The mattress and cover is amazing…
The mattress and cover is amazing quality. The order process, service and delivery (scheduled on a day that I chose) was exemplary. The mattress set up was super easy too. I have it set on the softest setting and am still getting used to as a very thin-built man but my girlfriend is already over the moon about how great she is sleeping!
One thought though: The mattress components are individually packed in a box and wrapped in 2 layers of of sturdy plastic. I'm just wondering if there is a way to minimize the waste but on the other hand I also can't really think of a way of making transportation secure in a more eco-friendly way without making it awfully complicated...

Comfort without the worry
I ordered this mattress about 6 months ago because I was looking for something natural without the chemicals that are present in traditional mattresses. The product arrived on time and it is by far the most comfortable mattress I have slept on. I will definitely consider buying another one in the future

They use FIRE RETARDANT
They use FIRE RETARDANT! I have contacted them as I wanted to buy 2 of their mattresses. They were really helpful and responded within half an hour to all my questions until I asked them to provide the fire safety certificates. After more than a day waiting I have emailed them again about it and I told them I really want to see it before my purchase. A day later they have emailed it to me and as I thougt by then there was something they wanted to hide. I was right as their certificates clearly say that their latex is FR-latex which means they use Fire Retardants!!!!! Then I asked them why this information is NOT on their website?! Then they emailed me back saying they now included this infirmation in their FAQ part which, in my opinion, nobody really reads anyway. Very unfair way of doing business, misleading their buyers, very far from fair trading!

Dear Ms Holz,
I completely agree with you chemical fire retardants in mattresses and many other every day products are a real health hazard and something to avoid. A recent House of Commons environmental audit report has finally recognised that this is an issue too.
The Fire safety test report we sent you states our (organic certified) latex is FR which means it meets the fire retardancy requirements . You will be glad to know, as it states on our both our product and Frequently Asked Questions pages, that our organic (GOTS and GOLS) certified mattresses use ONLY natural and organic certified materials (natural carbon and organic wool) to meet the UK fire safety regulations. In fact Una Organic is one of only a handful of companies in the whole of the UK that uses natural materials rather than FR chemicals.
So if you are looking for a genuine organic mattress without any chemical fire retardants, petro chemical foams or glues then Una is a good choice.

Terrible and hugely stressful buying…
Terrible and hugely stressful buying experience- delivery a total shambles, nearly a week late and this is only after dozens of phone calls where I finally got them to agree to send with a different delivery partner... to top it off they sent me a wrong package so have to wait another 2 days! Customer service is apologetic but that's it- no offer of compensation despite having to sleep without a mattress for 5 nights- totally avoidable as I bought the mattress several weeks in advance and told them what day I wanted it. They were given numerous opportunities to sort out the problem but let it go on and on instead. I wouldn't buy from them again. Utterly poor logistics- and for such a premium price I expect way better customer service.
So far the part of the mattress I have received seems good, hence the 2 stars.

You are right we had some awful experiences with the warehousing and delivery company Kinetic Logistics where they lost things, sent the wrong items or gave the incorrect items to a third party transport company. Of course you are our customer and we take full responsibility which in this case means we have now moved to a different warehousing and delivery company. Nevertheless we feel so bad that you (and some other customers) had to endure such awful service with mistake upon mistake. How can we make it up to you? We are a small idealistic company trying to offer a genuine honest organic and sustainable product and we truly do care about our customers. Do please get back to me.
