I had a great experience, mainly due to the course content and the group I was with. The course was longer than I expected and some parts had a ton of information which was great. I’d recommend not skipping over the less interesting parts as some of those details were critical. SAM registration was smooth for me as I was able to just hand it off and it was done.

The community is honestly half of it. You can post a question at 10pm and somebody who's actually done it will answer you. I was pleasantly surprised with the response times.

This is by far the most complete course on getting into government contracting that I've found. They really cover everything from beginning to end and give you a lot of templates to reduce the amount of time you need to start up your own business. The War Dogs Academy community is super helpful for filling in any blanks that you may not have understood from the course or trying to apply the course to actually winning contracts. I wouldn't say that the business is easy but that is what keeps out all the competitors so I actually see that as a good thing. I definitely would have spent more than a very long time trying to learn in my own all the things they teach you. To be honest I'm actually surprised they don't charge a lot more because most courses on the internet are a lot worse and more expensive. Best bang for your buck for getting into government contracting by far

I want to update my original review with more context, since I think my first pass came off harsher than the full picture deserves.

The course itself: genuinely well organized, high production quality, clear modules. Compared to other courses I've bought, this one holds up well on content alone.

If you're serious about pursuing government contracting, the material is solid.

On leadership: David called me personally to address what happened, took ownership on behalf of his team even for things that weren't directly his doing, and I did get my refund.

That mattered to me, and I think it says something real about how he leads. I had limited 1-on-1 time with him, but what I saw, I respected.

The part I do want to stay honest about: before purchasing, I asked their sales rep in writing what the refund policy was, and was told there wasn't one - that the 90-day guarantee was the closest equivalent.

After I requested a refund, I was given a different, previously undisclosed policy (refund within 2 days if under 20% of material accessed).

Those are two written, contradictory answers from the same company, before and after purchase. I'm including this not to slander anyone, but because it's a real, documented experience other buyers should know about - get the refund policy in writing or on a recorded call before you purchase, regardless of what you're told verbally.

On the business model itself: government contracting is genuinely difficult - thin margins, real legal exposure if you fail to deliver, and if you mess up you can be barred from government work permanently.

Low startup cost is the one real upside. The rest is a lot of grind and risk that isn't for everyone. This may be a great full-time path for the right person; it wasn't the right fit for me specifically.

Rating: 3/5. Good course content and a leader who owns his team's mistakes, weighed against a real refund-policy inconsistency that buyers should know about going in.

Do your own research, get every policy in writing, and go in clear-eyed about what the business model actually demands day to day.

I had to take a pause in the process due to a high work load with my current occupation. Still working on moving forward through the system with the goal of being awarded my first contract.

I had a great experience with the folks at War Dogs Academy. Very Thorough and comprehensive course with lots of support available. I'm almost finished the course and looking forward to win my first contract!

So far after going through the course I've learned more in this course than any other thing I have done in this field. They set you up tremendously well for success.

The mentors are outstanding. They genuinely take the time to help me through any issues or challenges I face. The solicitations can be complicated, and these guys help with every step. I was a little skeptical at first but this was certainly worth my time.

I have been looking for a gov't contract program that works for many years. Until I came across War Dogs Academy, I had already spent $18,000 on others trying to get started and never saw a dime of that money back. I have already learned more and gained more knowledge with how to make this work and proceed forward in the gov't contracting world than any other program, and I'm not even done with the training.
