Appear to intentionally create roadblocks to cancel membership
The employees at the local Car Wash were very friendly, but noticed numerous areas were missed after completing the wash. I also noticed marks left in the finish, so I decided to cancel my membership. I tried for days on and off to cancel through the website. I got errors that I needed to complete the Captcha security even after it was completed. It showed that my account couldn't be found. I finally decided to call in to cancel. I tried a few days, but the call wouldn't go through. By selecting the phone number on the website to automatically call, I just received a message that this was an invalid number. I finally realized that the number automatically dialed is different from the number on the website. I finally reached customer service. I explained the difficulties of trying to cancel online and to call in. The representative, Reese, was unable to find my account using my phone number. This made sense why I couldn't cancel my membership online since the phone # was required. I started trying to cancel the membership before a new month started, and asked to reverse the charge just made. I was told that I should have gone to the Car Wash. I asked to speak to a Manager and she kept refusing and saying I should go the local car wash. After refusing to hang up, she transferred me to a manager, Angela. She expressed disbelief about the phone # and asked me to tell her the number dialed for the first calls. I shared the number and she told me that was for there car wash in GA. I'm in Ohio and offered the screenshot from my phone showing that a different phone number pops up when selecting the number on their website. She was very dismissive and used the same excuse that I should have gone in person. At this point, I will dispute the charge with the credit card company. It's a small amount of money, but since they appear to intentionally create roadblocks to cancel, I will dispute. A+ to local employees, but disastrous customer service experience with the corporate office.
