I recently stayed at beach-front apartment in Quarteira (Algarve) administrated buy this terrible company called Stay in Duma (Part of VillasDuma) PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
The apartment himself was okish, has a good location, but the cleaning aspect was absolutely terrible and all of this could have been manageable but our stay was completely ruined due a THEFT.
Someone BROKE-IN to the apartment and my engagement and wedding rings were stolen. The theft was reported to the Police and to our surprise the Police told us two other couples reported similar thefts in the area that day.
On top of this terrible situation we faced the disgraceful attitude and total lack of interest, help and support by BOTH the management team of Stay in Duma and the French owner Mr. Roger Berthod that was simply unbelievable as they didn’t want to hear anything about the break-in and theft and they put the phone down every time they were contacted.
We also contacted Airbnb directly and they offered support, compensation and immediately so much more empathy.
The break-in was so easy because we received the wrong instructions about how to close the door, plus the door had another secure lock and we did not receive these keys. After this theft we realised just how bad the security was.
1. Entrance door was constantly open
2. No cameras
3. No check of who is coming in or out.
4. Lack of support from Stay in Duma.
My advise is simply DO NOT stay in this apartment or any other property administrated by Stay in Duma (Villas Duma) This company is so unprofessional and the level of service is non-existence.
