Great visit from emergency locksmith Shane. We have a complex lock and when it unexpectedly jammed Shane from Timpsons was a lifesaver. Efficient, polite knowledgeable and so professional - he installed and tested really thoroughly to ensure the new lock was 100% secure and working perfectly. Five star customer service!! Thank you Shane.

Was very impressed by the service from booking the call-out to the locksmith and advice he gave. It was all very efficient, helpful and smooth.

I just wanted to leave a review of Timpsons locksmiths. After our Yale lock failed in our old front door, we had an efficient, polite and thorough visit to replace the whole unit the same day. Excellent service and advice. Transparent and very reasonable pricing. I will highly recommend Timpsons and will use them again for any future lock related issues.

My front door lock burst but while it was locked and open (couldn't close door) so I called for help. No call back to let me know when someone would arrive so I chased up 2 hours later to be told no one can come until the next morning and I didn't receive a callback because she wrote my number down wrong.
Abysmal service, dont go near.

I went to B&Q Charlton yesterday to buy a yale barrel and needed to cut 2 extra keys.
I went to the key machine and ordered 2 keys and it had an offer to buy 2 and get the third free which I thought was a bonus.
The cutting process was very slow, and then when I tried the keys in the barrel THEY DID NOT WORK.
B&Q could not help and told me to call the number on the machine.
I needed the keys urgently and was left with no option to get an immediate replacement.
Now I am out of pocket and have to go out of my way to find a Timpsons to rectify my problem which I couldn't do as my emailled receipt was delivered at MANY HOURS LATER at 22.30
Today I ring the number and a girl answers the phone like she's talking to one of her mates! I had to confirm whether I had the rang the correct phone number

Absolutely useless. Time agreed for lock changes but due to intimidation by a third party they disappeared and refused to come back. Disgusting.

My kids broke the sliding door of our patio. I was expecting a huge cost and maybe having to get the whole door replaced. William attended a late night call and assured me that the door could be fixed with a small part replacement. My door is old and the part was not easy to find, but he located it and ordered it through Timpson. Came back five days later with the new part and fitted it in, but not without some last minute drama where a bit of broken metal was stuck in a hard to reach groove and not allowing the lock to engage. William sussed it out with the skills of a code breaker / detective at work, and managed to get the door back to full working order. And asked to be paid only at the every end of the job. All in all - I was thoroughly impressed with Timpson and glad I contacted them. William is a great asset for the company, and the Timpson brand is synonymous with quality and good value. Thank you William and Timpson.

William Barrie is amazing. I had locked myself out of my flat and had to call out an emergency locksmith in the early hours of the morning. They got me into the flat but wrecked the door in the process and could not replace the lock because of their poor workmanship.

I called Timpson to replace the lock and also have a London bar installed. William could not have been more courteous and helpful. We arranged a time for the visit, and he was there bang on time. The installation of the London bar took minutes. He had more trouble replacing the lock because of the previous bad workmanship, but he persevered and was able to fix the lock. He even cut me some spare keys from the back of his van and saved me a trip to the shop! All in all, I cannot recommend William highly enough. Thank you

Went into the shop in the Sainsbury's car park in Crawley, 2 polite and professional guys were working in there. I needed 2 new batteries for my 2 car keys central locking.
Not a rip off but very reasonable pricing.
I thoroughly recommend this business.

Very poor attitude, I am happy they won't provide the job.
I requested a quote for an intercom system, and they set up site survey.
The com style that was already poor and confusing ( they called and hung up mid call ), and after the site survey the ghosted. Requested an update after 10 days and they won't be able to provide the service.
Why did they couldn't mention it on the site survey? Why did they behave so poorly?

Timpson - Wonderful Service
This is an entirely unsolicited account.
I cannot recommend Timpson’s services highly enough.
A couple of days ago I got a bit jittery about my outdoor lock defences and at 0900, approx., I rang Timpson locksmiths (0800 0 187 187).
By 4 pm the same day all the outdoor locks had been changed. The whole visit took two phone calls and one hour of installation.
Mr. L D was amazingly quick, thorough and efficient.
A great service in its entirety.

Timpsons Sainsbury's Nantwich. Had to travel to return a badly copied simple Yale lock like key that didn't work when I got it home.
An apology would have been appreciated :-(

Avoid at all costs. Extortionate prices. Poor service at timpsons Truro. £9 for a simple yale key. Told to come back in 20 minutes despite empty shop and a Sunday.. If you have a choice go elsewhere. I didnt

No show twice and no communication

£9 for a house key cut!! Receipt, says cylinder and mort( whatever that’s supposed to stand for) But £9 for the standard house key copy and cut under a minute at one of those superstore kiosk.

These people are scary and malicious.

Got Van key replaced in their store at Tesco, Dungannon. Top class service

Extremely unfair expensive pricing and service. We were told that to gain access lock will be broken, new lock will be installed and new keys will be provided. And that will cost £160. But when the locksmith came after 4 hours, he just swiped the card and lcok was opened. It was a matter of few seconds. Next day when we called to discuss the refund we were told that "there is no scene of refund as once the engineer said a price, we cannot change it". I mean £160 for just swiping the card, afer making the customer to wait for 4 hours.
