Ordered some wood for 4.5m long shelving online and paid in full. Received the confirmation email within the specified timeframe and all was good, then I received a phone call from Timbersource. A slightly nervous sounding employee gave me the bad news (I assume they were nervous because they knew it was bad news, I've been there myself) that the type of wood I had ordered was something they were unable to supply in the required length. Before I could say anything I was offered an alternative that they could provide for the same cost, which I was more than happy to accept. I was asked if an earlier delivery date was an option, something I was not going to turn down due to the exceptional customer service I had just received. Sure enough, new invoice quickly received showing the new wood order, quickly followed by confirmation of when it would be delivered. Delivery was exactly when expected, including the pre-delivery driver phone call (which i couldn't answer, sorry). Wood was slightly longer than ordered but other than that was in perfect condition as very well packaged. Not bothered at all by the inability to supply the wood I initially ordered, nor the planks received being longer than ordered.....as their website states this is always a possibility due to availability, natural product variation, all the usual stuff. So, I knew there could be problems going into the order, and Timbersource dealt with them extremely efficiently, so I would recommend them to anyone.

This company is a delight to deal with,I needed 3 shelves for an antique glass fronted cabinet.The gentleman on the phone was so interesting to talk to and knew a hugh amount about wood.I went with his recommendation and the wood and shelves are perfect, Thankyou!-

After a few niggles about knots and splits in the floorboards...the matter was resolved and we are very happy now with quality. A timely response to my issues dealt with no quibbles and with courtesy.

Order placed 20/07/23, no confirmation of the order was sent by them. I had to call on 3 separate occasions over 7 days to get them to acknowledge the order. Finally, after receiving a PDF that showed the order, I was informed a delivery date of 31/07/2023 was set. Waited in all day, contacted them towards the end of the day (after no delivery or updates) to be told the delivery is now pushed back to 02/08/2023. I can't comment on the wood, I am not overly confident I will ever receive it... Amazon level service is not expected, however, some service certainly is. A shocking experience so far and I don't even have the wood yet! TBC...

First order (some Iroko) was cut incorrectly. I contacted Tom, sent some photos, and he immediately re-ordered, and personally monitored a new set and had it sent next day. What I received was beautiful and exactly to spec.. Ofc I expect they like to get things right first time, but they sure do make up for any errors.

And very nice they were about it too.

I was looking from some Oak for a dining table project from my Hospitality business. I contacted Timber Source late one night for a quote. Chris responded the same evening with a quote for the timber. I called him to place the order, he talked me through a few different options depending on the look I was trying to achieve. I ordered and then changed my mind. Chris was so professional regarding this. The service I’ve received from Chris is unbelievable. He even called me once the order has been delivered to ensure I was satisfied. I was more than satisfied. He sent the most amazing wood out to us. He really cares about the customers. This was my second experience of buying from Timbersource, and while I knew from the first time around that their product would be high quality, on this occasion I found out that their customer-service is top-drawer too.

In a nutshell, as a DIY-er rather than a professional I'd made a rookie error when specifying my order. I won't go into details but the key thing is that, rather than just a shrug of the shoulders and being told that "well, that's what you ordered mate..." Chris went above and beyond in correcting the mistake - my mistake - on the spot so that I left with the timber I needed, rather than what I had mistakenly ordered.

More importantly, he was keen to discuss how I might avoid errors in the future, and how Timbersource could learn from my experience in order to ensure that other less well-informed customers might avoid making similar mistakes.

I can't recommend this company highly enough, and if you're scratching your head about what to order for that DIY project just pick up the phone and discuss it with them - they won't bite, and won't make you feel intimidated.

Having said that, they're not just about supplying timber to amateurs like me, and I'm pretty sure that pros will be more than happy with the quality and range of product Timbersource can supply.

Really good service. One of the pieces was sub-standard, I emailed to point this out and got a phone call within 5 minutes to apologise and arrange a replacement.

Timbersource did an excellent job to produce a bespoke hardwood door sill after the original showed bad signs of rot.
I was very impressed by the swift and professional service, catering to customer needs- even willing to follow my drawings and photos precisely to produce an exact copy of the old sill.
Friendly service and great advice, with a prompt delivery and reasonable price. I highly recommend Timbersource!

Excellent seller. Needed some American walnut and Canadian maple for a furniture project. Very good value wood in good condition. Quick delivery. Will definitely use again.

I was very impressed with the service I received. All pieces were cut to the dimensions I requested, I was worried about the wood getting damaged in transit or getting water damage on the drive. However I need not have worried, it was well wrapped and padded with great edge protection. The wood itself looks great with a good finish.

Staff are very helpful, prices are reasonable, order was handled in a timely manner. All in all very happy. They even through in an off cut so I could make up my own brackets for shelving. Much appreciated.

I have now had my order of timber for about a month and have been able to fully evaluate. The timber supplied was a mix of Ash, Iroko and Oak not only was it of excellent quality but enough to leave me some spare, the order was quite large £1000+ and from point of order to delivery was less than a week. I am lucky to have the ability to cut and plane the timber to size myself so ordered sawn not cut to size. In summary excellent quality, very competitive price lowest quote of 4 different companies, superb delivery and thanks to Seb who put up with a lot of changes brilliant service, would I use this company again, absolutely.

I received excellent customer service throughout the entire process of dealing with Timbersource. The product was exactly as I ordered and the quality of products was perfect. From my experience I rate this company very highly. The only minor flaw related to the appointed courier DX who did not notify that they were delivering until the morning of the day it was due. Fortunately I was at home and had not made any other plans. I did try to contact the courier but they did not even respond to their chat system. However the couriers inadequacies should not in any way detract from the exceptional service of Timbersource.

As a small time toy maker I just want to give a shout out to Timbersource and specifically Seb.

When I first approached the company, Seb answered all my questions and queries as a newbie to wood.

He’s since managed all my orders and is my preference to contact him directly to put them through. He’s quick and efficient to reply to my emails, put my orders through and the company as a whole processes them quickly.

He’s a good lad, carries my wood to the car and even chops it down for me when muppet me brings the wrong vehicle and the boot doesn’t open! 😂

He’s a credit to the company. The wood is always superb and has helped launch my toy making business.

Definitely a customer for the long run.
