Company has replied and promised replacement
ORIGINAL:
Pretty much same as everyone else here. Bought an armature around £50 inc postage. Arrived damaged; UPS courier alerted me to the trashed box, I took out the armature and examined it. Bent to hell due to totally unprotected drop. Rejected, UPS took it back with them. At this point I discover, like everyone else, that this company has no phone, no way to contact them other than their 'easy-to-ignore' contact form. I left my complaint with order number and details... no response and judging by the other feedback here it looks like I can kiss my money goodbye. Lesson hammered home (again): don't spend money with un-contactable 'companies'.
UPDATE: The company DID contact me today (in response to the message I left via their contact form) and said they were sending out another item for me, thoroughly packed this time. That's encouraging; hopefully I'll get the correct item in good condition.
The chap explained to me some structural reason ('this company is a subsidiary of that company which is owned by this other company etc') why they couldn't be contacted directly by customers other than via the 'contact form'... but whoever owns the company my feedback still stands i.e. MAKE YOURSELF CONTACTABLE and accountable as real human beings at a real identifiable address. He wasn't receptive to my feedback that the packaging was inadequate (it absolutely WAS!) saying this was the only damage in 5 years or so. Basically, if something is damaged the way this item was, then IT WAS INCORRECTLY PACKAGED, period, full-stop. I could send the same item day in day out without it getting damaged. All it requires is sufficient bubble wrap to create a 'compressed' air buffer around the item in its close-fitting box. But why argue the damn point with me?? (Sigh)
