I bought one of their units primarily for the "road". Hotel Stays and Vacations with the unit was great. I'd rather have Music than TV. Fixing to buy 2 more and change out all the stuff in the House. You don't need receivers with all the Power this thing delivers.
You do need to be a "little" Tech savvy to get it up and running but once it's there, it's there!
Placed an order in mid-December. After a month no notice that the order was shipped. No response to several emails to tech support and marketing.

Unit arrived relatively quickly, considering how long things often take to get here from China.
I was a WEE bit disappointed it didn't come with a power supply, especially as a regular USB supply ISN'T what's needed. However, I was able to find a supply that worked. I configured the WiFi .. a bit finicky using just a few buttons .. and it connected worked just as hoped for!
Next step was to add some of MY stations, not the ones preprogrammed into the device. Sadly, I was NOT able to find the URLs for the "stream" of any of my stations.
So I went to the Tunersys.net website and found a page there that allowed me to pick stations from the site, using my mouse!, not the little buttons.
Narrowing the choices down from what must have been thousands, I got down to just my province (B.C.) There I found 72 stations to pick from, a combination of AM and FM. Frankly, I didn't know there WERE so many stations.
My problem now changed from finding ANY local station to picking WHICH local station .. a problem I'm happy to deal with.
I picked about a dozen and added them, somewhat magically, to my device, a very simple process.
In all, I'm very very happy with my purchase!
After a few months, my Tunersys radio started to freeze the tuner's navigation and had to be unplugged to resume operation. At any moment, control over the radio would become unavailable again. I contacted the seller in China but nothing was resolved. I ended up buying another device so I could find out where the defect was and order the correct part to replace and return to the excellent radio as before.

Order quickly sent. I set it up without any real problem but do find it a bit confusing looking for stations. The tuner has a small footprint but very high quality sound. I have purchased 3 inits over the years as they provide so much enjoyment.
I bought an Internet radio construction kit, the design is great, the quality is great, the delivery time was short.
If I had known about the more recently developed set, I would have bought it. I hope the software will be developed for this type as well!

Got the radio after 14 days, just as promised. It works great, the only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the presets do not work as in other radios. That is that the 1-9 buttons do not mean presets but quite another thing. To change between presets you have to work your way through several menus - cumbersome!

Regarding the presets, there might be a small misunderstanding on how the number buttons work. You can actually access your favorites directly: for example, simply press '3' to jump to your 3rd preset, or press '1' + '8' + 'OK' to jump directly to your 18th preset. You don't need to navigate through the menu!

WS161 does not have a very robust wireless communication card. Could not obtain internet connection, even though the unit could "see" the AP router.

To verify if the connectivity issue is caused by your home network environment, please perform this quick isolation test:
Please connect the WS161 to your smartphone's mobile hotspot. If the unit connects and streams normally via your phone's hotspot, this confirms the device's internet radio tuner is functioning perfectly. In that case, the issue lies with your home router's security or frequency settings (such as AP isolation or 5GHz band conflicts), which we can help you configure.
