I originally ordered a set of small rubber protection feet for an Alessi tray to help prevent scratches on the highly polished surface. The items arrived remarkably quickly, but what really stood out was the communication.
Many companies can process an order. Far fewer can do so while making you smile.
The correspondence included a wonderfully humorous reference to a team of highly caffeinated squirrels working at breakneck speed to dispatch orders. Whether or not these squirrels are receiving the appropriate number of espresso shots remains a matter for further investigation, but judging by the speed of delivery, they are certainly earning their keep.
The order arrived promptly, was exactly as described, and the service was excellent throughout. More importantly, there was a genuine sense that a real person was on the other end of the message rather than a soulless automated response.
In a world where customer service often feels robotic, a little humour goes a long way. The products were perfect, the delivery was impressively fast, and the cheerful correspondence put a smile on my face.
