V4U audio lessons are exactly what I’ve been looking for after 3 years learning Vietnamese and despite making progress on speaking continuing to struggle to understand Vietnamese conversations. These lessons are accessible, relevant and interesting. The audios are recorded in high quality at a good speed and level so that they are a challenge without becoming overwhelming. The accompanying Quizlet modules gently introduce new vocabulary and can be studied through the app in a way that is engaging and rewarding. I particularly enjoy using the ‘spell’ option to test my listening for tones.

I'm so glad to be part of V4U since its very first days. Thanks to V4U, I have had chance to be a core team member, a facilitator and a language exchanger in each V4U season. I was paired with a surprisingly matched language partner and we have exchanged languages twice a week for nearly one year. I have learned a lot not only about the target language but also about my language partner's culture. Actually, I always admire my language partner for his putting in great effort to learn Vietnamese on a daily basis. Besides, I had an opportunity to be trained and to teach Vietnamese for foreingers in an appropriate way with lots of V4U's support like training documents, materials, especially authentic audios and videos which are fun yet effective. Truly, V4U has done a fantastic job!

I have been with V4U for 2 seasons so far, in a role of a facilitator and an exchanger as well. No word can express my gratitude and appreciation for this amazing language & culture exchange program. Everything is amazing. I even got chance to meet my exchanger in person who is coincidently my lecturer in my MA course. ❤️❤️❤️

This site helped me to learn study vietnamese by my self, they have excellent content and don't only focus on beginners but also have courses for intermediate and advanced learners

I feel very fortunate to be a facilitator of V4U. In V4U, it's not only a language exchange program, but also cultural exchange. Joining V4U, you will be able to dive in the new language. Moreover, through the program, we can spread the Vietnamese culture as well as discover in new things in foreign countries.

I have been studying with V4U for more than a year. We study the “official” dialect of the North of the country, which people in the South understand. It uses many ways/tools to enhance my learning. The core is my 1:1 Zoom sessions with my teacher, Quy, who knows how to teach and is supportive & funny too. She adjusts our lessons to my needs & pace. She uses colorful & amusing modules that I have for review between lessons. She also emphasizes pronunciation & listening skills. There are many little YouTube videos that provide real-life conversations & train my “non-Asian ears”!
The lessons also provide insight into VN culture & society, practical tips.
Between lessons I can review the modules, as well as Quizlet (an app) vocab flash cards which even have audio!
V4U also teams me up with another VN person for weekly Zoom sessions to enhance my learning. I also have useful little assignments between lessons.
I look forward to using my new language when I again visit this beautiful country. I already use it in Facebook chats with VN Friends.

Joining Vietnamesephoyou as a facilitator, I feel envious of every language exchanger. I did join their video calls, lessons once in a while to provide technical support. However, I spent most of the time observing and enjoying their fascinating talks ^^ It was really a great time for me to witness all exchangers make every effort to practice speaking a language :))) I believe this program is not only a chance to learn a new language, culture but also a way to make new friends and discover a new "you"!!! Next time, I will definitely register as a language exchanger ^^
