I wish there were negative stars
I wish there were negative stars.
I purchased a Vocier suitcase over 3 years ago, specifically because of their advertised lifetime warranty on materials and components — including the wheels. On a recent trip, the wheel tread began disintegrating mid-use, shedding rubber fragments across the floor until the wheel was reduced to a bare, unusable core. This is a manufacturing/materials defect, not damage from misuse.
I filed a warranty claim and received an automated response saying Vocier would look into the issue. That was over 4 weeks ago. Since then: complete silence. No follow-up, no timeline, no resolution — despite their own warranty explicitly covering exactly this kind of failure.
Based on other reviews I’ve since found, this isn’t an isolated incident. Multiple customers report the same pattern: a “lifetime warranty” that’s honored right up until you actually need to use it, at which point the company goes quiet or tries to charge you for what should be a covered repair.
A warranty is only as good as the company standing behind it. Vocier’s marketing promises durability and lifetime coverage; the reality, in my experience, is premium pricing with no accountability once the product fails. I’d think twice before trusting this brand with a significant purchase.
