TODAY, at Platform 1 Roma Bus station, It is very dishearten for me that the translink personnels and 3 buses drivers from 5:15PM to 6:00PM was not allowing me to ride in the RAIL 591 Banoon going to Coopers plains because I have with me an e-scooter. Although I try to beg and negotiate.
There are no TRAINS in service today.
I normally go to my work,church meetings and other appointments thru train (with my scooter with me)
I did try to explain that this is my only way to go to places thru a train and they know that there is no train services today. I TRY TO NEGOTIATE TO ATTEND OUR CHURCH ACTIVITY TODAY ):
One translink personnel said I have to call translink and see if they allow me and point me to a sticker with a number.
"Really at this very moment that I am running late to our church activity?"

I beg the driver if only they can give me a chance as I have no other way to go and i dont have sufficient money in my bank to ride an uber. Uber cost 80-
100$ to go there.
The 3rd driver told me that it is not their worries and I have to ride a taxi or uber. (GOD' sake.)
How rude and heartless!!!!!!!!

Buses drivers R591 between 5:15 to 6:30PM.
PLEASE TRANSLINK AUTHORITY.
DO SOMETHING ON THIS.
WE ARE NOT ALL SAME like others who got PRIVILEDGE HERE TO HAVE A PERSONAL TRANSPORT and CAR AND HAVE LOTS OF MONEY TO RIDE A TAXI O UBER.

I did research that in Queensland it is allowed as long as it gets folded.

Go cards - Impossible to refund them

We chose Translink and its Go Cards for our travels in Queensland during our holidays in Australia, for our family of 4. Everything went well until it was time to return the cards and collect the unused money on them. However, we scrupulously followed the procedure, going back to a counter at Goldcoast Airport, just before taking our plane. They couldn't do it! Then we wanted to file an online claim on their recommendation - Impossible to do without an Australian bank account.
in short, we feel robbed!
We do not understand and are disappointed, we who thought we were choosing an ecological and economical option...failed.
Also, we called their call center - felt snubbed as without an Australian bank account.
We strongly advise against it.

Shocking public transport system!

Shocking public transport system to start with... made so much harder these days as people can no longer use their services without an active Go Card... plus the inability for a card to be purchased incl activated instantly online. Why can't the entire process be handled online plus virtually instantly?

Especially complicated for new arrivals that now need a PhD to figure out where to purchase a card first before getting on a service!

Not worthy of a 21st-century service! Never seen anything more useless anywhere else in the developed world!

Note: Persons affected are overseas & interstate visitors of ours... plus ultimately us as well, as we try to pick them up at nearest bus stops they often arrive delayed to, due to having to find Go Cards first.

Plus try getting a Go Card on Christmas Day with most retailers closed that sell them! Not happy!
