I ordered a chair 4 weeks ago which I am now desperate to receive for health reasons. The delivery window given on the website was 5-10 days. I have now waited 4 weeks and although I've had a reply to my email all they can say is that they have a minor backlog and have highlighted my order with their team. I am repeatedly trying to call and there is never an answer, just a generic answerphone which doesn't indicate if it is this company or not!
I have emailed today to say that I require the chair or a refund this week - I will be forced to buy an alternative chair before the end of the week as I cannot wait any longer.
The email reply refers to a slight delay due to a minor backlog. Waiting 4 weeks is not a slight delay and I consider this to be totally unacceptable.
I'm also very concerned about the reviews which say items are not even available or have not been refurbished when they do arrive! I am really kicking myself for ordering without looking at Trustpilot which I usually always do.

Ordered via their website before ever checking reviews and of course I went and read them after, panic ensues.

Anyhow 9 working days after my order I receive the chair and I am impressed, perfect condition, you’d think it was new.

I would order from here again for sure but the one area I do think they can improve on is communication, they were never rude or anything just slow.

Overall though, great purchase, great price, great condition.

I ordered a refurbed RH Logic 400 mid October. The chair itself is grand, I'm very happy with the refurb job they did and everything looks and works like it was barely owned. You could've called this new with minor cosmetic issues and I'd have accepted that!

Everything else was rough. Turnaround was about 3 weeks, so roughly twice as long as their estimate. Only after ringing on the 3rd week was I bumped up to a priority order to recieve the chair that week. My concerns were listened to and I was happy it was resolved and their staff were understanding. I rang up on Monday and recieved it Friday - so I can't complain there, but I dread to think how Long I'd have had to wait if I didn't complain.

The delivery was a mild nightmare as well. I ordered the chair to help me work and relax in comfort as I've been recovering from a back injury these past few months. Firstly, the chair arrived fully assembled - were I given the option, I'd have declined as assembling several smaller pieces would've been easier on my back. Secondly, when the courier arrived (Fedex) the courier asked me for help removing it from his van due to the size of the assembled chair. Despite explaining I had back problems, he insisted so I had to risk injuring my back getting this chair through my front door where it was left tipped over. Whilst this might not be The Office Crowd's fault, shipping the chair disassembled would've mitigated this issue and given the courier an easier time.

The packaging was basically falling apart as it got delivered with the top held down by a single layer of painters tape. The chair was not secured at all within the box, no foam or packing materials. I felt lucky it wasn't damaged in transit.

I cannot recommend The Office Crowd to anyone with my concerns. Their refurb services and prices are great, but the logistics side of things just aren't there.

If you can afford to be flexible with the lead times potentially increasing, and can manage delivery of a fully assembled chair, then their prices are worth it. Just be aware of the risk in ordering

My experience is exactly the same as other customers, down to the email from Lucy with the 'minor backlog'. Its been over three weeks, and no sign of my chair. At £239, this is non-trivial. I'm cancelling the order and getting my money back

Ordered an "In-Stock" chair on 18/9/2025. Advertised a 10-day delivery. After 2 weeks, hearing nothing, and sent an email asking for updates. Then got a reply email emphasizing the "10 working days" policy.
So I wait for 2 more days and ask again. Then got a reply on 8/10/2025 stating that they have a minor backlog and promise they will send my order soon.
I sent them an email again to ask for the exact date of delivery. This time, on 10/10/2025, they said they don't have the parts for my order and asked if I would like to change to a different brand (a cheaper one). So what is the point of ordering the "in-stock" models? And if you don't have the parts, you can tell me in early October.
At this point, I consider this a dishonest company. They just try to keep your money as long as possible without the determination to fulfill the order.
Then I asked for the cancellation and refund. As you can imagine, they put up all these refund policies again, and it takes forever for this company to execute the refund.
Finally, on 23/10/2025, I had my refund with the Bank's intervention.
My advice to you is "Don't buy from this company."

I ordered and paid for a chair on 28th August and, although Office Crowd stated 5-10 working days for delivery, I am still waiting. I received a response from my first follow-up e-mail in September saying they were working through a minor backlog and Lucy would "highlight" my order. Since then no responses to my subsequent e-mails or calls. I really wouldn't use this company again.

Returned an order of chair arms on the 9th of October and they were delivered on the 10th of October. Order number TOC-10654. I was told a refund would be issued within 3 to 5 working days. It is now the 31st of October and I have still not reccived a refund and I am getting no responses to my emails, the chat is just ignored and when I try to call, I just get a mesage saying that the person is not available. I wish I had read the reviews on here before ordering, absolute cowboys!!!

I ordered a chair, it said 5-10 days delivery it arrived in 7, i had been worried after checking the reviews and was hoping that i would be get to be one of the people able to give 5 stars, yay! Chair is supposed to be refurbished but it honestly looks brand new, was even in box! very pleased with chair and delivery time!

extremely disappointed ordered a chair, requested cancellation iv been told by Lucy AI the refund will be processed within 10 days i have waited 10 days sent multiple emails and spoke on the chat but no one responds, you call their telephone number and again no one answers. my order number is Order TOC-10823 if this is not resolved by Wednesday 29th i will be contacting the local courts, under Consumer Rights Act (UK)

I placed my order on September 18, and despite repeated requests for updates, I still haven’t received my chair.
On October 16, I was told there was a “minor backlog” and that my order had been “highlighted to the team.”
Since then, no delivery, no tracking information, and no clear date.

It is unacceptable for a company to sell a product, take payment, and then leave the customer in uncertainty for weeks without providing any concrete information.

I’m posting this review while waiting for a serious response and actual delivery.
I will update it only after receiving the chair and evaluating the quality of the product.

For now, a very negative experience.

I think this site is a scam. Do not order from them. I have waited for more than one month and my chair has not arrived yet. I’m resigned to a loss on this transaction but at least I hope to warn other potential customers.

I asked for a refund which “Lucy” confirmed it was passed to the manager for processing. So far no chair and no refund. I will update if any positive development.

Ross Dutton was quick to acknowledge the review and request details of the issues giving as in other reviews from this company the impression of caring. Alas again the wall of silence not even the courtesy of a reply. If the Managing Director does not care what hope is there.

Wish I'd read the reviews before ordering from this absolute shower of a company. Numerous delays that lasted for two months. When the chair finally arrived, the package was so damaged that half of the chair had fallen out in transit, and the rest was broken. Refused the package, applied for a refund and not heard anything. The whole saga has carried on for 4 months still with no resolution.

Ordered 2 refurbished desks on the 16th September, was told 5-10 business days for delivery. Finally arrived 15th October. No comms forthcoming from the company but they did reply to emails that I sent.

Can't see how they are refurbished. They were dirty but nothing a quick clean didn't remove, some small scratches and marks on the legs/frames and a couple of very small marks on the tops. However they were a good price and worth what I paid.

It has been 5 weeks and I have not received my chair, I have emailed 3 times with only a response once (to say they couldn't say when the chair will be delivered). I will not be using this company again, and will also tell no-one to use them either. I will be reaching out for a refund.

UPDATE
After posting this review, I emailed the customer service who said that my original chair wasn't available and offered a different (more expensive) chair. It was delivered 2 days later. I still wouldn't recommend this service given the large delays and little communication, but adding one star for the final result which is a good sturdy chair.

Took forever to receive my order, they only reply to every 10th email. The upholstery is so thin that you can feel every screw when you're sitting on the office chair. I complained but again no reaction on my 7 emails so far.

I bought a chair from this company, trusting their website's promises of a "total satisfaction commitment." Unfortunately, the reality has been completely different.

My chair arrived broken, and ever since I reported the issue, customer service has been nonexistent. I sent multiple photos of the damage and have tried to contact them repeatedly for a solution, but the only response I've received, after several weeks, is a vague "we're a small team and we're looking for a solution." The days keep passing, and I still haven't heard anything. No one has taken responsibility or offered me a concrete solution.

If you're thinking of buying from here, I urge you to seriously reconsider. It's not worth the risk.

I have waited nearly 2 months for a chair that would reportedly be sent within 5-10 days at the point or ordering. I checked using the web chat and they confirmed that timeline. I received an email saying the order would be late but they have been unable to tell me how long the wait will be.

The customer service is very polite, but replies are patchy and slow once you have paid up. After finally requesting a refund, it has been a further week with two chasing emails and they still have not confirmed that the order is cancelled and refund is underway. I guess I’ll be contacting my credit card company.

From the other reviews I expected my chair to take about a month to arrive but this wait was far too long, and struggling to get a refund has made this a very poor experience. I do not recommend at all.

I’ll start with the only positive aspect of this experience: the package arrived on time.
Unfortunately, the problems are many.

The box was severely damaged upon delivery, with multiple dents and even a hole at the bottom, which allowed one of the wheels to fall out. The chair was packed in a very careless and sloppy way, protected only by a thin sheet of plastic, which was absolutely inadequate. Unsurprisingly, the wheel that came out is scratched all over.

The chair itself looks second-hand and shipped without any proper maintenance. The wheels barely roll, they move slowly, with resistance, and make unpleasant noises because they were never lubricated. The same goes for the backrest mechanism, which is jerky and noisy. Even worse, some of the rotation joints are clogged with dust, dirt, and even HAIR!

This is completely unacceptable for a product sold as refurbished.

UPDATE - 2 weeks later
A week ago, the chair seatpad started noticeably lifting from the sponge underneath. I sent them a message explaining all the issues, but after a first answer that requested some pictures from me, I have been waiting for a message after I sent my pictures for a week now

We ordered 4 RH400 chairs from The Office Crowd, which were advertised as coming with headrests. All of them arrived without the headrests.

The Office Crowd promised to send the missing parts three weeks ago, but nothing has arrived and they’ve since stopped responding to our emails.

Very poor service and communication – we will be reconsidering any future orders with them. Very disappointing experience. Will be taking the matter up with trading standards.

UPDATE: Still no resolution, no response to emails and no missing items sent. This is being passed over to the bank and legal department for further proceedings
