Bad customer service

I placed an order over a month ago and I still haven’t received it. I’ve tried contacting them via email with no luck. They only responded once after I commented on their IG post. They said that the the dispatching takes 2-3 weeks which I understand. But now it’s been over 6 weeks and they don’t respond to any of my emails anymore. They haven’t updated me on the order at all, so I asked for a refund but no response to that either.

Terrible experience with this company

Terrible experience with this company, do not order with them. I cancelled my order with them after less than a day of placing it. The order hasn’t yet been dispatched so I was able to cancel. Their communication was terrible and so delayed via email. I had to chase them multiple times to get a response. They eventually cancelled my order and said that I would expect a refund through PayPal within 10 working days. It’s now been well over 10 working days and I chased them about over a week ago and still have not received a response from them. It’s very disappointing that they are a Muslim company and doing this to other people.

Mixed experience

I bought a medium length pinch Niqab. I realised that pinch Niqab was not right for me due to eye size (i initially bought it as i thought it would be a good fit and not cause it to drop to my nose). So I sent off the pinch Niqab for exchange in the summer around august time. Alhamdulillah I finally got the new medium length non pinch Niqab this saturday 13th Dec. It did take a while for it to come due to issues but customer support was helpful. The Niqab material is good and i felt it stayed properly without slipping and hope it stays that way. However, i felt the material was not very breathable (i wore it on a cold day) and the eye window could be smaller as the Niqab is supposed to only show the two eyes but i can try to adjust my jilbaab and khimar to cover it properly. I plan to keep wearing though. Customer service was polite. The UK facility was closed around the time i sent the Niqab for the exchange so they never received it. Had I not followed up on this i believe that they would be forgotten my case. I would have appreciated timelines so i knew things were going along so i did not feel the need to consistently email out of fear of being forgotten.

Scammers !! I placed my order 2 months ago and just sent a message multiple times to find out when my items are likely to arrive. The lady responded she could not promise anything. Please Don’t buy anything from this page they’ll steal your money like they did not provide me the goods nor returned my money.

They stole my money!!!

I feel sick!! I placed my order a week ago and just sent a message to find out when my items are likely to arrive. The lady responded she could not promise anything because it is still at the factory. She offered me a refund because it would take longer than I can wait. I agreed and I have not received my refund or the order.

I have tried to email them but the domain does not exist any more. There is no contact number or alternative email address. I have been robbed and will have no choice but to contact the fraud department with my bank.

We all work hard for our money and trust these businesses to have ethics. If you cannot fulfil the orders you should refund in full. This is so disgusting, they should feel ashamed of themselves.

Is it out of business?

I have ordered some jersey hijabs on August 20th, as the quality of their hijabs is good. Haven’t received them no shipment details or anything and when I try to contact them on their given email it’s bouncing back don’t know what to do but I think I should forget about my order now. Probably they have run out of business and anymore ordering would be a scam.so beware.

I ordered niqaab 20 days ago

I ordered niqaab 20 days ago, and I still haven't gotten a confirmation email that my order is dispatched or anything. My emails are being ignored and my comments on Instagram asking for help are being actively deleted! What is this??!? Honestly I'm extremely disappointed as I really needed those niqaabs and payed big money and shipping cost. I used to buy from them few times before, I was a loyal customer however after this experience I won't buy again!

don't risk it

I ordered a few hijabs and finally got my order today. I placed the order on the 1st of July and got it today on the 17th...2 and a half weeks later :\

I had absolutely no tracking or dispatch email in the days to come. So I began panicking and emailed them...they did not reply. It took me three heavily worded emails to get them to reply to me, the last one being [I will have to report this] in capital letters. Eventually they emailed me back saying it will be sent out shortly, again I got nothing for 5 days, I then proceeded to email again (persistence is key) they then dispatched the items.

The funny thing is the hijabs are actually great quality its just a shame that the company is so terrible. There is no way to contact them. They ask that you don't DM them on insta, I did anyways and left comments underneath their posts and they never replied. They also have no number you can contact, but you're a business? how do you not have a number?

I wouldn't risk purchasing from here.

No order, no refund, no response.

I ordered a niqab at the end of April, I received it on time which was good. However, when I sent it back to exchange it and asked about my order, I didn't receive a response until the beginning of June about how they couldn't find my order. I sent a couple emails via different email accounts until they responded to one of them past mid June. They told me the package was received and they sent out the replacement but an additional fee was due because of the price difference, which is fair. So I asked them for their bank details. I have neither received a response nor my package and it is currently mid July. I have sent multiple emails but to no avail.

This is really an inappropriate and terrible management of services. There's not even a phone number I can use to contact the company. I have neither received my order nor have I received a refund for my order, so they've essentially just taken my money.

I have contacted my bank to report to their fraud department but it is a shame it had to come to that. Please be wary buying from this company.

I have been waiting 6 weeks for a refund on an item i returned due to sizing issues, have sent several emails to them regarding this and it has still not been resolved.

Room for improvement in product quality

Ordered a few different items about once a year from UKHT London, never had any issues with shipping alhamdulilah. However after reading countless reviews on here, tiktok, instagram etc regarding the same issues about emails being ignored and refunds not being processed I'd recommend being cautious especially if you're requesting a refund or exchange make sure to keep proof of shipping and ensure you are able to contact your bank if this happens.

In terms of emails I've only contacted them once as I'd received an automated email stating my order had been shipped and completed but had no tracking number or Royal Mail emails about the package being received. By the time I'd received a response I'd already had received the order alhamdulilah but honestly was just relieved to even receive a response despite it being unneeded by that point after seeing so many sisters say their queries were ignored on both email and instagram.

I generally only buy things on sale and judging from the 'quality' of their abayas compared to the price its a good thing too. their abayas are definitely an improvement from cheap fast fashion such as Shein and Temu but they're not much better in quality.

I've bought two Ayrobin abayas as this was one of my first abaya with pockets, the material of these abayas became damaged purely from being taken out of the packaging and being worn outside more than once. the buttons on both are loose and holding on for dear life - I don't ever button up my abaya, not that I have that choice anymore and there are missing buttons from my newer abaya of the two. The design which is slightly more suited for the women actually wearing them is what sets apart their products from cheaper alternatives.

I've heard non stop that this is the go to every sister buys their niqabs from but they simply don't restock enough to be able to buy a few and save on shipping. Personally I just find it easier to buy from other places since I don't see a difference in terms of quality compared to alternatives from other Muslim owned businesses, especially since there are cheaper alternatives with similar quality products. For sisters looking for UK based alternatives to buy niqabs: Ina Collection, Sunnauk, Sunnah Style, resellers on apps like Vinted and Depop and basically any other company selling Bedoon Essm (Saudi Niqabs) which are similar (and sometimes cheaper!) than UKHT London.

This review isn't intended to belittle UKHT London's products and services but personally they're just not in my list of Islamic Clothing companies I'd return to in a hurry...or ever considering I can't imagine trying out another one of their products or repurchasing anything any time soon. For sisters with fewer options I can understand why they would buy from here as their main source for Islamic Clothing though.

Such bad customer service

Such bad customer service. Ordered an item with express delivery… did not receive the item.. had to contact them on social media platforms as they didn’t respond to emails. They eventually responded to one then stopped. I had to contact my bank and report fraud because they wouldn’t give me my item or a refund. 2 months later they email again saying that the item is out of stock?! And if id like them to still send me the other item? Absolutely ridiculous

I regularly order from here though from my other email account that I use for online purchases (Trustpilot will unfortunately not allow you to use more than one email address), so while this review won't come up as verified it is absolutely genuine. I was surprised to see only one other review for this wonderful store so I am writing a long one to make up for it.

Initially I was a bit reluctant to order from here as I have had problems in the past with Islamic clothing companies' products not being as described and the sizing being a lot shorter or smaller than described, but I took the plunge earlier this year and this is pretty much the only place I order from now. The only thing I get from elsewhere are tube scarves as they are not sold here (I bought a bonnet style cap to try from here and while it is beautifully made and fits well, it isn't my 'go to'.

If an item is suddenly unavailable after ordering as has happened with a couple of orders, the owner emails me right away to let me know and ask whether I want a refund or to choose a similar style in a different colour for the same price. Other companies in the past have expected me to have some kind of extra sensory perception, know that there is some kind of stock issue and chase up my order and it has been a couple of weeks before I realise something is amiss and contact them.

Overall the quality and workmanship of the garments and hijabs is top notch, the fabrics used are excellent and I have only previously seen such fabrics used in Dubai and Saudi, yet the prices on Ukht London are very competitive with the Middle East and recently due to a weaker pound and other issues, actually cheaper.

Last week I had some extra spending money so I placed a big order for hijabs, niqabs and pins, and everything came in perfect condition via DHL and very carefully packaged and presented. The owner even threw in a free hijab which was lovely.

I just have a few very minor issues with the site and my purchases so far and I hope these will be taken as constructive and positive criticism. Firstly the site can be hard to navigate and when you select sort by latest, it does not sort by the most recent products at all, it seems to be a random order.

Second thing I would say is the colours shown in the site photos are not accurate in most cases, and sometimes they are way off the reality, in real life the colours are darker and less vibrant particularly when it comes to the niqabs and it is the same on any device, the more recently taken photos are quite a bit closer to the correct colour but still a bit inaccurate and lighter than in real life. When it comes to the products, I have had a scarf and an abaya arrive in different orders that had very slight greasy marks on them fresh out of the packaging, though these did wash out quite easily Alhamdulillaah and I haven't experienced it with anything else from here.

Overall quality control is excellent and customer service impeccable, in one order I received a butterfly abaya with a faulty zip and stitching, so a free return was promptly arranged for and the owner was highly apologetic and gave me a generous discount code for my next order. I have ordered a few other butterfly abayas and am very happy with them but the sizing of the cuffs and the neck varies a bit even though they are the same length, I have very slim wrists and average sized hands despite otherwise being built like a rugby player lol but on one black butterfly abaya it is a struggle to get my hands through the cuffs, which is not the best when in s hurry. I am hoping the forthcoming new batch addresses this and butterfly abayas with button cuffs would be even better, if that could be considered.

The only other thing I would add is not strictly to do with the products themselves, is that there is far too much single use plastics used for packaging, while if I recall correctly this is biodegradable plastic, it isn't truly biodegradable and decomposes into micro plastics instead. I would much prefer it if the corn starch 'plastic' was used instead, it isn't fully transparent and doesn't look as pristine, but I don't mind that and hopefully other customers wouldn't either.

Also as a final suggestion, I would love some brighter jewel toned colour niqabs and matching XL hijabs to be available, royal blue, Cadbury purple and bright deep teal and green would be fantastic, even as a limited edition, as I know the fabrics are not always easy to source. I would feel more confident wearing niqab in the UK again in brighter colours. I do have quite a bright deep green niqab from a Turkish company a few years ago but it isn't as well designed as the Ukht London ones.

Contacted me to let me know two items were out of stock. I chose if they could be replaced by another colour same Size to be refunded. They refunded with zero issues.
Quality is so great I want to make another order.
Well made and great colour selection. Just wish they had more slit sleeve abayas these look amazing!
