Richard F was very easy to deal with and buying the car from him was very easy. Five stars for Richard.
It’s no criticism of him, but he took holiday between my placing the order and taking delivery of this vehicle bought from stock. I had a few questions during that period and nobody seemed to be available to action anything in his absence.
Other than that, no problems, good service

Not the great garage it was
I have used this garage for years, and usually everything is first class, however, this time, things were very different.
I used the self check in and obtained the keys for the loan vehicle. Please note there was no check done on the fuel level or state of the car before you sign for it. THIS SHOULD BE MADE AN OPTION !!
Having already explained the problem, and showing the receptionist the video of the sound the vehicle makes, I left.
I received a call to say that they could not replicate the noise and that the car was ready for collection.
The reason I write this review is because I had already told the garage the noise is so infrequent, they would not be able to replicate it. I did not receive any evidence that they had carried out the visual health check, nor did I receive a video of the vehicle on the ramp having said check. The noise sounds like someone outside your house drilling - and that by looking under the car, I would have hoped a loose panel or belly pan would have been found top cause the noise.
When I returned the car the receptionist checked the car, and I was asked to put more fuel in it. I had already put £15.00 in it, and only travelled 30 miles. Looking at the paperwork now, the car fuel level was shown at half a tank when I got the car, which was not the case, but as there is no pre check before i signed for it, already it is too late. Only of production of receipts to the value of £15.00 would she "let me off on this occasion" - just pure rudeness.
I asked if the key fob battery had been replaced, to which she pressed the button and said "yes, because the light is flashing" - there were no notes on the report to support this battery had been replaced.
It will be along time before I visit this garage again, and I will make a point of checking over the temporary car before I sign for anything.

I would like to express my sincere…
I had an outstanding experience with the Service Department at VW Harrogate, thanks to Hannah Chapman.
When my car developed a fault, the earliest available appointment was over a week away. Normally that would have been frustrating, but I was also recovering from surgery and trying to manage two children during the school holidays, so being without my car for that long would have been incredibly difficult.
Hannah immediately looked for a solution rather than simply telling me to wait. She suggested we leave the car with the dealership, and she would do everything she could to fit it in around other bookings. True to her word, my husband dropped the car off on Tuesday afternoon, and it was diagnosed, repaired, and ready for collection by Thursday evening.
What really stood out was Hannah's communication throughout. She kept me updated every step of the way, was friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about helping. It's rare to receive customer service that feels so personal and proactive.
Hannah is a fantastic asset to Volkswagen. Her compassion, professionalism, and commitment to her customers turned what could have been a very stressful situation into a smooth and positive experience.
A huge thank you to Hannah for going above and beyond. She is a real credit to VW Harrogate, and I hope she receives the recognition she truly deserves.

Pleasant service experience.
I had my second car service & MOT with Vertu Harrogate this week. Everything went very smoothly, including the drop-off back home in the morning and the pick-up in the afternoon. Throughout the day, Millie kept me fully informed of progress on the service, and altogether she made it a very pleasant experience.

A positive experience from beginning to…
A positive experience at Harrogate Vertu…from beginning to end. Bilal was polite, personable and positive. He explained the intricacies of the vehicle carefully and took me for a Test Drive. Peter printed the paperwork, which was important to me for old fashioned record keeping.
The extremely competitive price caught my eye and the vehicle was just what I wanted.

We were welcomed so warmly and given so much time when looking for our new car. The salesperson was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
