Been with this vet since we got my dog (7 years). When it's about routine things, it's fine. The admin staff and the nurses are lovely, the vets are a bit of a mixed bunch. Now it's worse than it has... Ver más

I’m absolutely disgusted by how The Vet…
I’m absolutely disgusted by how The Vet handles loyal customers.
I’ve been their customer for 4 years since moving to the UK.
I set up a healthcare plan last year for my dog to benefit the free consultation and treatments they offer within their policy. In the beginning of this year they changed their policy, they offer only one free health check up now and only 10% off of dental treatments compared to the previous 2 annual free check ups and 30% off of dental treatment. And they implemented and extra mandatory health check up to get the worm and flee treatment so since I saw I barely benefit anything from the health plan I cancelled it. Very easy, straight forward, they told me on the phone it okay, you can cancel. Only a week later I received a letter that I owe them £66.16 . Apparently I couldn’t cancel the health care plan before the 1 year period which I wasn’t made aware of. I never received any information regarding the terms and conditions, they have not made me aware of the cancellations policy. When I asked about the policy they sent me a leaflet, where instead of highlighting the policy they covered it. After being 1 week late for the payment- which I intended to pay in the first place- they forwarded the claim to a debt collector company !!!!! After being 1 week late from the original deadline !!!!! I ended up paying 156.16 instead of £66.16 .
Expensive lesson, know your terms and conditions folks because even your local vet will try to scam you. They apparently can change the terms and conditions as they wish, and after actually making me pay for the extra 4 months left from the year, they told me they won’t provide their services for my dog. I can only assume that they don’t understand legal terms and conditions. They should provide their treatment for the rest of the period as they made me pay for the rest of the 12 month of the policy. This is the leaflet they sent me with the “highlighted policy. Absolute scammers.
Do not sign your vet up these here
Do not sign your vet up these here. Worst mistake of my life.
All they care about is money. They charge over £20 per item on a prescription if you want to get your prescription written out. This is after you pay high cost of your pet been seen. Also it is always a really long wait, often more than a week.
They also prescription the wrong dose for my cat. It was because of this I wanted to get a written prescription so it could be dispensed by a professional as The Vet are in no way professional. This can also be seen by the very high rates of staff turn over.
Please never sign up to these vets.
This review pertains to the Vet we know…
This review pertains to the Vet we know as Lutz. We lost our baby on Friday last week at the Waltham Forest branch. It was painful enough watching him suffer. Having to make the decision to end his suffering felt worse than if my own life were ending. Thankfully Lutz did not place any pressure on us and gave us the time we needed to process the grief that was already starting to to form a tight knot inside. Thanks Lutz.
The Liverpool branch
The Liverpool branch are Very unscrupulous vets, I have twice had to query charges by this Vet the first time was when they tried to charge me £38.00 to weigh my dog, i refused to pay and they rightly waive the charge. The second time we got our dog castrated, paid the bill on the day ( standard procedure at most Vets ) then months later received a letter stating there was an outstanding balance of £79.00. I phoned them and spoke to a manager who assured me it was their mistake and the charge would be wiped . Fast forward 5-6 months and another letter arrived stating that £79.00 was still owed, phoned them again and explained the charge was supposed to have been wiped, I was then informed the manager I had spoken to has now left ( very convenient ) and the bill would have to be paid as my partner had signed a consent form with the price on. My partner is adamant the price was added after she signed the form. Nobody could explain to me why we hadn’t been charged the correct amount on the day of the procedure. I was willing to fight this charge all the way to Court , but having received another letter threatening a debt collection company would be taking over the case my partner reluctantly paid the amount allegedly owed.
Stay well clear of this Vets we would never use them again.
DREADFUL!!!
Do not go to this Vet! Not alone did they give me an incorrect dosage of antibiotics for my cat the Vet made his mouth bleed by pulling too hard! A shocking place. When I complained and asked gor a gesture of goodwill they asked me to sign a disclaimer and £30!!! The Ceo, Mel Fuller is cold, unprofessional and people should know that they are not professional. Finally, Hannah on reception is just a cocky individual who cares more about being right than the pets welfare!! Just dreadful!! Keep your pets safe and don't go anywhere near it!!
If I could give a zero star review I…
If I could give a zero star review I would. Avoid this practice at all costs! I cannot believe Blue Cross would refer anybody to this shameful practice!
I took my 17 year old dog Frankie on Friday, for what I thought was going to be a routine check up on his teeth. However, it turned out he had a tumour at the back of his throat, and the vet recommended putting him to sleep. Fair enough! However, the way in which he was euthanised was absolutely barbaric! The vet put a rope around his left leg first, injected him, tied the rope around his right leg, then said he was going to sedate him!!!
I’ve had dogs put to sleep previously, and the first step was sedation before the injection, no rope present!!!
What was the point of injecting him and then sedating him!!! Blood squirted everywhere!!! The final moments of his life he was scared and in pain.
Absolutely abhorrent! This practice needs shutting down.
Too expensive and lack of empathy
Not happy with the way my nervous dog was treated.
He’s frightened in the vets and we muzzle him.
They needed to check an ear infection he had and told us to bring him in for sedation to do the exam and treatment.
My husband took him in, and after 4 members of staff, both vets and nurses, tried but failed to inject him, my husband told them that they were making our poor dog more distressed and he walked out.
They wanted over £500 for this, of which my husband had to pay half, upfront.
He was so angry when he brought our Kev home, who was so frightened by his experience.
We telephoned the vets and asked for our deposit back, as we would not be using them again!
We now go the a vets in Appleton. They did the procedure by simply placing a blanket over kevs head, gave him a sedative and when he became sleepy, they examined and treated, all at a cost of £200!!!
BIG price difference and a much calmer experience for our dog.
We would not recommend this vets at all.
Money grabbers, with little respect for our nervous pet!
Ripped off
Today I bought 2 tins of wet food (hills dietary) 360 grams they cost £10.21, they were recommended by the vet that’s why I bought them. When back home I bought 12 tins of the same on the web for£28.39 . What a mark up and what a ripoff. Be warned.
AVOID!!
AVOID!!! "The Vet" 145 Morden road, Mitcham!
Absolutely disgusting. My Dog was locked in a kennel all day after having a very large chunk taken out of her back to have her cancer tumours removed. To my HORROR and DISGUST she was returned to me at the end of the day, NOT fed and covered in her own POO, with just a plaster covering her open weeping wound - which was hanging off. My pet has not ben the same since. She is very nervous, scared and traumatised. The vet refused to return my call. I had to spend additional time and money to find a suitable dressing. I had to drive back to the vet to try and get the vet to speak to me as he refused to call back. He finally came out, the vets name is "IMRE", his response was basically "the vets has run out of food, we don't dress the wounds" shrugging his shoulders and rolling his eyes!
My dog appears to be unwell so I am worried about infection and her general state. I have now gone to a new vet. No break down of costing, I have no idea what I have been charged for but I do know nearly £2000 later I have a very distressed pet. I can only hope she is cancer free, and will get over her ill treatment from "The vet"
GREENWOOD AND BROWN VETS
GREENWOOD AND BROWN VETS, CASTLEFORD. Took my little dog in for spaying. She's a very anxious dog and prior to attending i requested her to be given something to calm or sedate her before we left. I was told by Pontefract vets that there shouldn't be a problem and let them know when i take her to Castleford.
When we arrived at the vets, i never saw the actual vet but just the nurse. She would not give my dog anything to help her feel less stressed when we left. This made me feel very uncomfortable leaving her as i know my dog best.
After the procedure we went to pick her up. She was soaking wet from tipping over water bowl and nobody had even attempted to dry her. She still had tape on where the catheter had been. They informed me she hadn't urinated and i thought that would be a priority before leaving to make sure she could urinate before sending her home. I requested some pain killer and was refused, the vet so rude to not even tell me why. I asked the nurse what was taken during the procedure and she could only tell me that her ovaries were removed and not sure what else Complete armatures!
My poor little Millie suffered for 2 days until i got back to the vets (we live about an hour away) and only then were pain killers given. WHY THE HELL LEAVE A DOG TO SUFFER, is totally beyond me. I paid extra for keyhole thinking my little dog would be looked after better, cared for. She received nothing but pain and trauma. Please think of going to somewhere else if you have an anxious pet and you want them looking after properly. Since then I've spoken to a different vet who also does keyhole surgery and they only do one operation per day and send the pet home with painkiller... if i only knew before trusting this vet. The other vet i rang also puts them to sleep whilst you are there so there's less stress for both the owner and the pet.
Absolutely heart-breaking, my little dog has had nights crying after this experience. Never will i ever recommend or use this vet again!
Excellent services by Emma the Vet
Excellent services by Emma the Vet, very caring and easy to talk to.
I CAN'T RECOMMEND BECAUSE..
The Vet, Southampton. 4 years ago I paid £10/month for insurance to cover flea treatment, vaccination and 2 vet consultations.. the next year it went up to £12.50 then last year and this year up again, and the vet consultations were removed!!
But, the reason for only 2 stars is that I took my beloved cat in yesterday as an emergency because she woke up really poorly and crying. After a few tests I was told they can do nothing for her and I was taken to a room to wait for them to prepare the injection. I only just sat down and was in total shock and crying when the door opened and in walked someone with a cash machine asking me to pay for my visit. I was TOTALLY SHOCKED. I had rushed out without my wallet. Thankfully I had my bank app on my phone so could pay them as requested. I've never encountered such a lack of empathy.... Usually payment is requested after the event. Someone at H.O. needs to think again about this unfeeling, money grabbing, practise. I can never recommend any of my friends to come here , which is a shame because the vets are really lovely.
All vets only care for money
All vets only care for money, I was charged £44 for 10min with a young vet 5mins out of school, then she wanted £512 to take two teeth out, they discust me
This has to change they have to stop these greedy little people and stop them ripping them off 😒

The vet Portsmouth..... AMAZING
Everytime we visit, we are always welcomed with a smile and bear always with alot of attention. The staff are so caring and kind. My bear had to have xrays and i was so worried but the staff went above and beyond to reassure me. I had updates all throughout the day and when we came to collect him we were met with praise from the staff on how well behaved he is and how lovely and cuddly he is. I wouldn't go anywhere else and wouldn't trust any other place with my boy. They treat him and me like family and care for him like he's one of theirs.
Caring Compassionate and Honest
Took our Yorkshire Terrier to the Vets Liverpool because he became very poorly, we went there because our regular vet had moved practices to there. Johann is our vet and he was as always, so compassionate and caring to our dog and us, we cant thank him enough for what he's doing for him .we thoroughly recommend him .we are also impressed with the reception staff who are also very caring polite and so helpful
Always had a great service and the best…
Always had a great service and the best care for our dog.
Compassionate and amazing service
Unfortunately this morning we found my sister’s cat Mickey deceased under a bush.
I called ‘The Vet’ in Southampton, the lady on the phone was very compassionate and helpful, informed us to register online so they had his details & to bring him in whenever.
On arrival another lady at Reception was very helpful & took us into a side room to wait for the nurse so we had privacy.
The nurse, who again was so lovely and compassionate, gave us our options for cremation & it was much more reasonably priced than any of the other vets we had enquired around. Other vets just did not answer the phone.
The nurse was very patient, informed us of our choices, we didn't feel rushed to make a decision despite springing upon them.
Overall the best experience i’ve encountered and my sister now feels relieved she’s been able to find somewhere in order to eventually lay him to rest, whilst still not putting her out of pocket.
Would highly highly recommend!!
Such shocking treatment
On Saturday , my cat was brought in, and my son was given a quote of £490 for X-rays , and treatment , and when he offered to pay the amount in whole , he was informed by whoever was on the front desk , that he should pay only half then …
When my cat was examined, I received a phone call , from the vet, KAJANI PAHEERATHAN, that the treatment of X-rays etc , was now more than £600 and my cat would need surgery at a cost of £3000 etc, I explained to her on Saturday morning that I could not afford this amount in one go , and this vets do not do any type of pay in instalments schemes .
The vet, offered no alternative suggestions or advice , regarding for example diet , or my cat getting sunshine etc so he could also heal naturally. It was although she had selected hearing when I explained that I could NOT afford £3000 in one sum, and No this vets does not want what’s best for my cat.
Later on that day , I once again received a phone call from KAJANI PAHEERATHAN , explaining once again “we want what’s best for your cat” No you don’t , as I already explained I couldn’t afford £3000 to pay for surgery..and no alternative once again was offered except you will have to look for charities…ok
On Saturday when my cat was brought home , the dressing that KAJANI PAHEERATHAN had placed on my cats leg, had come off, and it was to late to bring my cat back, and I had loss all confidence in this vet,
On Tuesday a lovely lady called Hannah, from The Vet phoned and gave me some names of charities , when once again I explained that unless there was something in place to pay by instalments I’d be unable to continue treatment with my cat at The Vet , she at least sounded sympathetic.
So since Tuesday I’ve been doing my absolute best to find a cat charity to carry on treating my cat, so imagine my shock when today I received an unpleasant email from KAJANI PAHEERATHAN wanting details of where my cat is now being treated , otherwise I’m going to be reported etc
I have been treated in an appalling way by this Vet, it’s not every body there but it’s by the aforementioned vet. If this vet is really so concerned about my cats welfare , then carry on treating my cat and let me pay in installments , don’t not treat my cat , especially when I’ve been honest and state I CANNOT AFFORD more than £3000 in one go, and then send me an email 4 days later , when I’ve done my absolute best to find an alternative place to deal with my cat
My dog Gracie had cancer of her ear Vet…
