BUYER BEWARE!!! This company will lie to you to get you to sign the contract and that's when they have you. We were lied to and deceived by multiple people and were told that after it taking 3.5 weeks to complete the project as they apparently don't know how to order the correct parts to install windows, we were told they would give us a fair compensation for the hassle and problems they solved, that compensation was less than 1%!!!!!! If you have to deal with Tyler, he is the shiftiest little creep you will encounter. He is the mastermind of deception, and the rest of the crew follow right along!! If anything, good comes out of our pain and terrible experience is the hope that this review deters anyone from doing business with this poor excuse of a company. They have multiple class actions lawsuits against them already, something I wish I found out before ever talking to them!! So if you are looking for a window installer, STAY AWAY from these hoodlums!!

I purchased 5 windows, a picture with two sides, a standard, and a small over the sink. All were double hung, except the picture. I purchased these during a buy 2 get 2 free promotion. I was given a grand total price. When I questioned this I was told that's the way it is! No breakdown of each window price or if I even got the buy 2 get 2.
I've been told that I paid to much. I really think Universal Windows Direct should have a better explanation of their pricing! I believe that I was way overcharged!
I won't do business with them again.

The installers were knowledgeable friendly courteous and kind they did a great job they took all trash with them left nothing behind I recommend them and this company to other people who are looking for quality Windows

Excellent instalation of windows. The gentleman called and informed us he would be a little late due to a trailer flat tire. He immediately began removal of old windows. He was efficient, the first window was in in no time. The larger pair went in just as fast. He sealed the inside of the windows first. Then worked on outside. They look amazing. I paid 2000 for a picture window waited 8 weeks and they show up with a window that was 12 inches wide instead of 8 feet. Now told it will be another 8 weeks. Wasted my time. Not happy. No confirmation they will order the right window this time.

I had a good experience with the sales person. They provided a lot of information new and valuable. But the wait between signing to have them completed and the actual time they scheduled for completion racked my brain and had my anxiety through the roof. The window's are made to order and created for your specific window, or that was what I was told. The windows are a good product, but I would like to experience them through a Wisconsin winter to make a thorough evaluation. The installers were great and got the work done quickly. They checked in frequently and made sure to keep me in the know. Overall pretty darn good.

The sales person was very informative. The installers did a neat and efficient job and cleaned up all the mess.

I am truly happy with my purchase. Matt was very detailed and took the time out to explain the process. My windows look amazing.

Ordered the windows. Look great. Wish I would have ordered the other window to complete my room with new windows. Took a little long to get but they came in and were installed within that week. The installers were professional and did the job so quickly. Cleaned up the messes. The caulk job was pretty good just needed a touch up in some corners. My windows are beautiful.

Isaia did a great job on installing our screen door!

Isaic was on time and very efficient in replacing my window screen. He was professional and knowledgeable. My experiences with Universal Windows Direct have all been great, from window installation to repair.

I had a great experience from start to finish. The sales person was professional, the communication was excellent, my windows arrived earlier than projected and the installation team was first rate. I highly recommend Universal Windows Direct-Milwaukee

Wishing we could give them a 0 score.
The nightmare continues.

We fully understand that there are times when things go wrong. The indicator of a good company is there a response when things go bad.

In addition to no responses or action on behalf of Universal Windows , direct, below is the list of issues that they have not been willing to address for almost a month. We’ve received excuses on the infrequent times when they have responded – a car accident, broken down car, and bereavement leave.

Here they are one more time, in addition to the photos:
1. Incorrect inside trim was ordered. Awaiting install of correct trim.
2. Unfinished trim at inside door jam. Needs matching 1/4 round.
3. Incorrect screen door was installed. We ordered one with the vanishing screen.
4. Outside trim does not match door frame. Matching trim needs to be installed.
5. Siding was gashed by installer. Needs to be replaced with matching siding or repaired to our satisfaction.

Note: the wire that you see on the side was pulled through on the first installation. It was attached to the Ring door bell. The second installer attached the Ring doorbell without pulling the wire thru. As a result, We had to purchase a remote door bell to work with the Ring.

With so many window, siding, and door people in business, one would think companies would prefer to not have this type of review. Universal Windows Direct doesn’t seem to really care.

What a ride! We were excited to learn that our front door arrived early and would be installed within days. What we didn’t know is that it would take days to get the job done.

Thus far, have a new door. However, it arrived with the wrong size inside molding and the wrong color outside trim. We were told the indoor trim needed to be ordered and would take 3 weeks.

We were also told the installers would arrive between 1 and 3 pm, inspire of the fact that they were told we’d only be available 2 pm or later. We received a text that the crew was running behind on their first job and we’d be alerted when they’d be on the way. Well, they never showed nor did they let us know they would not be coming.

Only time will tell if or when they will show up to finish the job. Oh! And there is a gap in the side of the door with daylight coming through. Let’s see how they’ll deal with that.

Why a 2 and not a 0? Because the install crew communicated with us and wanted to have the job done right.

Matt showed me how great the windows were. The two man crew did a fantastic job. They were professional and the windows, caulking and cleanup was great. I would recommend Universal Window Direct to everyone. Thanks for a job well done. The Dowling family

I would have given 5 stars, but the sales person that came to the house forgot his tablet and such to record all of the information needed to order the windows.
But the man that came to do a final set of measurements and processing of the order was fantastic. He called when he was 2 - 3 hours away (looking at other jobs), and still showed up 45 minutes early, yes early! Thank you to that man.
Then the fantastic installers that were just here today (1/4/2024). I was told it would be several hours for the removal of the old and instalation of the 2 large windows. It took them less than 2 hours, and what a fantastic job they did. They even went the extra mile to clean the areas they were in.
As for the quality of the windows, they fit as close to perfect as you can get. Long term, only time will tell. So far my wife and I are very pleased.
