Terrible hotel with poor service and dirty, tired and unsafe standards compared to a good Indian or western hotel.
Hotel management dealt with us very badly once we left, cutting our 5 day stay to one night.
Read the TA reviews carefully and see if you can spot the pattern in the “good” reviews! We should have noticed what was happening with “similar” reviews.
Unsafe, Unhealthy & Grubby
Unsafe
The first experience of the room was a fusing sparking power box. They removed the cover for our stay and left it like that. Electrics without a cover is dangerous practice.
Unhealthy
The bathroom walls and ceiling were coated with Mold spores, a face towel was filthy with spores. The wide extent of this spore growth was a serious concern We experienced adverse respiratory effects, both of us had tight chests in the night.
Grubby
Fixtures and fittings were grubby, heavily marked and damaged.
The painted walls were in very poor state. Marked, dirty and damaged. The whole impression was depressing, drab and grotty.
Hotel Response
Within 10 mins we complained to reception. I was angry that anyone would think the room could pass as acceptable and decent. The whole room was cleaned but nothing could really remove all of the mould and spores.
Because he thought the hotel was unsafe and so filthy, we left the next day despite paying 5 nights upfront. We booked this hotel with Agoda.
Reviews
I was fooled by fake good reviews of this hotel on a certain advisor site for trips - now I question why so many of those reviews from are individuals, with Indian names, who have left no other reviews, following the same pattern of praising individual people who work at the hotel.Fake.
Despite being rather apologetic at the time of our stay and leaving, the hotel has refused to refund our money.
