The free video sounds great (or you can google "what makes a great speaker" and get the same result.) Then they offer a on-one-one session for payment. You pay them - and they totally disappear. It is a SCAM. They clearly offer a service that they then fail to provide. My opinion is avoid them. Note* after posting here - suddenly they reached out to us but it was just to give us a hard sell again. No mention of bootcamp or that the account was still active, as they have stated in their response. Update. They did refund.

The Speaker Lab is a phenomenal program...I love the way that the resources are there, and then the coaches were very helpful in helping guide me through things I need to tweak and change. A lot of times, I think a lot of individuals are in their own head. They can’t see past what they already know. Getting some real insight on what you’re doing well and what you may need to tweak in order to do better was one of the benefits I got through my time working with The Speaker Lab...To this day, I go back to the modules. I go back and do refreshers and as my business is evolving...That’s one of the beauties of the way that this content was created and administered - to allow you at multiple levels of your speaking journey, to be able to get the most out of it.

I had a highly disappointing experience with The Speaker Lab due to deceptive sales practices and misleading information. Their sales representative, D, assured me that the program offered a "money-back guarantee," which he explicitly equated to a full refund if I could no longer participate. This assurance was a key factor in my decision to enroll. However, when I requested a refund after being unable to continue, the company refused to honor this guarantee, claiming it was not the same as a refund policy.

This bait-and-switch tactic is unacceptable and demonstrates a lack of integrity. Additionally, attempts to resolve the issue were met with unhelpful responses, further eroding trust in their customer service.

If you're considering The Speaker Lab, be cautious. Their sales tactics can be misleading, and their promises may not hold up when it matters most. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

I think there are a lot of great organizations out there that help people build their communication skills, be able to present well and practice the art of speaking in front of audiences. Where I think The Speaker lab is different and a great resource would be for people who want to build a speaking business because The Speaker Lab teaches you all of those concepts that I mentioned earlier, but in addition to that, gives you the very practical steps to find the right people to contact, how to send out those emails, how to make those phone calls, what to say in a gig to have that one gig turn into two and exponentially grow from that, how to price your product – All of the things that you need to build a business as a speaker and make a living doing that.

"I had Eric Rheam as my VIP Facilitator and I met with a bunch of your other great coaches, too...I learned a lot; I learned what my niche was and what I really needed to focus on. From there, I learned how to tweak my speaking skills and how to take those speaking skills and also make it a business. I learned a lot of business tools and strategies. Step by step, you had all the things that I needed, and you did it in such a profound way that it was easy to absorb, and it really was inspiring. The SPEAK Framework helped me get clear as to my messaging. Also what was really helpful, and something I loved about the SPEAK Framework and the program, was really understanding the tools I need to be a visible professional speaker, including getting help building my website and speaker reel. Getting help from The Speaker Lab to build those tools were really helpful to me...I’ve seen myself becoming much more confident...Whenever I’ve had a question about something or if I felt discouraged and needed some support, I post in the community, and there would be people responding and giving me support and encouragement.

I've done two events so far, and they’ve just been amazing, and the feedback has been great. I owe it to The Speaker Lab. It was getting the confirmation that was so helpful; It helped everything moving forward...The Speaker Lab provides every tool. It’s not just how to be a speaker; it’s the business aspects of it. The tracking mechanisms, the opportunities, the profiles, the platforms. Everything is inclusive, and that’s what I love about it. With The Speaker Lab, you get everything!

The Speaker Lab is a great value and helped me get my speaking business off the ground! I walked in with a script that I didn't love and left with a great theme, title, script, website and promo video. I'd highly recommend The Speaker Lab to anyone with a great story who is looking to build a speaking career!

Anybody who has the feeling that they have something to say, this course and this program really helps you hone in all the details – not just from the content side of things, but from the business side of things...I made my money back within the first quarter of one year of scheduling gigs...Anybody who has the desire and drive to share a message, it’s very worth it.

If I had had the resources that The Speaker Lab has given me and didn’t have to find and test it all on my own, I would’ve saved an enormous amount of time and stress launching my speaking business. I’ve been a professional speaker for the past eight years, and The Speaker Lab has taught me how to re-invent my processes, saving both time and money. Trust me when I say there are different ways of succeeding in this space. The Speaker Lab brings all the options to the table, so you can pick and choose what’s right for you. They also share best practices, so you can leverage short cuts and fast-track your success in this space.

The coaches were very responsive. They helped me when I got stuck. The coaches are all working in the speaking business and are very successful, so it's not theoretical. They share what is working for them, and so I'm sure it will work for others

Firstly, shout out to my coach, Katherine Johnson, for as always great coaching call - she also reminded me to dm her if I needed help/advice between calls. Call was informative and motivating as always.
Secondly, excellent resources - can’t find fault with the resources as I move through the course. Excellent takeaways - wish I’d had access to this when I started my first business 20 years ago! But it’s never too late and going to put into practice in my continuing speaking journey. Just completed The Vault and Pipeline course - excellent thanks to Erick Rheam very informative, pace excellent and recap

Really focused on building a speaking business for you - not to teach you how to speak in front of people (although they do hold you by the hand and assist you as possible in that regard). The coaches are diligent and provide tangible, actionable advice - which is RARE in today's digital world. Along the TSL journey, there were many challenges and needed changes to the structure and content of the business artifacts. TSL support team (including Student Success Leader, Technical Support, Website Designers etc) were very supportive and patient. I've been working with service providers on the web for the last 25 years and TSL stands among the top 3 in content, business support and promise delivery. It's been a pleasure and I hope to keep evolving under their guidance. I highly recommend TSL to anyone willing to do the work and build their speaking business!

About the support that I have received -- once I got involved, I loved all of your emails, and all the support because that told me I’m not alone – I’m not doing this by myself every step of the way. Plus the coaching calls and everything else, I felt so supported. If you want to jump in, you have so much support and so many different facets where you can ask other students about certain things, you have the concierge, you have the coaches, you have all of this available to you just about any time that you want it.

Terrible business ethic. They tell you how great they are and make up numbers of thousands of dollars you can make. The option is pay us to tell you how great we are.

Terribly unreputable company! They engage in aggressive sales techniques, their rep Charles Forest is a skilled liar who will say anything to make the sale. I am still waiting for my $12,000 refund, even though I cancelled right after the initial call when I realized that they are liying about a 12 month payment option and instead charged the full amount! I cancelled 2 hours after making the cc charge, I never listened to or attended a single thing from this company and still they are not refunding the payment. They stop communicating, don’t answer the texts, emails or calls.
This is a major scam, run, don’t even consider working with these people. SCAM!
Their phone number has a pre-recorded message that just says Hello and then shuts off! Crazy!

Discovering The Speaker Lab (TSL) was thrilling – finally, a company that shares my values for these two essential concepts. I've been consistently impressed by their well-structured systems and the incredible team dedicated to providing us with outstanding support. The coaches and support teams are genuinely invested in our growth and development. Their expertise is remarkable, but it's their kindness that makes the experience truly special.
