Brilliant
Bought one from eBay got hooked. Bought the pro board, voice pack, and subscription. Got it in less than 24 hours and spent the next 8 hours watching and listening to train announcements and delays from Leeds station. Happy train geek who has got another geek interested and will help him buy one

I have the 'mini' and it is seriously cute.

I know that people comment that all the biz is available anyway 'for free' on various apps but that is not the point: this is a simple solution to a continuous flow of visual data. Mine is connected to a battery pack.

The tech works, the software works, switching to bus stops is trivially easy. Setting up a new wifi connection is slightly convoluted but also works. This is a thoroughly properly implented product.

I dont do the sound - not sure who would want that. I havent changed colour defaults - methinks that would militate against its cutness.

It isn't a 'bargain' but I really lurve it.

An endlessly fascinating device especially with the voice option to announce arrivals and departures. Excellent customer support when setting it up, too.

I have the smallest desktop version but the size in no way reduces the enjoyment of what it does. I usually have it set to my home station (Wrexham General) but do like to have Tube services on it occasionally as I lived in London a few years back.

When I hear the chime that precedes an announcement, it makes me feel like a youngster again, knowing that there's a train coming, even though I'm about a mile from the station and can't see it, or hear it unless the wind is favourable.

It's a lot of fun for anyone who likes trains and can keep me amused for hours. I used to have it on the kitchen windowsill but it needed turning down when listening to the radio, so now it sits on a shelf in my modelling room, with other train related items.

Would fully recommend as a present for any rail nut!

The only downside is, if you have other clocks in the same room, such as on the cooker or microwave, it keeps better time, so will have you resetting the others quite frequently.

Boards are great. A lot of extra costs to use at its best

I absolutely love my Departure board. Its fun and very useful in my office located just outside Liverpool street station.

However, £6 a month for the additional services is steep.

I haven't needed to contact them, but can report that an order for a 60cm departure board arrived in 2 days as advertised, and was easy to setup and select my local station. It feels a well made product and looks just like a real display board. Happy to recommend!

Note: if you are wondering whether to order an extension power supply lead, the connection is on the right hand end of the device and the supplied cable is about 2m.

I am truly not the target demographic, living on the continent and not being into trainspotting or the like-
Having said that, I decided to purchase a board for a friend who desperately misses London. Had a few connectivity issues at first due the foreign plug and the owner answered our numerous emails swiftly on a weekend just before Christmas!
After getting both the original and replacement board to work , we decided to keep the second one and have loved it ever since. Great product and superb customer service !

A tough choice to choose which one to order I admit but fun nonetheless

Absolutely fantastic service. They even emailed me back on Christmas day when I had a question about the departure board voice pack. Above and beyond wonderful customer care.

The product itself is well made, has a fantastic screen and speaker, and was very easy to set up.

The setup instructions are wrong, They are written for an already set up board. Needs to be rewritten for a virgin board. I had to use the guides on YouTube to set it up!
