As always we enjoyed our stay at Woodlands Cottages, Tracy and Dave have made most enjoyable additions to the visit, with the introduction of Alpacas and other new animals.
They helped us enormously following our vehicle malfunction by allowing us to stay for an extra two days.
Without their selfless help we would have been without accommodation. We look forward to our 2027 visit.

From arrival to departure our stay in the Pied Wagtail Cottage was a real pleasure. We were welcomed and shown around by Dave and met Tracy soon after when we had a wander around the grounds to see the animals she was tending to, they were both very friendly and professional with us. The cottage has everything that you could possibly need, was spotless and smelt beautiful, bedding and towels again spotless and good quality and the beds very comfortable. The dedicated parking space right next to the ramp up to the front door ramp is a real bonus for anyone with mobility problems. We found the cottage well placed for trips out to Louth, Woodhall Spa and Cleethorpes …… it was a great feeling to get back ‘home’ after our outings and to be cosy and comfortable. We ordered some groceries from Morrisons which were delivered about half an hour after our arrival and made our stay even easier with not having to pack and carry provisions, the fridge with freezer box proved very useful for these items. Our dog really enjoyed the secure paddock, especially as he was able to make friends with the animals that are in the surrounding fields. In all a very successful break away, one we would recommend and hopefully repeat in the future.

We’ve just had a lovely stay and really didn’t want to leave! The cottage was lovely, very peaceful and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. It’s in a great location too.

We took our little dog with us and it was lovely to find somewhere so dog friendly. He absolutely loved meeting the little pony! I also loved having all the animals around the site – it made the whole place feel really homely. Especially Kevin the cat.

The hosts are lovely, friendly and welcoming, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place to get away from it all, and we’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed from 14-19 Sept. 2026 and if I could give 10 stars I would. The whole experience was faultless. Dave and Tracy are wonderful people. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Dogs are really welcome and my Cocker Spaniel had a whale of a time in the dog paddock. The joy on his face when I let him off lead was magic. The cottages are lovely and comfortable and quite spacious, like home from home. We are so impressed that we have already booked another two weeks in June and August next year. Can't see us going anywhere else now.
To see the Alpacas, Rheas, goats, sheep, and horses was also heaven for me. I got to feed some of the Alpacas with Tracy and visited the Rheas in their pen. Can't wait until next June when they will be old enough to be outside with the Alpacas. An animal lovers paradise! Spike the cockerel seems to have dementia as he tends to crow most of the day. If you love the sounds and smells of the countryside then you will love The Woodlands. I'd like to personally thank Dave and Tracy for their efforts in making The Woodlands such a relaxed, wonderful all-round experience. They have only been there a year and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it will have evolved when we go back next year. You must try and visit Louth. A lovely town with boutique type shops and a visit to The Cheese Shop is a must - a cheese-lovers heaven.
Looking forward to next June already.

The pied wagtail cottage was stunning, clean and welcoming. Tracy and Dave are very welcoming and would recommend their cottages.

Very clean and comfortable, secure garden for the dogs and the added bonus of a secure dog field which made the holiday as my partner isn’t able to walk far due to major heart surgery. The alpacas were hilarious and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the linen was impeccable. Dave the owner was ace, great guy and at hand should you need any help. He made some great pub recommendations… The greyhound in Louth (5 minute drive) and the Splash (beautiful place but Dave will explain why it’s nicknamed that). Wish we had more time at this holiday destination as I would have love to have met Tracey (Dave’s partner). These two folk have worked very hard to accomplish what they have, not pompous in anyway… pure great people and a lovely ☺️ place to stay. Treats for humans and poochies on arrival 🙏 Toiletries provided and nice white fluffy towels 🥰 Just want to say a massive thanks to you Dave and once again for our Frenchies -Blossom & Skys behaviour… they say it’s the owners and they’re probably right! 🤦‍♀️ Also apologies to our neighbours either side for our girls behaviour towards your own poochies… they’re soo naughty! Visit this place is a must (if we aren’t there with Blossom & Sky!) x

We've just returned home after 9 days spent relaxing at Woodlands cottages.
Dave and Tracy have been extremely welcoming and very hospitable.
During our stay we had the pleasure of meeting the Alpacas which was something memorable. Our standard puddles enjoyed the local walks and running around in the dog friendly paddock.
We are definitely looking forward to returning to the lovely Lincolnshire countryside and spending more time at our favourite cottages located in Fotherby 👍

Our family had an amazing time at The Woodland Cottages. We are here for BSB racing at Cadwell Park. About a 10-12 minute drive from the circuit. Airbnb was clean and perfect size. Cozy and quiet accommodations, home away from home!!
