price too.

They sent me the wrong out fit and necklace and when I contacted them they told me “the outfit I order was out of stock so they sent me one that is the same color” and I could ship it back and they would send me the correct outfit in 2-3 weeks (which I already waited 2 weeks for my outfit to be shipped in the first place and they never contacted me telling me it’s out of stock) or give me $20 (which some the necklace they gave me was already $10 cheaper than the one I ordered) it then took them over a week to reply so I opened a dispute and they contacted me saying the would ship me the outfit when I closed the dispute (which you can’t reopen once it’s closed) they then never shipped the item after I closed it. When I left a review explain my experience on the lumi shop website they deleted it TWICE
Mediocre quality, slow shipping
I ordered the gold angel Full outfit on July 3rd, 2023. It shipped July 17th and it was delivered to my door July 24th. I emailed customer service because it was taking so long, they shared they were waiting on ordering the fairy wings and it would ship the following week. They could have reached out to me to inform me of this but they did reply fast! My order was missing an item, which was the hair gem. I emailed customer service that day and they responded very fast. They shipped it out the next day. The quality was mediocre for the price. The top is cute and appears well made. However, the gems are falling off already despite not wearing it yet! The bottoms are cheap and poor quality. The wings are child size and cut into my skin. The necklace is poor quality. The hair gem is literally just adhesive rhinestones, which was misleading. Overall the customer service was good, but the communication could have been better. The quality is not worth the price. This outfit was listed at 169 dollars. I used a code and got 50 dollars off. Do not pay full price for these clothes! You can find better quality peices for that price. I think the tops are probably worth buying, but the accessories and bottoms are nothing special and are overpriced. This company is definitely not a scam but they could improve.

If I could give it a zero I would for being dishonest. Beware of their Instagram shop scam. I thought I was paying $.99 for a quiz which is generally free. Put in my credit card and they took immediately $49 from my credit card for the first appointment that I did not request. Even though I have a PhD, they must think I can’t read because they said I did not read all their terms of service probably about 25 pages before I submitted my credit card. Therefore, no money back policy because you should’ve read all of the terms of service before you signed. Well, I guess a PhD isn’t enough education . I will remember this. I will write all the bad reviews I can figure out how to write about Lumi and I will never use their product. What a scam. They should’ve at least given me my money back since I’m not using anything that I have. Reputable companies do that .

She's been a fan of their style for a long time but hasn't had the money to splurge on it so I went ahead and surprised her on her birthday which was a week before edc 2023. I ordered it a month ahead and received it within the week. She felt and looked absolutely gorgeous and got so many compliments from people so it was really worth it

I filled out a questionnaire on line and paid .99 for a response. I never got what I expected and consequently found out I had unknowingly signed up for a $49.99 monthly subscription! I asked for a refund, but was denied as a “reason” for a refund is NOT “that you did not realize a trial would lead to a subscription”!! So - beware!

The Shein of Ravewear
This company has been scamming people for years and stealing other small designers designs & ideas in the community. They claim all their stuff is “handmade” and “hand stitched” when it’s absolutely not, it’s all coming from a factory in China. They will sell customers items that they are still waiting on to come in from China under the guise that it’s in stock when it’s not. They don’t care they just want the money. That is why some people get their stuff within the stated shipping time and a lot of people end up waiting weeks if not months. It just depends if you order something that’s actually in stock. If you end up buying something that they don’t actually have on hand they’ll either ignore your emails or send you something you didn’t order. Because again, they don’t care it’s just about $$$.
The quality will also be subpar as it’s all from a cheap overseas factory. They are charging handmade prices for Shein quality while also lying about it being handmade which is a scam. They send free stuff to influencers who are popular in the community for promo & buy likes/followers to try to make themselves look legit. All comments about their scamming & stealing get deleted.
On top of that, they have been stealing and copying real actual handmade small artists designs for years. They’ve ripped off artists such as Herpony the Label for their butterfly sequin pattern, Cocofields sequin bodysuit, ShopEasyTigers beaded bodysuit, and their fuzzy robe concept / 3D sets are also ripped off from a small Etsy seller. The owner, Lori, simply screenshots designs she sees from actual legitimate artists and sends those photos to the China factory for them to make a knockoff.
I’ve had several friends and seen countless people get scammed by this company. After all the people they’ve screwed over and how much they’ve negatively affected the community, I’m shocked they’re still in business. Like I said, all they care about is money they could care less about their customers or the community. No integrity whatsoever. They need to be shut down and go away forever.

Complete scam.
After deciding to give it a try, I submitted my credit card info. Since my card went through (and now that it has been charged for a second time), I have never been able to use the service. I have never even been able to successfully login (on my phone or on a computer). I am constantly given a message that I don't have an account when I try to login, or to reset my password. I requested a refund and after several refusals was told:
"Please be advised that in accordance with our money-back policy the “Money-back guarantee” does not apply to the following cases:
Personal reasons (you don’t like the product, it did not meet your expectations, etc.);
Financial reasons (you did not expect that you will be charged, that the trial will be converted into a subscription, that the subscription will automatically renew, or that the services are paid, etc.)."
What about when I pay for a service and never receive it? Complete scam.

Ok, so I made a post couple of weeks ago regarding the order I made on 05/05. I decided to delete my review because for one I was bribed, second I felt genuinely bad.
But seeing ALL of the people who have been scammed by this store is outrageous. I want to talk about my experience. So I placed my order on May 5th for EDC on May 20. I paid for 2-day shipping. My order came out to $130 US dollars. 3 days later I am contacted by the Lumi Shop. Their email said (or at least I understood at the time) that they had run out of material pretty much, and they suggested I pick a similar item. It also said if there are any other styles I like so they can send them today. If not then I would have to wait two weeks. They sent me a link in the email showing suggesting the new Item. Since I already paid for the first item, the second item they suggested was the same price, I immediately assumed they were going to send this one to replace it. I was thinking why would they sell something they don't have any stock for, but I was like eh they're probably really backed up so I let it go. Their email was confusing as grammar wasn't used properly so I replied, "Has the original been sent? I don't mind switching to the new item if it hasn't. And they replied on May 8th, "It hasn't shipped that's why we reached out to you." lol
I then replied: "Ok send me the new one that's ready." and then asked for a new delivery date.
I didn't hear from them, so I wait two days and said, "Hi there, I am following up on the status of my order?"
They then respond: "Did you not read our first email" LOL great customer service.
At that point I had already lost 6 days, waiting for this item. They don't reply, and once they do they get back to you at odd hours, and they're sarcastic lol. I proceeded by asking them to clarify if they wanted me to place a new order or if they were replacing the item (since I had already paid)
In a panic, I decided to place a new order hoping it would get here on time, and at that point, I requested a refund for my first item. Still no response.
They never got back to me until May 11th, after I posted a review here.
Their response to my refund request was: "According to store policy we do not do any sort of calculations" What TF does that even mean lol.
I then replied asking what does that even mean and then demanded my refund.
On May 11th, they responded that they will ship my new order and that they can refund me ONLY if I take down my review. HAHA! Customer service just keeps getting better..
In my position, I am a CUSTOMER. Who has spent over $240, priority mail delivery fee included (2-day shipping) (2 items) who has been waiting for an item for over a week because of miscommunication, sarcasm, bad customer service, lack of inventory, and now bribery! I just can't believe that they would hold someone's money hostage over an honest review.
At this point, you can assume I went OFF.
Eventually after going back and forth for 2 days, and after I made a lot of threats, they refunded me. And said if I delete my review they would offer me $100 gift card. I deleted the review for good karma and I declined the gift card. After all that they finally apologized. They said that they were a small company with 3 people and that they sincerely apologize. Honestly, if they started off like that, to begin with, I would have not been here writing this today.
I genuinely believe they are a small company doing their best. But that shouldn't excuse lack of communication, bribery, bad customer service etc. I don't think the quality of the top was great at all either. It broke apart. I don't know if they are handmaid, but the bra was a thick chenille stem, and rhinestones hot glued I believe. It was cute for pictures, but it wasn't comfortable.
Overall, I'm more disappointed with my experience. Good luck guys, hope everyone gets their money back. I wouldn't suggest buying here, they seem sketchy.

LUMI komt tot inzicht, stort geld terugHalen zomaar €49,99 eraf met smoes dat ze me een uitnodiging hebben gestuurd waar ik gister 17 mei gebruik van heb gemaakt. Ze proberen eerst wegvte komen dat ik het vergeten ben en ik naar mijn account en shop moet gaan waar ze een link meesturen. Niet gedaan want ze kunnen dat registreren. Ze gingen pas het geld terug storten nadat ik hen hetinnerde aan Europese wetgeving over aankopen en dat ze sls buitenlands bedrijf de AVG hebben overtreden. Nu een mail gekregen dat ze binnen 2 weken het geld terug dtorten. Eerst zien dan geloven maar het staat zwart op wit.

SCAM!! Let’s you place orders for items out of stock then offers store credit only
Placed an order, paid for RUSH shipping to get my order in 3 days. When I didn’t get it I messaged them on the 4th day. It took them a week to get back to me only to tell me they were out of stock on the item and the best they would do is offer store credit for the item which would put me out on the shipping up charge and most like in the same position on my next order since you are clearly able to order things that are out of stock. This site is a scam.
After writing this review, the company did send me an email offering me $100 gift certificate if I took my review done but I will not, people need to know not to buy from here.

Misleading. Doesn’t state it’s a subscription service. Leads you to believe you’re paying .99 for a fashion recommendation and then charges you $35. Reached out IMMEDIATELY to say I didn’t want a subscription service but they kept my money. Never received fashion advice, no clothing. NOTHING. I was robbed of $35!!!!
