We were welcomed from the first moment we stepped into showroom. We were dealt with by Callum Hill and Mel. So easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable. Great team at the Banbury branch
I’ll be honest, buying a car from a big corporate dealership like Vertu Motors is normally something I’d approach with the same enthusiasm as a root canal.
They can feel very target driven and impersonal, and it’s not usually where I’d expect a relaxed car buying experience.
However, the team at the Banbury branch completely changed that, and that is entirely down to the people there.
Mel looked after us and was brilliant.
Friendly, knowledgeable, reassuring and just a genuinely lovely guy to deal with. There was no pushy sales routine, just normal conversation and honest advice. In fact, I’d say Mel sold the car to us as much as the car sold itself.
We also dealt with Matt and Callum, who were equally great. Both professional, easy to chat to and clearly people who take pride in what they do and in looking after customers properly.
Thanks guys, you are a credit to Vertu.

Was ok until………..
You’re treated incredibly well until the car is sold. I’m 14 months in owning my car and it’s been in the garage 4-5 times. Now I’m paying £1000+ for repairs despite it being in warranty. Plus there’s another £2000+ repair required on the clutch which I simply cannot afford so I’m likely to lose this car in the near future and not be in a position to to purchase another one.
Great sales but terrible aftercare.

Hi Mr Cooper, firstly many thanks for providing your feedback, we do take this extremely seriously. Having looked into your vehicle history we can see that you have indeed been in four times prior to the present visit. We can also see that the all of the previous work has been covered by either the vehicles warranty or the service plan that you purchased prior to handover. Having spoken to our Service team they have advised that your present issue is not a warranty related issue and it falls under ‘wear and tear’ criteria of the warranty policy. As you will have seen by the video that was provided for you some of the work has only been highlighted as an amber warning so does not require the work to be done immediately. Should you wish to proceed with the work when it is required, we do offer the ability to pay the invoice across a number of months if this does help you. Should you have any additional questions regarding your current visit, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Rubbish Customer Service!
I had a fault in my car which should be under warranty but needed someone just to look at it, not actually do anything to it but look only which would take literally 10 seconds. I was told I would have to book the car in for at least a day and the earliest they could fit it in would be in over two months time! I was gobsmacked to be told this and the woman I was trying to talk to and explain just kept talking over the top of me. She was rude and abrupt I thought. Having worked in the motor trade myself for many years I have never heard of anyone having to wait for over TWO months just for someone to look at a car. If it then needs parts and another two months wait what then? Sorry I wont be going to Vertu Banbury again if this is how they treat their customers.

We called in to Hyundai Banbury to look…
We called in to Hyundai Banbury to look at a tucson plug in hybrid. We met Lewis who showed us around the tucson and took us on a demonstration drive to show us what it could do. We were very impressed with the car and when we returned Lewis sorted out a cost for the demo model we had driven which we accepted. We have now purchased the vehicle and are extremely pleased with our purchase. Lewis is a very informative sales adviser who made the purchase run very smoothly for which we are great full. We would definitely recommend Lewis and Vertu Banbury for buying a car and would have no problem returning in the future. Thank you.
