Great Experience!

I ordered a Ruger Rifle from Matt and received it in less than a week. I live in Mt Dora, FL. The price and shipping were unbeatable and I was updated several times on the progress of my purchase. I am extremely happy with Matt and his crew and would not hesitate to order another firearm form him. Thanks Matt!

Wanted to order some ammo

Wanted to order some ammo, came up a $20 ammo shipping fee. Web site says firearms ship free everything else $7.95. Sent message to company and owners response is “move on if you don’t like it “. So I did!

Smooth glitch-free transaction

Smooth glitch-free transaction with prompt delivery. The moment you make your purchase also notify your FFL with the required information. I don’t know whether all FFLs do this or not, but mine sends an email or fax to the seller with the information I sent to them (minus the actual FFL) which expedites the transaction.

I placed my order with Tin Star on a Thursday after 5PM, so likely they didn’t see it until Friday. Tin Star is closed Sunday and Monday, but on Tuesday there was an email waiting for me from Tin Star confirming my purchase. Following shortly thereafter was an email from Matt Wilson confirming shipping with tracking info.

Tin Star offers free shipping, and USPS tracking estimated delivery for Thursday after 9pm, one week after I placed my order. Actual delivery per USPS tracking showed that it was delivered to my FFL on Thursday at 11:30 am on August 25, 2022. My FFL called me Friday morning and I had my order in my hand by 10:00am.

Because my FFL is also a small business and extremely busy they ask that customers tracking their orders do not call or stop by immediately upon seeing that their order has been delivered. Like most small businesses they are under a lot of stress, and deserve our support and patience.

Thank you Tin Star for the excellent service, and I wish this experience on every customer.

I'm his latest victim

I'm his latest victim. I Should have done a review search here when I saw the web page was off; in that it didn't represent the product being sold. So I thought I would ask him some questions asked for pictures. He showed me everything I wanted to see via email. I agreed to his terms and decided to buy. He shipped it no problems. But when I got the product it wasn't what I ordered. But once the transfer was completed he was tough luck. DON"T HAVE ANY EXPECTATION OF CUSTOMER SERVICE! HE IS A LIAR! Upon further inspection the product was used. There is no way I would believe the positive reviews on this site the way I was treated.

Great 1st Time Experience with Tin Star

I was hesitant about ordering due to some bad reviews, but I am so glad I gave them a try. I ordered a somewhat hard to find firearm on a Saturday. I received shipping confirmation on Monday (even though they are closed on Monday) and the gun was at my FFL on Wednesday! I was ready to wait for a while for it to ship because if anything went wrong, I was not out anything since I could not find the firearm anywhere else even at a decent price! If you are patient and give them time, you will most likely receive what you ordered (at a great price!). Patience is the key word, show them some respect and things might go a bit better! I will definitely use them again.

Stay away!

Stay away! Should have listened to the MANY other negative reviews. Placed an order for an item that showed as in stock. Shortly after placing the order I noticed the inventory count showed negative one and out of stock. Thought that was odd, so waited awhile longer and then noticed the item had been completely removed from their website.

I just wanted to confirm the item I ordered was actually in stock, so I tried calling the following day and was unable to reach anyone after multiple attempts. I then tried emailing, explaining I wasn't in a hurry for shipping, and just wanted to confirm the item was in stock. The owner replied and said "We will be back in the office on Monday and I will be glad to look at it at that time."

Monday comes and I hadn't heard from him, so I followed up again. The response I received from the owner was very rude and unprofessional. His response was "Stop!!! We are closed on Sunday and Monday!! Very clear. Why in the world are you so impatient!!" I explained that I was following up because his previous email said "We will be back in the office on Monday and I will be glad to look at it at that time." I even sent him a screenshot of that email. I thought he would recognize his error and apologize. However, he proceeded to double down on his unprofessionalism and emailed me "And again, what is your issue? Why are you so impatient?"

Potential Customers: Please take these reviews seriously and never do business with Tin Star Shooting Range! The owner (Matt Wilson) is extremely rude and unprofessional.

I wanted a sig 365 but on backorder

I wanted a sig 365 but on backorder. I entered info to be notified when otherwise. A few weeks post, notification came. Gun was available, purchased at a great price point and shipped. I love TS! Will buy from Matt again. (A lot of whiny mo fos out here!)

Online order failure

Placed an order for a gun online, received a confirmation email. Was later notified that the gun is not in stock and could not be shipped. What's the point of an online order if customers are permitted to order guns that are not in stock?

Why in the hell are you going to have…

Why in the hell are you going to have an online store if you are not going to honor the transaction, I make an Order #310716, on Friday, Jun 5, 2020, on Tuesday, Jun 9 I sent an email asking when he is going to ship. Matt Wilson replies "Sir, you placed this order on the 5th. There is no shipping on Saturday and we are closed on Sunday and Monday. Thanks, Matt Wilson, Owner" (so refreshing to speak directly to the owner). But as you can see, no ETA. I think about giving them some time. So I wait until Thursday, Jun 11, 2 full days later. I contact them on their website chat, I asked about how much time they need to ship the item. Right away Matt replies asking if there was a problem and offers me a refund. I reply that I was more interested in getting the item. He told me that this is not amazon, I asked how much time do you need, he replies he doesn't have time for games and now (as a punishment) he will do a refund. What is wrong with this guy, he has such a short fuse. I was looking for simple information, I didn't argue, I didn't fight. I don't deserve this treatment.

Be aware!

Be aware! This guy post pics of the guns he has for sale but their not pics of the actual gun. I just got duped by him. I bought a Henry rifle from him that had a unique beautiful two tone stock on it. I get the gun in and guess what? No beautiful two tone stock. He told me I didn't read the description. SO IT'S MY FAULT YOU FALSELY ADVERTISE GUNS?! Plus, when I bought the gun I input the info to have it shipped to my ffl dealer. They were expensive so I contacted him and asked if he could send it to a different ffl so I could save some money. He said sure. So it took me a couple of days but I got the ffl info and sent it to him. He responded with "okay, I'll ship it out tomorrow". When it got here guess what? He shipped it to the wrong ffl anyway and cost me an extra $20 and wasted my time and gas for nothing! I could have bought that exact same gun at Academy for $30 cheaper and got it in 30 minutes. What a complete waste! Don't trust this guy he's shady AF!

Made immediate payment, however they never told me that they would be unable to fulfill the order five days later - only after I sent two e-mails checking on the status of the item.

Outstanding First Online Experience with Tin Star Shooting Range !

I just had one of my best online experiences with Tin Star Shooting Range. I’ve been looking for a Springfield Armory Hellcat w/SMSc red dot. Last Sunday night I was researching the web to find one and noticed that Tin Star was showing in stock. So Monday morning I emailed them asking if they did have Hellcats in stock. At this point I didn’t know that Tin Star is closed on Mondays, but Matt was nice and responded that morning that they had them. Sweet so I placed my online order Monday afternoon, I received an email Tuesday afternoon that my gun had shipped and got my tracking number. Thursday afternoon it was at my FFL shop and picked it up today! Now for me that’s outstanding customer service to get taken care of. I’m a 60yr old man and I appreciate great customer service and shipping. I’m in Kansas and Tin Star is in Oklahoma, so I would definitely do business again when looking for a new gun.
So I want to thank Matt from Tin Star and his employees for taking care of me with outstanding service ! !

Dishonest business that sends abusive eMails

After reading a few cautionary reviews about Tin Star Shooting Range's non-fulfillment of orders due to items not being in stock, I called ahead and verified availability. I was told that there were a number of the item in stock. One week after my order was placed, I called to inquire if it had been shipped, as I hadn't heard anything. The response that I received was sarcastic and non-responsive. I only received an answer on a shipping date (10 days after my order was placed) after I called and canceled my order.

Ten minutes after I canceled, I received another eMail from Matt. This was the first eMail where he provided a shipping date. He entirely ignored the fact that I had canceled my order, and he insisted that he was going to ship the item anyways. He placed blame for the delay on me, and insulted me.
I ended up having to get my credit card to reverse charges to get my money back on the unshipped order.

I understand that delays and errors can and do happen from time to time. They may be inconvenient, but when businesses handle situations with honesty and professionalism, it's seldom a significant problem. Instead, Tin Star chooses dishonesty, blaming others for their mistakes, and deliberate rudeness.
