Had a towel rail from this company, after 9 months the black enamel is coming off and rusting. Contacted them via Wickes who supplied and fitted it and were told it’s not covered under warranty because it’s in an area of HIGH HUMIDITY, it’s a bathroom radiator

I contacted Towelrads customer services by telephone on 6th May2026 regarding a rusting towels rail which I had purchased online through Wickes in 2023.The rail was covered by a 10 year guarantee. I was asked to submit photos of the rail and proof of purchased via email. I emailed the required information on 6th May 2026 and received an email from Sarah on 7th May2026 informing me that a replacement rail would be delivered on 8th May 2026. My replacement rail has indeed arrived as stated on 8th May. Excellent customer service. Thank you Sarah and Towelrads.

Product went rusty very quickly but I was denied a refund by the business.

Products are not fit for purpose, I strongly recommend you avoid!

They try to blame it on you and say that you must have done something wrong.

Contacted company due to a problem, quick response, clear actions to take, sent me replacement. Minimum of fuss and in good time. Thank you .

I purchased via Wickes - one radiator is misaligned - a manufacturing defect - they just continue to deny liability and try to blame transport damage - it has no damage - involving trading standards - suggest you buy elsewhere

I bought a smart heating element for an electric towel rail costing £80. It is not smart at all and does not connect to WiFi.
Towelrads claim ‘smart’ does not mean it connects to the WiFi.
What a joke.
Everywhere else smart means connects to WiFi.
Then they want you to pay to restock the item.

Bathroom towel rail was fitted in my new build home. Within 2 years, the towel rail started to rust, it's has gotten gradually worse and worse. We only ever used microfiber cloth and warm water to clean as per the guide but it is all just crumbling away. When querying the warranty, I was informed that this level of rust was not covered under the warranty. At this point, there is more brown on the towel rail than white but it's not covered for some reason. Definitely avoid this company. Not only poor product but an unwillingness to adhere to the warranty.

Avoid using Towelrads at all costs! I ordered four “designer” radiators from Wickes as part of my complete bathroom refurbishment project. When the installer opened the packaging, three out of the four radiators were damaged - meaning that the company have knowingly packed damaged/faulty goods and tried to pass onto their customers. Upon reporting the damage, Towelrads have refused to pick up the damaged items and have also refused to provide replacements due to their ridiculous returns policy of only 3 days from delivery (which is complete breach of the consumer rights act).

Incredibly poor quality and even worse customer service!

I have nothing but praise for the Customer Services Team at Towelrads. I needed to replace a broken remote control (my fault as I dropped it) for one of my radiators and they were really helpful, friendly and a delight to deal with.

I was trying to identify the maker of the electric towel rail control that had recently been installed in the apartment that we had bought. I found a picture of it in Trading Depot's website, from which I learned that it was a Towelrad controller. Towelrad were completely uncooperative in my attempt, and several made by Trading Depot on my behalf, to obtain a user manual for the controller.

Next day service. Good supply of radiators. The lad who delivers is always helpful.
