I'm an experienced tutor from the old First Tutors site, now on Tutorperch. Thanks to Fiona and Robert I managed to retrieve my old FT reviews back, a life saver!! They did an excellent job: easy to use and accessible platform that link students with tutors at minimal cost. Bravi!

With the closure of First Tutors, Tutorperch is one of a small number of options available for finding tutors by paying a small one-off fee. There are no per-lesson commission charges. It is a clear and professionally-run platform with queries answered in a timely manner. Congratulations to the founders for providing an excellent service at the right time.

This company supplied a need in the tutoring market. They have made information available to tutors in a timely fashion. Then they made it easy to move tutoring details to their website and supported users every step of the way.

After the sudden closure of First Tutors, I have been involved with Tutorperch and can definitely recommend to future tutees, tutors and parents. All interaction and communication has been attentive and prompt, operating with transparency and respect at each stage. I feel encouraged that my business is being handled in a professional and sound manner.

• My experience from tutorperch as a tutor has been excellent. When my referee could not be contacted because the emails from them were being filtered, their help was immediate, supportive, professional and effective. They replied to all my messages within 2 minutes and the problem was resolved in less than a day.
• They check all tutors’ credentials, including DBS, manually.
• Their website is particularly user friendly and registering with them has been easy as well as very fast.
• The fact that they do not take commission from my fees, so I do not need to increase my fees which would be tough for tutees, is uncommon and that they take £9.99 once from each student, and then tutor with tutee can connect independently afterwards is unique.
• They seem to be a ‘rebirth’ of the now closed First Tutors which has been a big relief, as there was no other website for tutors like them. They also offer the ability to import tutors’ First Tutors reviews to tutorperch.

I highly recommend tutorperch to tutors and to anyone who is searching for tutors as they are the most trustworthy, responsive, professional, helpful and fair I have seen to both tutors and tutees.

Great new website. Easy to navigate. Just pay a (small) one off fee to view the contact details of your chosen tutor, unlike other sites that charge commission per lesson, Filled the gap left by First Tutors, and looks just as good, if not better! Well done.

Great service and easy to use

Our 15 year old daughter has had 5 online lessons to date with David Easton in preparation for her GCSE mock examinations.
She has always found him to be extremely personable, approachable and calm and able to explain things in a way she is able to clearly understand. This has given her a renewed interest in Chemistry and made her feel much more confident. We would not hesitate to recommend Dave. He clearly has a passion for science and maths which he has also helped her with and is able to impart this to his students in his engaging lessons. Thank you so much for your support!

After the disastrous and completely unannounced closure of First Tutors, Fiona and Robert have brilliantly stepped into the breach with a site that in my view as a tutor actually betters First Tutors. Cheaper for parents and better organised for tutors - providing for free, services that its predecessor charged for. Additionally, Fiona and Robert’s response time to questions is unbelievably fast given that they both have other careers. I see great things ahead. People should really flock to this site.
