Working with Jan on the interior design has been an absolute pleasure. She’s incredibly organised, has a wonderful eye for timeless, tasteful design, and has made the entire process feel effortless. I genuinely look forward to our calls and always come away feeling excited about what we’re creating together. Jan is an absolute dream to work with, and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.

Ed and his team are always friendly, professional and positive. They are exactly the team you want when working on complex projects.

Used Ed and his team to put my property through planning etc.. couldn’t fault them, came up with some great ideas and drawings.. would highly recommend!

I’ve worked with Edward and Kaan on several planning applications now, all of which have resulted in positive outcomes. They consistently provide a high standard of work, are thorough in their approach, and understand how to present a strong planning case.

Communication has always been prompt, they’re proactive when issues arise, and they’re a pleasure to work with. Having dealt with a number of planning consultants over the years, I can confidently say they stand out for their professionalism and the quality of their advice.

Thanks again to both of you for your hard work and continued support. I look forward to working together on many more successful projects.

I booked a feasibility study before committing to the purchase of a property I intended to convert into an HMO. The team were thorough, professional and, most importantly, completely honest. Although the outcome wasn't what I initially hoped for due to planning constraints, the study identified significant risks that could have cost me a substantial amount of money had I proceeded without proper due diligence. The process, communication and advice from Jodi and Kaan were excellent throughout. Rather than simply telling me what I wanted to hear, they provided practical alternative strategies and gave me the confidence to make an informed decision. I would highly recommend their feasibility study to anyone considering an HMO or property conversion project.

Thistlearchitecture recently did the full planning application on a Hotel we own to which they gain planning permission to turn it into a 9 bedroom HMO.

Great service throughout, always easy to get on the phone and very details with their work.

I would recommend to all looking for an experienced architect.

Special shoutout to Edd and Khan who were both great to work with.

I decided to work with Ed and the team due to their experience in HMO conversions. I was purchasing my first building to convert and needed expert guidance. The whole process was so enjoyable and the results were fantastic! I’m now in the building stage and it’s going so smoothly due to having their technical drawings. Everyone knows what’s needed and how it will all come together.

Jodi has been a regular support to me throughout the process too and it’s really lovely that she checks in to see how it’s all going. They are a great team and I will definitely be using them again on project no 2. Thank you guys!

We have been working with Ed and the team at Thistle Architecture on a complex office-to-residential conversion and roof extension project in Winchester, and the service throughout has been excellent.

Ed has been proactive, commercially minded and solutions-focused from day one. The project has involved planning challenges, structural coordination, conservation considerations and stakeholder management, and Thistle have consistently helped drive the process forward in a calm and professional way.

What has stood out most is their responsiveness, attention to detail and ability to balance good design with practical development realities. Communication has always been clear, and they have worked collaboratively with consultants, engineers and the wider team to keep momentum on the project.

I would highly recommend Thistle Architecture to anyone undertaking residential development or complex refurbishment projects.
