I wish i had read reviews before i ordered a chair. kept chasing - at first it was we may take the full 10 working days and after that.... ghosted. Not a sausage. Terrible terrible company.

I’m writing this in hopes of getting a clear status update on my order (TOC-12449). I received the Giroflex chair, which is in excellent refurbished condition (5/5 for quality), but the Workstories Solo Electric Desk is still missing.

The system marked the entire order as "sent" on Feb 2nd, but the 10-business-day delivery window has passed and I haven't received tracking or an ETA for the desk. Support on the phone was unable to provide any details.

I would really like to keep the desk and update this to a 5-star review, but I need a confirmed shipping date and tracking number to coordinate the delivery to my flat. Can someone from the management team please look into this?

I got the desk yesterday, assmebeled it , and it's working and in a very good condition!

Truly dreadful service. Ordered chair in early December. 4 weeks later they still don't know when it will be possible to ship it. They kept saying they'd call me back or email me and never did. Now waiting for a refund for over two weeks, they still don't know when it will be possible to return my money! They do not give a hoot about customers. Do not give them your business you will regret it.

I was worried based on the reviews but, my chair was delivered within 10 days. The price was as good as your going to get. I got loads of email updates from the courier and experienced no issues at all. Sorry to read the reviews of those less fortunate but hopefully this is a sign of improvement.

Ordered a chair at the start of January which was very much needed for home office set-up. It’s now approaching end of January and I have no update on where my order is or when it will arrive. I have asked for my order to be cancelled so I can order from elsewhere and I have still not heard back. As a pregnant person who needs a chair to work from home, this is unacceptable. Wish I’d read these trustpilot reviews before ordering!

Do not waste your time ! Yes they are decent priced but the service is awful
They did not deliver ! After 6 weeks I had to ask for money back. After another few weeks I finally got them. Awful company! A total disgrace !

Utter farce of a company. Ordered a chair on the 17th of November, on the 12th of Jan I still haven't had any information from the Office Crowd on where my order is or if they have any intention on ever fulfilling it. I emailed on the 22nd of Dec and received a holding email back saying they were working through a backlog but have had no reply to a second email on the 5th of Jan. I'm not generally into complaining about businesses but when calling and emailing don't elicit any response I don't have many other options.

Ordered a chair. No contact for four weeks.

Emailed to cancel the order. Have been told for EIGHT weeks that a refund will be processed.

This company is horrific

This chair was attempted delivery on 7 November!!! which was 16 days!! NOT the 5 to 10 days which was my utmost limit!!!
I was out of the country overseas on urgent family business (I’ve only just returned) and at that time I instructed my neighbour who was looking out for me, to NOT take delivery of this chair!! Which is what happened.
So - 1) now you’ve taken my Money for a delivery which did NOT happen in time as per your promise, and 2) you have the chair, so you have the chair and my money.
I want a refund ASAP else I will be taking legal action against this company. It's totally disgusting the NON-service you provide to all the many many many 1-star customers, whom you've caused STRESS and TAKEN OUR MONEY!!

The chair I bought took twice as long to turn up as it should have - possibly due to Christmas, and communication wasn't brilliant; but the chair was really good value and well packaged when it arrived.

Ordered a chair 10 weeks ago. Policy is dispatch within 10 days…
No sign of delivery date or even offer of refund/ compensation, like all the other posts here.

**Update** Order delivered today 9th Jan, miraculously with zero confirmation from TOC.
Chair condition is good, minor wear in places but feels largely brand new.
If you have the ability to wait over 2 months then I guess this is the company for you.

Sold a faulty product, told my item just needed some WD40 (after multiple email attempts and weeks of waiting) but all of my recent contact attempts have been ignored. Please avoid.

Same as most reviews. Ordered chair now 6 weeks and still waiting. Sent email requesting refund no reply so started bank dispute!! Avoid. Update..1 star to 3 stars I finally received the product which is good- Very happy with it. I think if they change the promise of delivery timelines and sharpened up the customer service the reviews would be dramatically changed. People are more happy to wait if they are aware.

I purchased an ergonomic chair from The Crowd Office. The buying experience was generally positive: I received professional advice, and when I needed to add some customizations to my order, the staff responded quickly both via chat and email.
The problems began after the chair was delivered. I tried to contact customer service for several weeks without any success. The chair arrived with a slight delay compared to the estimated delivery date (about 21 days later), which is still acceptable. What I find much more frustrating, however, is having asked for clarification regarding a double VAT charge and not receiving any response after several weeks.
I live in Italy, and the invoice I received includes a 22% UK VAT charge. Upon delivery, I was also required to pay an additional 22% Italian VAT. I contacted customer service to request an explanation and to understand how to obtain a refund, but I still have not received any feedback.
Furthermore, I made the purchase as a self-employed professional, yet the invoice was issued without my VAT number, as if the product had been sold to a regular consumer. This prevents me from accounting for the expense in my business records. I requested a corrected invoice multiple times, but once again, none of my messages received a reply.
In conclusion, the product itself meets expectations, but the customer service is essentially nonexistent.

I ordered a Herman Miller Mirra office chair 12 Oct 2025, it finally arrived 24th Dec, about 2 and a half months later. After so long, I genuinely thought I wouldn't get the chair and would be requesting a refund or a raising a dispute with my bank, so it was a relief. The chair is fine, you can tell it's used with the odd minor mark and scuff but within what I expected and overall looks great, plus adjustment levers all work, wheels are used but fine. Also a good price for an expensive chair.

Like others communication with Office Crowd is very slow or non-existent. I chased up the order multiple times and when you do get a reply - which will take at least a week if you do get one at all - they give excuses such as 'we are a small team' and 'we have a backlog' and no real update on your order. This is no excuse for selling products with a promised delivery time of 10 days and leaving customers hanging in the dark. It's a shame because the core idea of refurbishing office furniture is great, their operations however is not.

To be avoided. Never received the chair. Communication dried up. Reclaimed my money through Paypal.

Hi ordered a desk from The Office Crowd, the desk arrived even though I asked for it to be cancelled before it was ever shipped, desk was missing all the fittings so can't be used, I contactes them multiple times try to return the item and I was met with silence, they took my money and run basically, I have now had to raise a dispute through my bank to try and recoup the money, don't disregard these reviews, they are 100% accurate and I would suggest you stay away and order from a reputable company, don't be fooled by the nice website they are scammers, it's worth paying more elsewhere to receive excellent customer services and a higher quality product, I will never use this company again, you have been warned.

The concept of recycling and sustainability is great however the delivery of this service is so so poor, it really lets everything down, and it is just not worth the hassel for the saving. I would not recommend sadly. Avoid the hassle.
You cannot get through to anyone, no one replies to emails. When the do finally respond it is awful excuses such as been on holiday, been so busy; and you still don;t get an update therfore having to wait and keep chasing constantly. There are still customers waiting for their products that they have paid for it is not good enough; you really need to revisit your team and service. Really really poor, unacceptable service.

I think I have been scammed. I ordered a chair 3 weeks ago and have heard nothing. The phone line is never answered. Please give me a refund.

Over a month since I ordered and not received it yet. Only one email response received from the chasers I've sent. Requested a cancellation and refund and heard nothing back.

So let me spell it out for you - GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK IMMEDIATELY OR I'LL REPORT YOU TO TRADING STANDARDS
