Another extremely well organised event with these guys. As much or as little support and guidance as you wanted but always on hand and very helpful. Can’t wait for the next one.

An enjoyable day in the company of two pleasant tutors with good communication skills.
The hybrid shooting/processing combination was not so successful for me as the images were shot with the subsequent processing in mind which, whilst very comprehensive, was aimed below my current intermediate level.
I will book again with Dibs and Duncan without hesitation, but stick to the shooting.

A great afternoon at Happisburgh and Thurne Mill. Despite the couple of squalls that had us sheltering as best we could, the weather was pretty much perfect for some long exposure photography. Dibs and Duncan were attentive to the groups needs, offering advice on composition and exposure times, and providing interesting information on the locations which put the photographs into a context.
Definitely worth the 5½ hours driving to have a guided photo shoot in a new location.

A well organised and enjoyable trip with help always available if needed. Met some very nice other photographers as well. Thank you both.

It was a great opportunity to explore parts of the city at night with a group of other photographers in a friendly and informal manner. It's a great way to learn, practice and experiment as well as meeting other photographers and as always a very enjoyable evening.

I had a 1 day 1 to 1 session on landscape photography.
All I can say is it was excellent. We looked at composition, setting up the camera and tripod, filters as well the settings in the camera and how to use manual and auto focus to ensure crisp images.

The course leader,Dibs, had filters and other equipment available for me to use, so I could try techniques that i otherwise could not have done.

Dibs is an excellent tutor with an easy going and relaxed style.

I highly recommend the 1 to 1 sessions and I intend to try the group sessions in the future.

‘Content and explanation was interesting, good & explicit. Bad weather was unfortunate so we couldn’t go out. Notes were useful and thorough though so still learned a lot.
Nevertheless it could have been shorter considering we couldn’t actually go out & photograph anything. ‘
I’m quoting my husband here as I bought him the course as a present. He did enjoy it and learned a lot. From my point of view, as the person booking it, I’m a bit irritated that, although I asked that you contact him directly instead of me, you never did. Nor did I get a response when I sent a follow up email. It’s minor I suppose, but I think you need to do a bit of work on actually reading your emails !

Lots of detailed instruction. Very friendly and helpful. Great knowledge base and experience. Tried hard to make the event a success

Get yourself on one of the Through the Lens workshops. The training and coaching is first class you won't be disappointed. Been on 4 trips covering Seascapes, landscapes, astrophotography and a wedding workshop. Absolutely brilliant

I am a full time professional wedding/ portrait photographer (30 years plus) so I a full understanding of how to use my camera.
But I had never shot a landscape professionally! Now I’m semi retired I wanted to get the enjoyment back into my photography. I needed to get my head around composition along with the best technique. I went out with Dibs and Duncan - I was very impressed by their style and knowledge. They ensured that everyone was happy and they offered lots of support.

I've now been on four of the photography trips organised by Through the Lens Workshops and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I value and appreciate having the chance to explore sites that one wouldn't necessarily be able to access as an individual. The organisers are friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgable, I'd highly recommend giving them a go.

I have been on multiple workshops with Through the Lens Workshops - including Night/Astro photography, Sunsets, Windmills, Boats, Long Exposure etc. The workshops suit all abilities and work at a reasonable pace. The people running the workshops are knowledgable and patient. Highly recommended.

It was really good to get out and take photos with other like minded folk. Dibs and Duncan are pleasant, amiable and knowledgable photographers who allow you to get on with taking photos and will provide advice and technical help when you feel you need it and will not crowd you. The locations selected for the shoot were atmospheric and despite the appalling weather, I felt the experience was really positive and I would not hesitate to attend other Through the Lens workshops.
