I’ll be reporting Tutor Hero to the BBB. They were persistent at calling us to confirm we wanted tutoring and then made us prepay for a month of tutoring in advance with a promise that a tutor would reach out to us within a few days (they actually stated the day we would hear back by) Well no one ever reached out. I messaged the company that we hadn’t heard from anyone, and they didn’t respond. I had to directly call the company to find out what was going on. They said they were still to waiting to hear back from tutors. So they had us prepay before actually knowing if they had a tutor available. That’s a scam in my book. I understand paying a committed tutor in advance.. But paying for empty promises?. No thanks. Our granddaughter is really struggling in school and was actually excited to start tutoring. Now we will look elsewhere.

I had a wonderful experience dealing with the staff here in the northeast region - both with tutor set-up and the administrative offices.
They worked vigilantly to find me a local tutor. Danish isn't easy to fulfill and a virtual option was available but not suitable or me because I don't have a desktop. Nevertheless, I was extremely impressed with the personalized attention to detail and prompt responses. I was fully reimbursed without any challenges or issues. I was extremely grateful to always reach a live person. I know as a former ESL teacher that tutor experiences can be rough, but I felt confident that their tutors and methods were efficient for language learning. I recommend Totor Hero as a platform for those needing more than AI or virtual teachers.

They really work with you in finding the perfect fit for you time and Children needs. They are constantly checking in making sure everything is going well. Really recommended them.

We tried two other tutor services prior to this. Both were unsuccessful in reaching my child's potential math wise. Steve's tutoring enabled my daughter to achieve 200 points higher on her sat and psa tests. She was accepted at FSU! I credit Steve and his unique one on one training as the catalyst to her success!!!

This was very easy even though we had to prepay. My son is getting help with his accounting! He liked his first tutor so he’ll be sticking with her for the future! Sharon and everyone has been GREAT!

I really like that they kept in touch when I had concerns about the initial tutor not being a great fit for my daughter. They listened to what I wanted to get out of these tutoring sessions and found a good fit with Vivian. Now we’ve been with Vivian for about a month and she’s so friendly and does a great job keeping my daughter engaged, redirecting when necessary and doing a few different activities to keep the session moving along.

When I initially made contact, the customer service was awesome. It was so nice to speak with an actual person, Paul, who was kind and professional. Paul helped match me with a Tutor who was able to come to my house. My tutor, Hilary, is communicative, on time, and very helpful. I am getting the help I need with the specific projects that my class requires.

Our tutor is wonderful, tje kids love her, Shes a delight to have in our home and I’m so grateful for her patience with my twins, especially my little guy with severe adhd, I couldn’t be more thrilled to have her working with our boys!

She is young I like that, she seems to have experienced working with special kids. She was kind, but firm when she need it too. And she was willing to listen to my concerns

Anyelin was such a phenomenal help to my daughter for her AP US History exam. She was so upbeat and positive and had multiple ideas, tips and strategies on how to help her improve her score. Not only did she know the AP exam well but she knew each unit of the AP US history class. We cannot say enough good things about her. We only wish we would have started with her at the beginning of the year!

I've only had one lesson with my new Tutor teacher, but I was very excited to hear what he had to say and how to work for progress in my chosen subject. I'll have more to say as the lessons continue, but I can already see an improvement in myself after one lesson!

This was by far the worst educational experience I have ever had. To say that my tutor was unreliable and unprofessional would be a gross understatement. She canceled and or missed numerous appointments without notice. Sometimes my learning would be suspended for up to one month. After over a year of trying to learn French w/o any measure of consistency, I found myself frustrated, and was left feeling like a complete failure. Upon contacting the company, they were totally lacking any empathy for all of the missed appointments and my frustration. They would not provide any compensation at all for their completely negligent employee. To them I suppose not showing up for a lesson without notice was perfectly acceptable. As a highly regarded physician in my field, I am appalled by the utter lack of professionalism displayed by this company , and could not, in good conscience ,recommend them to anyone seeking to learn a new language. In conclusion, whatever you do - do not hire a tutor from Tutor Hero. You would be better served to learn through self study, online, AI or simply ANYTHING would be better than to have an experience like this!

Andrew N. is phenomenal! His knowledge of and expertise in using a MAC and the Adobe Creative Cloud is rare and unmatched! He is a fabulous teacher/tutor, so patient, kind, and reliable! I am lucky to have him and cannot sing his praises as much as he deserves.

I like the way you say to contact you directly. I believe this your way of deflecting the negative experience we had with your service, while making others believe that you have somehow addressed the issues. I did contact you directly, and nothing happened ... other than you saying that you were " terribly sorry."

..Im terribly sorry that terribly sorry just doesn't cut it.
