My T18S/R14 18v router refused to start…
My T18S/R14 18v router refused to start up just when I had 5 doors and frames to do. Asked Tech support what I could try to get it working but it was broken. Filled in the repair form and got an email from a very nice lady (Kaytlin) confirming that they would collect and replace the unit (3 year old). Collected the next morning and new unit delivered 48 hours later. I can't fault that for a turnaround service and 5 doors and frames later, its working well again. Good old fashioned service and it didn't cost a penny either. Well happy.

Purchased a t32m extractor which stopped working just after 1 year which was not used very often.The box said it was under a 3 year warranty.I contacted trend which I was told because I had not registered the product it would not be repaired which I had not realised I had to do.I was very disappointed with trend and will not be purchasing any further products from trend.

I do apologise that you feel disappointed with the service you have received from us. Here at trend customer service is our top priority and we aim to give every customer the highest level of service possible, i am sorry you do not feel like you have received that. That being said we do have terms and conditions we have to follow when it comes to warranty repairs.
It is also displayed on the packaging of the product that it does require registration online to be able to qualify for the 3 years warranty.

Disappointing quality
Around a year ago I purchased a trend letter template and a cutter and guide bush they recommended for use with the template. I only got round to my planned project a couple of weeks ago when I realised my router needed the Trend unibase, so I purchased this.
As I used the kit I had purchased I noticed the cutter had cut into the letter G on the template and ruined it. This was because the plastic guide bush was missing around half of its centre and must have broken during use. I am a novice user of routers but having obtained template guides from other companies I cannot believe that any company makes these parts in plastic. As a result I now have a redundant unibase and a ruined letter template. Buyers beware, if you spend a few hundred pounds on a router be pennysmart and buy metal guide bushes not plastic.

I ordered a T8 router and made the…
I ordered a T8 router and made the mistake of selecting the Eu model. My fault but I believe the website needs to make this much clearer.
I was offered the option of returning the router, getting a credit and then ordering the UK version. I needed to use the router immediately so opted to chop the Eu plug and fit a UK plug despite it invalidating the warranty. To further add to my annoyance the Eu version only takes metric router bits(not explained to me by the Trend customer service team) meaning that my router bits wouldn’t fit! I have ordered a replacement imperial collet and sleeve.
Ultimately my fault but I maintain that the online description needs to be much clearer to avoid others making the same mistake.

Thank you for your review. Your feedback is appreciated, and we are always looking for ways to improve our customer experience. I can certainly appreciate your frustration, but we do feel that the description is sufficient as it is clearly listed as T8EK/EURO - 2200W 12mm Dual-Mode Plunge Router 230V EU. We also list the router specifications on the same page as Plug Type EU 2 Pin.
Although we do understand your need to have a router immediately, we did offer to organise a collection and replacement with a very fast turnaround, so you would be inconvenienced as little as possible. I am sorry that this option was not acceptable as we would have preferred to replace the router with the UK version and as such advised against modifying the router. I am however glad to read that you had an alternative router to complete the job.
With all due respect, our customer service team did not mention the different in shank sizes between the EU and UK version as this was not the conversation we were having at the time. Our intention was to offer the best and fastest solution to the issue you were experiencing. We do however advise on the router specifications that the supplied collet size is 12mm, standard to the EU version.
Once again, I do understand your frustration, but please can I ask you rate our services based on the level of customer care you received and the immediate options we provided to replace the router ordered in error. We are very proud of our Trustpilot score and pride ourselves on the high level of customer care we offer our customers.

Excellent communication
I reported a problem with a product one evening, the next day I received a reply from Kaytlin after a few short emails I was told a replacement would be sent out that day, I've received the product the next day.
In under 48hrs from getting in touch with Trend it has been dealt with in a swift, no fuss manner, which goes to show how they value their customers , and gives confidence in buying from Trend again
