So TC Kouyeas, the guy who wrote the review below. Wanted to update. Due to that review- Not positive but honest, the owner wrote me upset about the review and that I would not be welcome back as a customer as I was 'thankless.'

PS. Heres that follow up review. Also honest -The tuner wont go into 2 of the stock tunings it advertises, capo mode doesn't work. Otherwise it works! Ill guess Ill use it till it breaks again. Then ditch it. I wouldnt play a gig without a backup guitar for sure.

A decent product that is somewhat pricey to begin with, but when the terms and condition mention that it includes all applicable taxes, it's acceptable.

However, you then find out that's a lie when Fedex sticks you with the bill for taxes.

I wouldn't even mind if I knew up-front what I was letting myself in for.

From looking at the responses to these reviews, I expect to see "we don't consider that to be an applicable tax" or something else to weasel out of the terms and conditions. However, it's quite telling that the invoice doesn't mention tax anywhere, just that the price includes it. It's no surprise that customs decide to charge you tax if there's no evidence of it having been paid.

If tax is included in the price, it sounds like Tronical is making a nice extra chunk of money from international sales as they presumably don't have to pay any VAT to their local government.

Follow up based on response from Tronical: to be clear, I bought a complete TronicalTune device.

Quick and accurate! Especially shipping across the globe which can incur plenty of errors.

This was my second time ordering directly to the Tronical Tune website. The ordering process was fairly simple and the shipping quick. This time, the shipment was received with some missing products, but upon communication with the helpful online chat system, the missing products were delivered forthwith without fuss.
If the shipment had been sent perfectly from the start, I would not hesitate a 5 star rating, but considering how a non-English or German speaker would probably have been completely lost, I had to remark on the mistake on shipment as well as the remarkable recovery thereafter.

Everything was smooth and professional. But the cost is horrific. I paid $115 for a single Tuner Peg and in addition now received a bill from FedEx for another 30 swiss francs for importation. If another peg would break, I would just install regular tuners. It's a nice gimmick, but definitely not worth it at this price point.

A good pre-sale communication guided me through the different options, and allowed me to choose the prefect Tronicaltune.
First weeks of use: easy to install, easy to use, accurate enough fast tuning on stage!

Meine Bestellung kam in zwei Boxen.
Box eins? Eine abgefahrene, schlangenlederartige Würfelbox mit Logo drauf, drin die Mechaniken – präsentiert wie ein heiliges Relikt. Wer macht bitte so ein Packaging? Das ist nicht nur 'ne Verpackung – das ist ein Statement.

Box zwei? Tiefschwarz, öffnet sich wie eine Schmuckschatulle. Innen: die Elektronik. Platine, Akku, Ladegerät, Anleitung. Sieht aus wie Alien-Technologie. Als käme es direkt von einem Mars-Rocker. Und genau solche Details zählen für Leute wie uns.

Jetzt zum Einsatz: Ich hab’s auf einer Strat verbaut mit EMG-Pickups, Ahornhals, Graphit-Sattel und Graphit-Reitern. Mein Sound liegt irgendwo zwischen Andy Summers und David Gilmour, mit einer Prise 70s-Vibe.
Ich hab ein Label und ein Recording-Studio – wenn ich auf Aufnahme drücke, muss die Gitarre absolut, komplett, perfekt gestimmt sein. Ohne Ausreden.
Schon mal versucht, das mit einer Stratocaster hinzukriegen?
Dann weißt du, wovon ich rede.

I never received the batteries because there was to much fees for delivery. I have been refunded by PayPal so the batteries must have been sent back to you. At this price I will make a battery pack by myself for way less money

I became aware of Tronicaltune by using them with Gibson guitars. Delighted to find they make many different sets for other guitars. I bought a locally made guitar (Wallace Detroit Guitar Jettsetter) whose tuner spacing closely matched a Fender style C1 template. Purchased the appropriate tuner set and with slight modification to the peg holes the Tronicaltune installed and is working great.

Parts availability. Master control knob for a first generation Gibson robot is absolutely crucial to functioning robot guitar. These need to continue to be produced. On top of that, when I inquired I received what I considered a rude response. If there's any doubt about the bad temperament of the staff just look at the reply to this. They're just terribly rude people at this company. Despite what this employee said, this is the company that produced the tuning system for Gibson guitars robot and they continue to be the sole source of replacement parts for the first generation robot's automatic tuning system.

You got 1 star because youre rude. I'd give negative stars if it was an option. Also the staff at this company posted my private home address because they didn't like my review. Trust pilot removed it, but buyer beware! Your private data will not be respected by this company. I've filed a criminal complaint with their local police department.
