The Squirrel Opiniones 

I tried The Squirrel and it felt like a cozy, laid-back place where the food was warm and comforting, perfect for a relaxed meal. The flavors were decent and satisfying, though nothing really felt standout or memorable.

My daughter & I came to Heaven's Kitchen inside The Squirrel, Godalming, for my Birthday lunch today.
We were made to feel very welcome & the restaurant was warm & comfortable.
The lunch menu was full of home cooked delights. With a wide range from light bites to slow cooked roasts.
No pre-packaged food here! We will be back soon

A delightful Inn with the rooms in small detached cottages that have been converted into ground floor and first floor rooms, small but with ensuite, clean and well equipped rooms. A very helpful manager, who changed my room as my dog couldn't do the stairs, they are steep and have no carpet, so slippery. I had steak which was perfect for me, my only comment is they put on a Discretionary Service 12.5%, but don't tell you, so be aware. But all in all, a very nice stay.

Went for the special Father’s Day Sunday Lunch. Booked a table for 2 pm. Meal arrived at 3pm. Ordered 30 day aged prime slices of sirloin roast beef. Was served overcooked slices of elasticated beef strips cooked on a griddle. Inedible. Vegetables were undercooked and warm. People nearby walked out after waiting over an hour for their food. The place was very busy but the manager did not warn us about the time delays or that a chef and waiter had both phoned in sick. He should have modified the menu.
The only saving grace was that we were not charged £50 for an inedible meal.

We had a lovely, reasonable priced meal today at The Squirrel, Hurtmore, near Godalming. The staff were very friendly and we really enjoyed ourselves, sitting comfortably outside. Plenty of options for sun or shade. The pub has been beautifully refreshed and refurbished since our last visit, which was before the new, present owners. Based on today’s experience, we will return.

A welcome feeling before we even got there, as I phoned to ask if we could park for a walk before lunch - no problem at all. After that, everything ticked the boxes - nice sandwiches served by a cheery lady; no routine, "is everything OK?"; and the salad that came instead of chips, was a proper mixed salad. Definitely going back there. Thanks for a very pleasant lunch!
